This station has seen better days. What is on today isn't bad, but is much better than much of the…read moremodern, corporate, Chicago-wasteland radio content. Still multiethnic, which is great. The programs that air at sunrise are all educational, factual, informative, and fun. You learn a lot from Outreach Radio, Infotraxx, Viewpoints, etc. Those programs are repeated late nights on certain days. The music selection should be nostalgic, not the soft-AC BS that is usually played. Can't complain too much. I love the Sunday night Ukrainian and South Asian programming. I also love the Greek programming on Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday afternoon. Authentic Greek music, lots of sponsors, and the hosts are very nice. Italian programming weekday afternoons at 2 PM and Sunday as well at the same time. Variety of beautiful, Italian music, events, announcements, etc. Where else (other than low power 1330 and 1430) can you get a diverse lineup of shows? 1590 is sadly, mostly Hispanic and Assyrian. I hate the cookie-cutter, pornographic, salsa music played during the overnight hours each day. Waste of money and shutting down the original WCGO, near WCFJ's studios in Chicago Heights. WSBC at least cares about their programming and shows. Much of the programming is simulcast over WCFJ 1470 AM.

After a few changes to channels 41-1 and 41-2, the channel they call "Comet" has now settled into…read morethe 41-1 slot. Good for silly old sci-fi movies and series. If they're still butchering their movies with bad cuts, I haven't noticed. My only problem is their signal; my antenna has to be in a very precise position to get any reception at all, and sometimes even that doesn't work. Everyone except me streams or has cable, I suppose, so this review may not matter to many folks, but since I reviewed this broadcast slot once before, and it's now changed, I figured I should update it.

I'm a huge K-pop fanatic [Super Junior in particular]. I wish that more shows like, Star King, We Got Married, Intimate Note, Family Outing, Inkigayo, Mnet, Pops In Seoul etc... begin airing here in Chicago....even if the programs are not from KBS There are tons of dramas that I wish to see as well like Cain and Abel, Cinderella Man, The Sling Shot, My Too Perfect Sons, etc.... Trust me, I know way too many to list here.

My musical tastes changed, but it was hard to believe how they used to beat the hell out of songs and just play them repeatedly. Somebody needs to remind Eddie and Jobo of how old they are. I realize that being in your upper forties and wearing Fubu clothes may seem like you're appealing to your audience, but it's not working real well. In all seriousness, I give them a lot of credit for their staying power, but give me a break.
