I ended up having to stop at this particular Cost Plus location because they have some Hello Kitty merchandise that my local store was sold out of. I placed my online order and waited for the text to tell me my order is ready for pick up. I arrive and am greeted by both the cashier and the manager. I informed the manager I was picking up a online order. I let him know that I wanted to look around for a few more items and he he said, that fine and to let him know after I picked extra items. I found even more Hello Kitty\Sanrio items that again my local Cost Plus didn't carry. After I was finished, I tell the manager know and low and behold I didn't have to wait in the long line lol. He rang me up and handed me my online order and I was out the door. That's great customer service and much appreciated. I did knock off a star because some of the employees didn't know where some of their items were located? Maybe it was seasonal help? Overall, I had a great customer service experience from beginning to end.

What can I say about this place, I could spend practically all day in here and upon recent visit seeing they have a Hello Kitty Collection all on sale for 50%..things may have gotten a little out of hand lol! As a child it was my favorite and now having a daughter I can now share that love with her and she wants all and everything Hello Kitty! I purchased gift wrap, a Christmas stocking and a cup with a straw for her birthday, Happy 45th Anniversary Hello Kitty! I would most highly recommend this location, they have a great rewards program, I saved 15% off my purchase for signing up and received a Hello Kitty Cutie Beans! They offer samples of their goodies as well in store, we enjoyed the Nyakers Gingersnap! I will definitely continue to shop here!

Not-so-nice customer service While I'm a patient person my patience isn't infinite. I came to the store today with my daughter because I love their merchandise and enjoy looking inside the store. While I wasn't planning on buying anything I did find some Hello Kitty items marked 50% off so I proceeded to load up my cart with a few things. This review is for our experience at check out. First off it's the tone of the voice of this gal that didn't sit right with me. She was rude and not very friendly at all, she didn't even crack a smile as she rang my three items. When I questioned one of the items she rang that read at full price she said they they weren't on sale and that they sold those all the time and wasn't on clearance. Okay, but couldn't you have said that nicely instead of making me look like an idiot. I found it included with the rest of the HK stuff. I asked her nicely to remove it from my purchase. Then she rang up the Hello Kitty cookie jar. As she was covering the item with paper the top came off and fell. I heard it fall on the lower level of the register counter but she didn't check to see if it caused it to chip or crack and didn't even say anything. Ugh! Hello Kitty's head came off! She was also getting upset when my credit card was having issues with the chip on the card. Ugh! Byeeeee! I kept quiet the whole time at check out. I didn't know that my teen was observing the whole thing. Outside, on our way to the car, my daughter mentioned that the girl was not nice and rude. I just said "I know." Maybe this girl was having a rough day, I dunno, but sorry, she just got Yelped. Review #1632

Can you believe they want 159 for one 2 inch chair cushion!!!

I really don't shop at the store anymore because most the stuff they have is useless and prices have gone way up (see picture)... But I do like some of their holiday stuff...Last year got a couple glass pumpkins And wanted to add one more to my collection. I went online because they offer 10% off for curbside pick up. I specifically ordered a orange swirl Pumpkin. Went to pick it up a man brought me a bag and I didn't check it until I got home... It was a solid orange. I already have that one. So I went online and ordered another one in The swirl pattern since I was going to be out of town the next day and wasn't able to get there. Before I left I called the store after they pulled it and they said it was a swirl. Today I went back with the wrong one of course my phone decides to die and charger not working. I go in the store and they give me the new one but this time I opened it up and it's still not the right one so I went to find the right one which was there. The other one because I couldn't bring my receipt up on phone they had me take it home again when they just could give me a credit. The sales person mumbled some thing about how I'm wasting peoples time by ordering online and the manager she was OK but I think she should've offered me a store credit so I don't have to go back for the THIRD time (How did she know I didn't live in Auburn) which I don't plan on going I'll just give it away for a gift. Anyway I rate them probably almost 0 now. They were probably the downfall of bed bath and beyond. Plus one of the reasons I don't really want to go in there anyway it was another manager was very rude to me When I brought my dog in there awhile back.

It's in a fantastic location in Old Town Auburn -- close to parking and other cute shops and good restaurants. It's within 5 minutes of 80. The owners are very knowledgeable, friendly and customer focused. You always get a greeting, an offer of help and great advice on painting projects or gift items fresh from a buying trip. And it's also a Fusion mineral paint distributor with a great selection in-store, plus the option to purchase online. To help you learn how to get the most from your furniture paint purchase, they offer classes in the back of their beautiful store. I took a Painting 101 class with Mary, the owner, and she was a terrific teacher. Here's what I loved: FAIR PRICING: I had been looking for a class and saw them offered at $65 to $95, so her fee of $75 was very competitive. The difference was that I could use the class to paint my own item, if I liked, rather than just try techniques on wood boards, as some do. All supplies were included in the 3-hour class. APPROACHABLE STYLE: Answered questions patiently and thoroughly, demonstrated techniques and tricks, and offered advice while STILL asking your personal project preferences on color, wax use, distress level, etc. She was generous with her time and expertise -- which just makes me want to give her more business. This is exactly the kind of local, small business that you want to see thrive. It's a go-to stop for me -- whether shopping for a gift or doing a painting project.

