The food here is really good. You can get hotdog wrapped in croissant. They have jalapeño croissants too. So many different kinds of donuts, wonderful owners and also you can buy orange juice and chocolate milk and Gatorade. The ambience is clean and friendly. read more

I do like my Old Fashion Donuts and this place sure makes some good ones. I stopped by this doughnut shop after a hitting up Flume Trail for some exercise. I have to say, it was a good Old Fashion Donut, with just the right crunch, internal softness, and chocolate frosting. I ate the donut on my ride home and picked up a few others for later, including a croissant. Not good. When I eat a glazed donut, I expect it to be light and fluffy. This place has super dense, heavy donuts. The icing and sprinkles fall off right away too on their sprinkled donuts. There are many better donut shops out there. read more

Oh my goodness!!! The donuts are absolutely amazing. I ordered a white cake, chocolate frosting with coconut and a plain buttermilk. As a bonus the very sweet counter lady gave me 5 glazed donut holes for my order. I sampled a donut hole which was light and airy and perfectly sweet. A super clean bite of no greasy taste or heaviness. DELICIOUS. Since this is a review I will continue on with sampling. Next was the plain buttermilk bar. A lovely light crunch on the outside and a silky light inside with a wonderful taste of buttermilk...again DELICIOUS!!! I am aware at this point I am stuffing my face but for the sake of this review I will force myself to continue on. The white cake donut with chocolate frosting and a sprinkling of coconut was AMAZING AND DELICIOUS as well. Oh boy...let me have a minute. (Light jazz music playing)......Okay folks I'm back. I visited Wow Donuts for the second time today, and on both occasions there was friendly service, and delicious donuts. after having their old fashioned maple donut, I said to myself "That's what a donut should taste like." A dozen donuts here is a bit more than Vons but they are much better quality, you are supporting a local businessman and they are geniunely nice folks. I grew up in the donut business (and have the fat butt to prove it) so I know quality ingredients and freshness. The donuts never leave a greasy taste in your mouth, they are beautiful to look at and taste even better and they even sell crossaints and muffins. The limitus test of any good donut shop is how the basic glazed donuts taste and theirs are pretty darn awesome! Before I walked into the door this place smelled great. I was there very early in the morning so there were no-one trying to figuare out what a donut tastes like. The worker behind the counter was friendly, smiling and pleasant dispite the awful mornng hours. My selection of donuts were fresh, soft and not greasy unlike those other places. What a little gem! After going to Oma's Pumpkin Patch, I decided to pass by here for the doughnuts as a treat. This place is next to the 7-11 and is really clean and smells divine. Bonus: they accept credit cards including AMEX! Yes! Because of this though, the doughnuts are pricier than other places. 95 cents each for the sprinkled strawberry doughnut. But man oh man, so light and fluffy and just the right amount of sugar. Not greasy! Which is amazing because most doughnuts are greasy. Lakeside has a good little place here. I went in here on a whim, holy mackerel! This is a really good donut. I don't know what they put in them but every different kind was just as good. I've lived in Lakeside for over 15 years, and have seen businesses come and go. This place next to 7-11's had been vacant for a while when I saw some guys started cleaning it up recently. Looked like an oriental couple bought the place and opened up a donut shop. It had been open for awhile when I finally made my first purchase there yesterday. I usually get my donuts at 7-11's next door, but that day the 7-11 donuts tasted like cardboard. So I ventured in, met a short stocky oriental man, he introduced himself as "Mark". He was friendly, talkative, and instantly made me feel like a regular customer. I asked for a Maple bar and some donut holes. They were one of the freshest donuts I had ever tasted, soft, fluffy, and moist. You could tell they were just made. I thanked Mark, and told him I will return! read more

They had great selection of donuts, fresh coffee brewing, and smiling friendly customer service. The person I order behind the counter, his name was Mark. Very funny and pleasant person to talk to. Not only was the donuts fresh, coffee nice and hot, but I made a new friend. I haven't seen such great customer service in a long while.
