I'd definitely recommend as a low-key lunch spot. I stopped in for a super early lunch after a boat ride (It was 11:40ish) and was happy to see the dining area was already filling up. Some folks were ordering coffee, and others were skipping to lunch like me. I went with the crab burger and this thing was massive. I swapped regular fries for sweet potato fries for an extra few $$$. The portion size and quality ingredients = definitely worth the price. Once you leave the restaurant, you can walk through to the gift shop. I ended up buying quite a few trinkets for friends and family. But it all comes down to quality. The fish in this place is great and they have a great variety. It's hard to find a shop these days that is family run(for the last 50 years) where the staff remember your name, your children's names and ask who you got on with the week befores purchases. Not only do we leave with great fresh "prime" fish, which is not sold in many fishmongers, but we get some fresh air while walking down the Coal pier, feed the seals with fish supplied by The Quay and have great memories as a family, most children hate going shopping but mine would go crazy if I went here without them!
