Uniqlo is one of my go-to places to buy durable and affordable clothing that's great for any occasion. The branch in Powerplant mall is not huge, but ample in their item stock. It's really convenient for those who are in the Rockwell area. I went here just to check out their sale stuff. Got home some jeans and a skirt for formal wear :3 I even had free altering for my jeans because they make theirs for really tall people :o Check out their social media sites to be updated on their items on sale and other promos! They usually spread out their sales in different branches, so take note when the next sale is near your area. :)

I couldn't leave without at least one thing from that place. During the rare times that I shop for clothes, Cotton On will always be my first choice. So when they opened their store in UP Town Center, I was all "YAY! Nearer branch!" But what I got was more than the jubilation of finding out my favorite store's a few meters away from my place. PROS: This Cotton On branch is a two-floor, sprawling expanse of bright lights and high ceilings filled with pretty clothes for the twenty-something; Their selections have more variety than their SM North branch. They even have a whole section for underwear and lingerie; In a world where clothes only fit for those with perfect curves, I have found my niche in their fit-and-flare dresses. Plus, their name pretty much says it. Cotton On's wares have great fabric quality because it's mainly cotton. Perfect for me who easily itches or sweats; You know the perfect balance of a store attendant who helps you when needed but doesn't hawk on you when you're still browsing? Their staff's like that. CONS: Sales are rarer in this branch, but I don't really mind since they're not that expensive in the first place. TL;DR: This is my favorite branch of my favorite store. Cotton On is one of my happy places.

They have really nice basics - tops, skirts, shirts, etc. Their collection is also really nice, it has something for everyone, whether they are the girly, sporty or artsy type. Their clothes also fit very well, just be careful to follow the washing conditions because some of the items that I have bought fit nicely the first few times I wore them, but gradually, the sides started to droop and the cloth got a bit loose. Their 'ruby' shoes are also super cute! They have nice designs and are usually super comfortable! Overall, Cotton On is a good alternative to the likes of h&m and forever 21.

Among my favorites are my Herschel Survey Backpack, my Eagle Creek messenger bag, and my big Muji messenger. The last one I bought in Tokyo, but the other two I found at Bratpack. They've got a good selection, bags that aren't cheap but aren't too expensive either. Good, imported brands, ones that you can take on rugged outdoor trips (not that I go on many of those) but also make you look cool as heck in a semi-corporate setting such as most advertising agencies. This is usually the go-to place for girlfriends or moms when they need to buy something for their boyfriends or sons. The style of their merchandises is very hip and trendy. This place surely caters to the young. The prices here are not too high compared to the prices found in the US. The different stores from the Gozum sisters really made my heart flutter when they first launched in the Philippines. Of the three brands they have, YRYS was my favorite. Everything there is so stylish and fashion-forward. Before them, finding a short plaid skirt here was next to impossible. They broke boundaries in an ultra-conservative country and revolutionized the way women dressed. And it's not just the clothes that I really love, it's all the little accessories, too! Suspenders, hats, finger gloves, belts and cool jewelry were available for really affordable prices. Even now that I do dress more conservatively for the sake of my daughter, I often find myself still looking through their display window, reminiscing the old days when I was able to fit in those super short skirts that I loved so much. Here's a tip: watch out for sales, especially when it's midnight madness at the mall. They often slash their prices by more than half. They have racks of clothes marked down to P200 and P300.

I'm especially a big fan of their Yhansy line of accessories, which used to have its own stall in Shangri-La I've had to say goodbye to. Their stuff can be a little odd sometimes, which I like, and they're not all that expensive either. Their men's clothes can also be quite interesting, especially the Mundo line, which is always out there, with the prices to match. The shoes can be good though, and are much more affordable. There are a lot more stores in the place for sure, but I guess the problem is the whole area can get a little muddled and confusing, with their home line being hidden in the corner, covered by children's clothing, and all the women's clothes overlapping each other. It's honestly a bit cluttered, which is why they don't get as much traffic as they'd want from what I can tell.

There is a huge variety of styles - from the trendy and edgy, to the girly florals and flowy fabrics, to the classic LBDs and killer heels. The Ramp has it all. I can't help but get lost in the beauty of all these clothes I think I'd never get to pull off; They have shoes, accessories, even some pieces of furniture and décor at their Crossings Home brand. CONS: When you buy clothes from Crossings, you're dressed to kill. And it kills the budget too because their apparels are fairly expensive. It's on the mid- to high-range pricing, which I think is justifiable given the good clothes that they sell. TL;DR: The Ramp Crossings offers stylish pieces and classy accessories for the Manila fashionista.

I mean, damn, some of their products are made from supima cotton. It's some of the best fabrics on the planet.
