Really I would give them no stars. Let me tell you my experience with this company. My son went to their summer camp at the Antioch In Shape and it was awful. They didn't do any arts or crafts the children did not learn about nutrition, like it stated in the hand book or on the web site. Also my son and other children who went to the camp were bullied by older children. My son was hit multiple times and punched in the head that left a mark. My son was called names and none of this was brought to my attention by the camp counselors. The counselors did not communicate what was going on in the camp or with my child. It was only after we got home that my son would tell me what happen. I believe this camp is unfit to take care of children and that the staff is not trained to deal with the children. Did the World Events Summer Camp in Concord and my son was injured the first week and they couldn't tell me what happened. There were multiple no shows for extended care with no notification leaving parents stranded. Bare minimum coverage, much of the time one caretaker for up to 10 kids. The kids took naps and ate on a racket ball floor. On top of all that, the owner and lead coordinator were unapologetic and didn't follow through things administratively. Do not do business with this company. Even their basketball program was a bare minimum event...only two teams, no provided coaches. read more

We played flag football ball two years ago, and we had a great experience; great coach, jersey, and trophies. We signed him up this season for flag football and it has been horrible! The owner doesn't hire anyone to coach, it's base off of parent volunteers, and if a parent doesn't volunteer he won't step up and find a coach. The poor kids go without a coach, so if you don't want to volunteer, then definitely don't sign up. In addition, the jerseys were cheap and had to push back the start day b.c these cheap jerseys had not came in. Finally, the trophies and no longer trophies they had out cheap metals now. Never will I go through this so called 60 minutes of play. Owner is short pocketing instead of investing into his company. Sad and pathetic. read more

I sent my daughter to the day camp in Stockton and all they did was crafts, no nature walks or learning about nutrition. But that's not my problem. I paid for 2 weeks but on the Thursday of the first week when I went to pick her up they informed me that my daughter was the only one coming to the camp so they were going to cancel it. I've called probably about 15 times for my refund. I always get the same excuses; oh that's with the billing department, it may take a while for them to send out the check, oh you haven't got it yet let me call you back. WELL ITS BEEN 3 OR MORE MONTHS!!! how long do I have to wait. I called today and the little dick asshole wouldn't even take my call. As you can clearly see I am now very pissed off! And I'm just going to go down there and they can give me my refund even if it has to come out of that little weasels own pocket!! Two thumbs down! I would never deal with anything that had a world events logo attached!! oh and not only that but they gave me a hard time about the refund, saying they couldnt give my money back for the last day which was the friday cause the guy said they were canceling after that week. Um no he didn't.! On thursday He said "sorry, they cancelled the camp, call the main number for a refund". Jerks read more

Signed up for indoor soccer in Riverbank and World Events decided to cancel the program but won't provide refunds. I'm out $160 for my two kids. Don't trust this company!!!!! read more

The coach my son had for 6 year olds pretty much ruined my sons first experience. He played about 3 min a game while other kids played the whole game. The coach just wanted to win and at 6 years old it's about learning. He was terrible about substituting. 4 kids on the bench and he put 1 in same one came out 1 min later. I said something to coach and the guy who runs world eventI didn't want to but had no choice. Nothing changed. We showed up for every practice when other kids weren't including the coach. He worked hard to get better. It wasn't fair to him and I paid just as much money as everybody else. Last game I had my 4 year old daughter in the pouring rain and my son didn't even play in the first half so I took off his flags and said we were leaving. Couch said I was gonna put him in but I said to late thanks. His name is Tristan and if you get him switch teams. Thanks worlds event inform your coaches better. read more
