Truth is I find it immensely difficult to find professional tradesman in Calgary. Invite someone into your home and you may or may not see an estimate - eventually. If you do and you take the bold step on hiring someone you may not ever see the job finished (or started). It's infuriating! Wow is different. It really is. From start to finish the coordinator and all the employees were polite, punctual and professional. The first job (a deck) was done so well I hired them again for an interior space. Late with my review but just noticed them on yelp. Had them paint my house which apparently included outlets, curtain hangers, window surrounds and my kitchen tap. Complained and owners wife was extremely rude and defensive even though she never witnessed the areas that I wasn't happy with. Chocked it up to a life lesson. Coincidentally,my brother hired them to paint a house, we both didn't know what the other had done had similar experiences with quality and owners defensive wife. I used to work for this company and I wanted to give all future clients or workers a heads up on this company. This is what I have to say below. Positive. Flexible schedule, & Understanding of family commitments. Got paid but doesn't pay the bills. 5 % commission on job sold Average job size is $2000 if your lucky Negatives: Expect very little training on the actual quoting system/ estimating. The owner will email previous clientele giving an extra 15% off but there is no discount as they ask their sales staff just to mark everything up 15% on the cost labour/paint during the quoting process than discount the 15% to make it look like the client are getting a deal.. Same with all CIR reality referrals. Shady Shady Shady Pay was never right usually min $400 net off per month. I believe they are fixing/fixed that issue. Weekly meetings are a joke and a complete waste of time and really should only be held once a month. The owner will ask you to do more and more every week even though it is not in the initial signed job offer contract. Wants you to use a scrip for vm which is stupid and will ask you about every appointment that you have been to. No trust! Car allowance is a joke $300 for gas and insurance for a month No independence must be branded on every appointment but is a double standard as other sales staff aren't branded on appointments except driving company car not clothing. Gave my week notice that I was leaving to go to a different industry and on the very same day the owner changed my email password so i could not see any emails coming in. Thus not being able to respond even follow up previous clients on quotes and possibly close more business for the company on the last week of work. Owner expected me to do exterior estimates when was never taught how to quote it. Makes absolutely no sense. Again Lack of leadership and common sense here from the top. Then have the nerve to ask me to stay on and work part time for night appointments. Ummmm NO Shady shady shady It does have a great concept but unfortunately it will fail in Calgary due to leadership and quality issues & reputation. If I would have known it was going to be like this I would have stayed on EI. On my Final Pay the owner rips me off almost a $1000 dollars net. I have contacted the gov't to this resolved. read more

I really wanted to give a higher review for this company. I originally rated it a 4 star, as they came out to give us a reasonable quote right away, at a time that was convenient for us. The crew worked extremely hard, did a great job and were very courteous. They painted the interior of our entire house in 12 hours. The day after, we brought a concern forward and the franchise owner dismissed it, then avoided our phone calls until we spoke with the head office. Following that, we spoke to the owner, and were promised a specific resolution, part of which was completed the following day and the other part we have had to follow up with him for over 2 weeks, as he hasn't kept his promise. read more

OneDayPaint: Paint $560 Labor$3219 Clean up on top of labor $700 + Painting Baseboards:$4000 Stopped by BenjaminMoore,premium paint $65/gallon,will need 3 so $190; had other contractors stop by n quote ranged from $2100-2300 which included baseboards. All these contractors been in business from 17-26years. Would take up to 3 days VS. 1 day with Wow1day. Basically insanely expensive $2300 VS $8600.Like most folks out there, I can suck it up for two more days and keep $6300. Shop around people. read more

Had them come by to quote a 50 unit condo building. Was going good until a one of the homeowners came out and yelled "becareful, the crew we had in was horrible, had to get them back they made a mess of our place". The guy who came out from this company had the deer in the headlight look as this was said to me. I turned to look at him and said "well, I just got some red flags from that lady" he just laughed. Needless to say...they never came back with a quote for me. Just as well. GLAD THAT LADY CAME OUT LOL. SORRY COMPANY.........no WOW FOR ME!! Better yet it was the wrong king of WOW. read more

Wish I could give zero stars! They came to stain my deck, and they preped it correctly but apparently they DO NOT KNOW WHAT STAIN IS! They painted it with a roller and it was just pealing up and falling off one month later, not follow through on there promise to come back and fix if there are problems. Do NOT let these criminals anywhere near your house or deck! read more

I wish I could do zero star! HORRIBLE company!!! They only did 1 coat of paint, painted my roof from not taping it off, didn't clean up drips down the doors, ruined my brand new granite sink (who washes paint brushes off in a coarse rock sink), they over charged by a lot, and they forgot a few spots. I contacted them and they booked to come fix it all and they no showed and didn't even call. They are extremely rude and have horrible customer service. The customer is treated like garbage and after reading many reviews I assume I'll follow with them Nevins shoeing when they re book. Please don't make the mistake we did and hire someone else. These guys are why news broadcasters have consumer reports against bad companies. read more

Absolutely terrible! These guys were one of the sub-trades used in our home renovation and I have never seen a worse painting job. My 5 year old nephew could have finger painted a better job. One of the highlights included the fact that the painted over screw holes and and slots on a removable railing pretty much painting it shut so we couldn't remove it. They also "forgot" to sand filled holes on a couple of walls and just painted over these instead. These guys are a joke, save your time and money and have a professional take the time and do a complete job. read more

Where to begin,. Mario and his crew were nice enough and the interaction with the painters was good. They took two days instead of the promised 1 but my biggest beef with them happened at the end of the first day when I came home to my empty apartment and noticed that the one thing I left behind (my sunglasses) where missing. After promptly calling the supervisor back regarding the missing glasses he followed up with his crew and found that one of the painters had taken them (by accident). With out pointing fingers or getting upset I just asked that they return the glasses. That night one of the painters dropped them off. Only problem is in the time he had them, till the time they got back to me they were bent and scratched up. Normally I wouldn't care, but being expensive glasses I was pissed and looking for answers. After 2 months of getting the run around and being ignored from everyone locally and on the corporate level I have given up. Next to taking them to small claims court I wont be seeing anything done about my glasses. Bottom line is I'm going to have to shell out a bunch of money to replace my glasses for a half decant paint job that took a day longer then promised. Not worth it and if you can find anyone else in the same price range you might want to go down that road. read more

The paint started to chip and rub off within days. I can't wash my walls because the colours bleed out. The customer service I had included the supervisor screaming at us for showing the errors they made "So I hear you're walking around with a flashlight and telling my guys to fix stuff up". and proceeded to yell at what our expectations should be.
