Merel van Dort from The Slaak recommended the Rotterdam Marriott, and even offered to cover the difference in rate. Bonus point #1 to Merel for having done this! I then began working with Demi Vevat at the Rottderdam Marriott, who managed the transition seamlessly. We had a few last minute cancellations, which she also graciously allowed us to cancel. From working with Demi, to checking in, to our overall experience, I have to say the customer service at this hotel is as good as it gets! Everyone went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great! Shout out also to Olaf, who was a gem to work with! The rooms were spacious and clean, the Concierge Lounge had a great breakfast and evening snacks. We had a couple of meetings in there that afforded us a quiet spot to meet. The proximity to the train station is PERFECT, and the ability to walk to many places is easy. I would definitely stay at this property again! Thank you again to both Olaf and Demi!!

De inrichting van het restaurant zag en mooi uit en de banken waren  comfortabel. De radio stond vrij luid en de top 40 hits waren niet bepaald bevorderd voor de sfeer. Nadat het personeel verzocht werd om dit zachter te zetten werd hier vriendelijk op gereageerd en rekening mee gehouden. Het eten zelf was niet geweldig. De zalwrapes hadden stukjes avocado die duidelijk nog niet rijp waren en de sandwish had wat rijker gevuld mogen zijn. De rest van het eten was voldoende, maar niet bijzonder lekker. Het assortiment aan thee was ook vrij karig. Ik zou hier zeker nog een kopje koffie kunnen drinken, maar ik kom er niet terug voor een maaltijd.

If you like New York, stay in Amsterdam, if you like a beautiful, relaxing small town, stay in Delft. Just around the corner from the hotel, is a grocery store, restaurants and the main square. Also a short walk to the train station. Our room was 29, which has 2 windows on the front of the hotel, with a bedroom with a tv, a nice bathroom with a walk-in shower, and another room with a small fridge, a desk, and a single bed. No A/C, but there were 2 small "tower" fans. There is an elevator. Breakfast was the same every morning. Standard European breakfast included boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, croissants, rolls, 3 different cereals, small stroop waffles, fruit cups, toast, coffee, orange juice, milk, etc.....A couple of evening they had some hors d'oeuvres at the check-in desk. After 10pm, you have to use a special code to get in the front entrance. (They give you a card with the code) Very nice stay in a wonderful town. Check out the Thursday market in the square (and flower market on Brabantse Turfmarkt), and the Saturday market which is also on Brabantse Turfmarkt, and has antiques on Hippolytusbuurt and Voldersgracht.

The staff was friendly, helpful and most importantly, bilingual! The room was clean, though sparsely decorated and the bed was comfortable. As a 3-star hotel, some of the typical "free" toiletries you receive in the U.S. were not there and interestingly enough, in Europe, 3-star hotels don't provide wash cloths, only hand towels and bath sheets. As is also typical in northern Europe, there is no air conditioning. There was a fan, however, and it was all we needed so it was fine. The cost of the room included breakfast, which was comprised of various breads, cheeses, charcuterie, fruit, yogurt, warm crepes and the famous Dutch stroopwaffles. We would visit Delft again and we would stay at this hotel again.

No lunch or dinner options but there is a bar, snacks and drinks are a bit overpriced but convenient after being in meetings all day it's nice to just grab something quick. Breakfast is included.

But due to roadwork…read moreconstruction the Weena tram stop is not operational which made the hotel not so conveniently located in between Rotterdam Central tram stop and Stadhuis metro stop. You need to walk some distance to use the public transit. The reception desk is awkwardly located on 1st floor and there's only 1 functioning elevator from ground to 1st floor. And there's no dedicated elevator button to call for the only elevator to reach ground floor. The rotating door was broken and you had to manually push it. The night entrance door next to the rotating door doesn't lock, which is definitely weird. Rooms are decently quiet and you can mostly avoid the street noise from 4th floor and up. Air conditioning was strong and bathroom was spacious. Breakfast options were decent. Even though they have automatic machines available in the breakfast area for coffee and hot water, they closed it off after breakfast and you had to ask the reception staff for hot water.
