For the past 6ys, I have been a member World Conquerors Church, under the leadership, and teaching of Pastor Daren Barron and 1st Lady Monnique Barron. Though I have been a member of various churches since I was saved, World Conquerors Church is where I have grown the most in my relationship with Jesus. This is the first ministry where I actually serve in other mininistries. It is through-what I believe, the anointed word of God spoken to me through Pastor Daren and through my service in various mininistries, that I truly am in a place where I am discovering who I was made to be! I highly recommend anyone to come and at least visit or attend a live in person service, perhaps God may have a word for you. read more

World Conquerors Church - Apostle Frederick Price in his visit with WCC. - Churches Near Me - Oakland, California

I've been contemplating how to write a review of this church for a while - or for the last month or so that I've been attending - and Stephanie S. in Annapolis gave me the words. We were talking and I mentioned WCC and something Pastor Baron had said for like the millionth time in a month and she said: "I think this church has been good for you" Yes, Steph, it has. This is a great church. It's a home (but shhhhhh - don't tell my pastor from back home) for me now. You'll never meet a group of kinder, more welcoming people...really. And if you're like me and kinda wary of church and churchfolks and church stuff - they'll quickly put your mind to easy. The church service is relaxed. Pastor Darren Baron and his wife First Lady Monnique are warm and his sermon is always to the point and thought out and (most importantly) real - he doesn't mince words to make you feel good but he doesn't hit you over the head with fire and brimstone. He's honest about the challenges he and his family have faced and puts a very personal point on the Bible. The congregation is smallish but active and nice. I kinda feel like if I disappeared for a Sunday or 2, I'd get a phone call or an email to make sure I'm still alive - very important for someone who lives alone and has no family in the area. Actually, when I've said that I'm the only one out here, several people have said: well, we're your family now. And I get the feeling that that's definitely the case. The church, as a whole, is very active. There's ALWAYS something going on. Usually family/couple oriented, but that doesn't seem to exclude the singles. There's several weekly Bible study groups that are location based (Oakland, Concord, and Livermore). I never thought that I would spend Friday night at Bible study, but I look forward to attending Growth Group every week (and baking for the group, too). Anyway - I'm soooooo happy I found WCC and am grateful to KayJay for yelping about it when it was related to such a tough part of her life. read more

World Conqueror's Church, ah where to begin. It is a small church doing great things for God. Pastor Daren is an incredible man of God, who prides himself in conducting his ministry with excellence. I love that WCC is a non denominational church because as Christians, we often give in to such divisiveness by disputing over trivial differences in practices, instead of coming together as the unified body of Christ. Because in reality, nothing is nearly as important as having a foundation that rests absolutely in the word of God, which is the case here at WCC. The warm and welcoming way every person is embraced by the members never wavers at this church. As a 22 year old college student, what particularly resonates with me is the straightforward word I receive and how applicable it is to my reality. More so, WCC is a family-rich church and as a young adult I am blessed to be given the opportunity to see first-hand what powerful, devoted, God-revering marriages and families look like. No gimmicks or pretenses, this church provides just real and practical word for your life, always adorned with love. There are many opportunities during the week to receive the word aside from Sunday services held at 10:30 am, such as Maturity class before Sunday services (at 9 am), weekly growth groups, and a phenomenal Bible Study every Thursday evening at 7:00 pm. Now, I will say that hearing the word here is not always going to be comfortable but let's be honest, the truth is hardly ever comfortable. What it will do, however, is give you a very precise reflection of where you are in your walk with Christ and provide you with the steps you need to be firmly planted in the will of God for your life. I absolutely recommend this church if you are looking for a place that exudes love and encourages you to allow God's word to provide guidance and empowerment in your life. read more

