They occasionally play newer songs, but with instrumental music. WGCY is a great asset to Gibson City. As our only radio station, they broadcast high school football and basketball games for our local high school (GCMS). WGCY is also our affiliate for CBS Radio News and the Chicago Bears Radio Network. WGLT is Bloomington-Normal's local NPR affiliate. Their main channel (89.1 FM) offers a combination…read moreof music, news, local programs, and national NPR programs. They also offer digital stations. One offers mostly news/talk, and another offers mostly blues. On the main channel, they play jazz on weekdays and blues on the weekends. Their local news team is by far the best in town. The station is very involved in the community and sponsors several music and other events throughout the year.

Are they serious. Ever since this company has been taken over by Connosseur Media and they obviously have a new program manager who is a very poor judge of what the public seeks.