The staff has always been friendly and ready to help us with any questions we have, and they even have shopping carts at the front of the store! For those who have never been to an antique store before, it's set up into dozens of little square 3-walled rooms. Each one of those sections is usually ran by a vendor who is setting up their own stuff on consignment, and in charge of their own pricing. Because of that, prices are very volatile here. There was a vendor who was selling antiques for only a few dollars because he had so much and just wanted it all gone, while others are selling things for way more than they're worth (I'm looking at you vinyl vendors). I used to appraise records and one common mistake people make is they look up the record and assume the expensive one they see online is the exact same one they have. Only issue is that the value is determined by the pressing and they're looking at a rare one, not the one they have. There was a Star Wars record that goes for $200 online if it was original pressing. In Antique Trove is was being sold for $200, but it wasn't the original pressing and was warped. Nobody is paying for that. So prices can be dirt cheap or insanely overpriced depending on who the vendor is. What I can say about the inventory though is that all these vendors have such different products. Some are only selling vinyl, others had antique guns, furniture, masks, lamps, clothes, etc. It's easy to find something you'll enjoy. It does take a while to be rung up, because they have to manually input everything and record which vendor the items you bought are from, but the staff is friendly while doing it. Just don't expect them ring you up as fast as other retailers. My biggest gripe with antique trove is the back of it. Outside is a big backyard full of products that just feel...neglected. We've found some cool stuff that is covered in webs that are months old. How do I know they're months old? It's because we come here every few months and the same webs are out there. It's always the same exact products out there with the exception of a couple selling or a few more being added, but 99% of the inventory stays the same outside. It feels like a graveyard where those products go to die. I always feel sad walking around out there. On the bright side though, there is a vending machine right next to the door and I always grab myself a snack because I'm starving with how many hours we spend inside. The 3 giants of antique and thrift stores nearby would be Midway Antiques, Antique Trove, and Stardust Vintage Emporium. With Midway having closed a couple years ago, Antique Trove and Stardust are the two I visit the most. I highly recommend checking this place out.

The prices range and you'll be able to find some similar pieces from different sellers at different prices. There's even an outdoor area that has signs, decorations and more. I ended up finding some beanie babies that I used to have as a kid for a good price and went home with three of them. While we were browsing the staff kept offering us baskets to carry the items we found, although some of the spaces were very close quarters and I decided it was easier to carry items instead of using the basket. I told them to cancel the order as I don't plan to do business with them again. It's amazing that a big box store has better service. Since the email address you gave me doesn't work, I'll paste my attempted email here for you and everyone else to read. I went to the store on Melody lane and the person who helped me was very helpful. He said they didn't have the paint I needed but he checked the Harding location and said that they had the paint and he would call the order into them so it would be ready when I went to pick it up. I waited several hours to give them time to mix the paint and when I walked in there was a lady helping a customer, at least two other women in the back area chatting and man standing at a computer. I walked up to the man at the computer and was ignored. I waited several minutes and he finally acknowledged me in a very uncaring way and made no attempt to explain why he ignored me for so long. He looked up the order and said that it wasn't ready. I was so frustrated at being ignored for so long and that the order wasn't ready that I told him to cancel the order. I have bought quite a bit of paint from Home Depot and get far better service there. I went to Sherwin Williams because our contractor used your product on our vacation home so I wanted to get an exact match. I quit using Sherwin Williams in the past due to poor customer service, but I honestly expected that given all the negative feedback you get that you would have resolved this issue. It's hard to imagine how you can be successful with such poor service. Someone in the corporate suite needs to focus on providing better customer service or you will chase away your retail customers that are still willing to do business with you. Scott

That turned out to be completely untrue. When the tensioner was damaged, I brought the saw in for service. When I dropped it off, I was told it would be covered under warranty. However, when I went to pick it up, I was told the exact opposite, that the saw only carries a three‑month warranty because it's considered a professional model. The Stihl tech, Dave, informed me that the employee who originally sold me the saw (and gave me the wrong warranty information) had been fired. When I explained that it was unacceptable to mislead a customer on something as important as a warranty, he showed no concern at all. In fact, he was extremely rude. When I asked, "Can you see why I'd be a little upset?" he replied, "No, I really can't." This wasn't even about the cost, the repair was only about $40. What bothered me was the complete lack of customer service. Dave also told me he wouldn't have covered it anyway, even under warranty, claiming I must have hit a nail or Knott, which makes no sense for a tensioner failure. His explanations didn't line up with how these saws work, and it didn't feel professional. I spent over $2,000 on this saw and expected far better treatment. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and disrespected. Dave should receive customer service training, and the situation should have been escalated instead of turning into an argument. Had I known the true warranty details upfront, I would have purchased a Husqvarna, so they definitely lost my trust. I do want to add that the staff working there are great employee's and have been great to work with with exception to Dave and the Co-Owner. My wife will be leaving her own review regarding her interaction with a co-owner, as I was not part of that call. My advice go to a real small engine repair shop and keep a hardware store to just that, hardware.