It only took one visit for my husband and I to know that WCC was the church for us. In just one visit we were shown so much love from everyone there and received a word from God, given by Pastor Daren that changed our lives. The word that Pastor Daren gives each week can be easily applied to your life and always causes you to examine yourself, to make sure that you are living a life that is pleasing to God. I LOVE the word at WCC because Pastor gives it to you just as God gave it to him. I could talk about the word that I receive throughout the week and on Sundays forever, because it's just that good. First Lady Monnique often compares the word to a big slice of her favorite dessert (chocolate cake) and it's even better than that! The word says that we don't live on bread alone but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. We eat good at WCC :) The people at WCC are amazing. It starts with Pastor and First Lady though. The way they love God, each other, their family, and God's people makes you want to step up your love game. They both always say that love is the "secret sauce" at WCC and it is. Everyone there is so loving and welcoming, and it's genuine. People actually remember your name and are excited to see you when you walk in. In less than a year of joining WCC, people at church became associates, associates became friends, and friends became family. If you are looking for a place to be loved and develop a real relationship with God, a relationship where you begin to know him as Father, Healer, Lord, Provider, Friend etc. WCC is the place for you, I PROMISE! WCC isn't a perfect church (and I don't think one exists), but it is a church perfectly seeking God. read more

Where do i start? This church is more then a blessing to me. I have went from an internet church goer to an actual church goer. If you like TD Jakes, Fredrick K.C. Price, Creflo Dollar, and Phillip Goudoux, then you will LOVE Pastor Daren Barron. The word is practical, the people are real. If you don't have the heart to constantly look yourself in the mirror and change you, then this is not the place for you. Pastor is honest and practical. There are so many opportunities that they make available for someone to come and get the word. There is Thursday night prayer and bible study, Sunday Maturity Class, Church, Growth Groups on Tuesday's and Wednesday's (Growth Groups are like bible studies but it is self study with a group of members). Singles meeting on Friday's and Men's Meeting on Monday. It is family oriented, young, vibrant, church. The First Family is personable, and loving. Because of God thru WCC i have become a better me. You really do discover who you were born to be in this church. read more

WCC has been my church for 4 years now. Actually WCC is the first church I've been a member of since becoming a believer. I appreciate the sound and practical teaching of the Bible. WCC is full of imperfect people deciding to love and live for God. I have grown tremendously in God since attending. Both Pastor and First Lady are real down to Earth people who are making a real effort to live God's people. Wow. I look up and i can't believe that I've been at this church for almost a year. I discovered World Conqueror's Church on Yelp.. so its a pleasure to give back. World Conqueror's Church is the perfect church for a pragmatist or a man or woman of reason. Why? Because Pastor Daren has an anointing on him to talk. To convey information in an understandable way. Even if this information includes the awesomeness of God and the beautiful power that we have in Him. Every Sunday, I'm excited to learn something... not just to be hyped up and then sent out. This church is about building individuals who will truly go forth and build their families, communities, and their world. How are people 'built up' you may ask. I'll tell you:) Through the array of opportunities to receive, review, and retain the Word given by Pastor Barron. Like other reviewers have mentioned, there is bible study, growth groups, and maturity class, but now WCC is going beyond these 'traditional' avenues and has incorporated some unique individual-enriching events. One such event is International Day, an annual occurrence where WCC members choose a country to learn about and then in turn educate fellow members and community guests. This year was the first year and we were blessed to hear stories from Christians representing different countries. There was even a speaker from Compassion International informing us on how to get involved with impacting the life of a future leader in a foreign country. I've gotten so much from WCC. This is the first time in my life that I can say I have a family outside of my own. The people here really care about contributing to your life, as you allow them to. You will feel replete with love when you experience the true care and consideration from most of the WCC members. This church is always doing something and I LOVE it for that reason. The leadership is very supportive and open to new ideas and there is so much opportunity to help out with the current initiatives. This was the first church that I ever chose. I know that God sent me here. I trust this church. I've grown with and through this church. I think you should try this church--it will change your life. read more

Pastor Daren Baren and First Lady Monnique provides an awesome church in which all families are welcomed. Most importantly, Pastor Daren preaches the Word in a very practical style in which makes it quite easy to understand. His church allows its members and visitors to be able to Discover Who they are born to be. My family and I have been members for 11 years and we continue to attend because of his word and family atmosphere. read more
