We even came on a windy day, and it was still a wonderful place to be. It is so spacious that it's the perfect spot to fly kites. A few of us were flying kites together, and it was such a relaxing, heartwarming experience. It's incredibly family and dog friendly, super roomy, and has so much going on. Because it's so clean and well maintained, this might just become the park I bring my kids to most often, and it is definitely a top choice for hosting future family events! It is perfect for a workout, sports activities, or just letting the kids play. I love the layout, especially how they designed the two separate grass areas where one sits at a lower elevation, while the other is level with the rest of the park. But honestly, what really blew me away was the restroom. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but I'm serious! So many park restrooms are cold, dark, dirty, and lacking privacy. This one felt downright luxurious. It is completely temperature controlled, which was especially nice since it was breezy outside! It was warm, well lit, exceptionally clean, and had absolutely no odor. It even sounded like it had a great ventilation system running. The only minor downside was the lack of toilet seat covers, but that's an easy fix. The entire park feels pretty new with a beautiful, modern design, conveniently located right behind the Sky River Casino. Highly recommend checking it out! Rate: 10/10

I am surprised the city hasn't done anything because there are a lot of holes/tunnels you could sprain your ankle in. Not so much in the direct walking areas, but a lot around the borders of the playground or near corners of the structures. Kinda a lot of trash. Candy wrappers, nerf darts etc. Some swings were missing, and a slide was blocked and locked off. So hopefully they'll be updating the park soon. Still gave it 4 stars because we enjoyed ourselves, big park with lots of huge trees. Just wish they'd clean it up a bit. But I think it's worth checking out.

To start off with, the park itself is circular in shape just like an island. Islands are usually surrounded by water but in this instance the park is surrounded by homes. This park is just a few years old, completed in 2014. The City of Elk Grove & Cosumnes Community Service District jointly coordinated their efforts to design this fabulous park ! The park was built for the whole family to enjoy ! Exercise equipment, 2 separate play area with swings and climbing structures, sand box, shaded structure with multiple picnic areas with BBQ's. The only things that this park lacks in that there are no restrooms and very little shade ! The trees are still very young but in time will provide ample shade. With all the sea life scattered throughout the park this can be a very educational experience for young children as well as for adults.

Not when the kids were younger, and not when we lived kind of closer to here. Seem it just never registered on our radar to come here and enjoy the facilities. In fact, I thought this is an Elk Grove Cosumnes Community Services District maintained park, and it turns out it's a City of Sac Park & Rec park, just goes to show I don't get out enough recreationally, haha. Anyways, so we arrived and went down Jacinto and had to make an U-turn bc the courts were not down that street, so we came back onto Center Parkway as the wife pointed out the covered fence must be where the tennis courts are. I give her props as a good navigator. So we found street parking right next to the courts and joined our friends who got there first. The courts are in pretty good shape except one of the court has some major cracks from settling, it would be good if the City filled them. These are regular tennis courts with Thermoplastic pickleball lines applied in blue over the white lines 2 years ago, according to my buddy. I would say the lines could've been another color like yellow or a lighter color than the blue and they would be more visible for my old eyes, but they are durable. We played as 1 set of doubles and 1 set w/3, boys and girls separate, for a good while and then it got kind of too hot as we were approaching midday. So we had some snacks and water and then we all headed out to go home for lunch. The Rules for this court are clearly posted on the fence entrance door on a metal sign (see pics) and it's open from sunup till 10pm, and lights are allowed from sunset till 10p, although the courts are not lighted, which is probably a good thing so as to discourage people from playing till too late and disturbing the neighborhood. Although the courts are not shaded by any trees, there is plenty of shade right outside the entrance but there's not seating / tables anywhere close by so if you want to chill and have a snack, bring your own picnic blankets or some lawn chairs, no eating/drinking on the courts. We had a good time and this is closer to us and not so crazy busy compared to many of the other parks w/pickleball courts all over Elk Grove and Sac, so we'll be back.

We saw a few people shooting hoops. There were a few families with their toddlers playing on the playground. A few were enjoying the sunshine with a book! It also has a small parking lot. You can enjoy the picnic area as well. It does have a walking pathway. Oh! I didn't check out the restroom, it has one.

Right next to Bartholomew Park, you'll find one of my favorite simple pleasures in the area--a huge…read moreopen grassy space that somehow always feels peaceful even when people are enjoying it. This park isn't about playground structures or a ton of built features. It's really about the space. The grassy field is massive, and on weekends you'll usually see soccer teams practicing, families tossing a ball around, or people spreading out blankets for picnics. One of my favorite things when I'm walking my dogs is just seeing people stretched out in the grass enjoying the park. There's something about that scene that makes the whole neighborhood feel calm and connected. The park also sits right along the lake, which gives you beautiful water views on both sides. Every walk feels a little different depending on the light and the season. I've seen swans gliding across the water more than once, and oddly enough I've even spotted koi fish in there too. I've been walking my dogs here daily since the 90s when we first moved to Laguna West, and it's still something I genuinely look forward to every single day. That says a lot about a park. Small moment I love: the summer sunsets here are incredible. When the sun drops over the lake and the sky starts glowing, it turns an everyday dog walk into something that feels pretty special. Helpful tip: If you're looking for a quiet place to relax, bring a blanket and sit closer to the water's edge. The breeze off the lake makes it one of the most peaceful spots in the neighborhood. Some parks are about activities. This one is about slowing down--and after all these years, it still does that perfectly.

Adj: Small but Sufficient…read more This is a nice little residential park just south of the Costco on Elk Grove Blvd. It's pretty small, but it's never crowded and that maybe the best thing about this neighborhood park. For a quick trip for kids to let off steam or for a short exercise routine, this park fits the bill. Recently, it was fenced off for some updates. Turns out CSD resurfaced the 2 little playgrounds' rubber flooring. I have mixed feelings about the synthetic material used for kids play areas, but they are more cushiony than places with bark or sand playgrounds. Overall, this is a well maintained and comfortable park to take a walk, run laps, walk the dogs or bring the kids to. A little place with a lot to offer. Check it out!

This park isn't as fancy as the others in EG but then it's also usually empty or not busy which is nice. Lots of open space, manicured fields for a soccer or vball games. It's all good. It's very close to the EG Costco too so it's also a nice place to bring some deli ready to eat meals and salads and sandwiches here from Costco for an in impromptu picnic when the weather is nice like it's been lately. All in all, a small but well kept park that's not so popular for some peace and quiet and for kids to let out their energy, quite safe too since it's not big so it's easier to keep an eye on the younguns. One star knocked off for the playstructures being close to the street (the round about) as you can see from one of my pics, one of the structures is right by the street close to the stop sign. I think it would've been better if they play areas are more toward the center if the circular park, just pave some paths so people can walk towards the middle, that would be better for safety for adults and kids alike.
