It's Friday afternoon and there are no repair shops open on Saturday. We had to return for work on Monday. I thought I was lucky when I called Optimal Vitres D'Autos who promised me that they had the replacement window in stock and would charge me $450 cash. Also, he said the downtown address on Yelp wasn't correct and they are in Laval: (texted address below). We arrive the next morning at 9 AM. But to our chagrin, no one was there to meet us, even though the person on the other end of the phone insisted we not be late. When "Gino" finally arrives, he demands the keys to the car saying " Don't waste my time, I am the doctor and you wait for the doctor. I have the power." When I reminded him he was late, not me, he aggressively yelled again that he was the doctor, and as I was his patient, I wait for him. My husband said,"Dude, relax, let's just move forward." He yelled, "I'm not dude! I'm Gino!!!!" Finally, he took the keys and headed back to the shop. 20 minutes later he came back to tell us that he had the wrong window. He insisted that my husband go to the shop area with him so he could prove that he had the wrong window. He had already taken the door apart before checking if he had the correct part. "Gino" tried to persuade my husband to pay him $100 for the window which was from a different model car. He would then duct tape a piece of cardboard into the 12 inches that the window did not cover. He also stated that the window did not exist in all of Canada. (For a Honda Civic, really?) Clearly, this man has no grasp on reality. We left, went to Canadian Tire, and bought a clear shower curtain and tape and returned to the U.S.

I purchased faux leather seat covers for my car and while I was able to instal on the front seats,…read morethe back seats happen to be more challenging. It involves loosening one or two screws of the backseat and fitting the seat cover there on and tightening back the screws. All car shops I went to turned out negative for installation of seat covers. One would tend to think that most car mechanics should have some knowledge of putting a seat cover on the car seats. Obviously, this is not the case. Finally, one of these auto shops recommended VitroPlus and was fortunate enough that they took me in, on arrival without any reservation. Although they are in automotive glass, luckily for me, they can also do seat covers. One of the mechanics who undertook the task seemed to be experienced enough of having done this kind of job more than once. It took him less than one hour and the job was done, while I was still on site. Service was top notch, fast, efficient and very professional above all.
