I help trying to work through a domestic violence situation. I help trying to save my marriage. And no one responded to me so the allegations coming out about Boyd and him knowing about a 12-year-old child being molested and stating that we need to protect all children just doesn't resonate with me because I try to get their help at my own church to protect my child and no one did anything. The same way my ex-husband abandoned us and financially ruined me and made us homeless, he was laying hands on people at a church service that was recorded at the downtown campus. I warned them about his interaction with children due to private reasons, I told them what I was going through, and they believed my ex-husband's lies. A man who was going through anger, control, domestic violence, classes, going to church and laying hands on people, and this day has not said a word to a child he raised who has PTSD, anxiety and extreme trauma for everything that we've been put through. New life church and my opinion abandoned me as well. One of the roughest lowest moments in my life. If we're going to protect all children, no one definitely wasn't there to help me and my son.

I just do not expect it or know anyone else with his energy or calling. It was not really an official part of his ministry more of who he was and how his heart was. I know that organizations and ministries often change vision when the founder dies or leaves. The founder's son, now president of World Challenge said in a letter on World Challenge's page http://www.worldchallenge.org/node/1166 "I join my father in this effort with all my heart." Here is a quote from Gary Wilkerson on the World Challenge web site: "I want to assure you that the vision and ministry of my father and World Challenge, Inc. will continue. We still have the same Board of Directors, same focus and same leading of the Holy Spirit for the work God has placed in our hands. I have been actively serving as President of World Challenge, Inc. for the past year and will officially take the role now. We will not make any major directional changes but will carry on in the same heart and vision as my father. Even though my father has gone to be with the Lord, the work will continue. I attended several churches before finding Academy Christian Church (ACC; Old Ranch Road location) and each one had too many things that kept me from feeling it was the right place for me to attend. I was searching for a welcoming Jesus focused, Biblically honest and true church where the worship and praise was participatory, not presentation like a concert and the songs gave glory to God, not me. The first time I arrived at ACC the doors were opened for me and I was greeted by several members and made to feel welcome. The worship and praise time was perfect and the sermon was true to Scriptures. I've been attending for 3 1/2 months and not once have I felt like an outsider - I've been made to feel like family. While they offer services online every week, I prefer the in-person experience. They have 2 locations, the Old Ranch Road & Voyager main location and another off of West Pikes Peak Avenue. I'm hoping to officially make this my new church home within the next week or two. God is good - all the time! May all of you reading this be blessed and I hope you'll consider ACC as I have.

My dad…read morehas been going to this church for 22 years, given THOUSANDS of dollars to it, had been active in different clubs and social activities, and goes to every single special event they put on. All he asked them in return is for some support and prayers for his heart surgery and he not only was treated like a stranger when he called, but he got not one phone call from the church to wish him well. I never had a good opinion of this church since the time my husband and I attended at my dad's request and they spent so much time asking for money. Left a bad taste in my mouth, but this makes me ANGRY. Isn't a church supposed to be there for their congregants, especially one who has been there since the early days of the ministry before it was the huge juggernaut it is today? Greedy, evil people run this church. Shame on them.
