I've had plans to try one of the BWIT locations for almost a couple of years now, but for some…read morereason it never happened. Fast forward to today! After spending some time on the rooftop of the mall, kiddo and I felt we needed a snack before heading home, so I decided today was the day to find out what the hype is about. ;) We ordered the X-TREME COMBO. Having the choice, we decided on the "Bratwurst". Then the guy at the counter asked me what kind of sauce I wanted and I told him that I wanted the "B+" - but on the side in case it'd be too spicy for Ace. The guy warned me that it'd be several times as spicy as tabasco and looked at me so doubtful that I couldn't help but backpedal. So I went with the "EU-Chili Sauce (which is just a B). For the curry powder I went with the "Jambalaya" (which is a 6). The combo also included fries (which we got with mayo, ketchup and onions) plus a slice of their bread. Looking back, I wish I had stood my ground and ordered the B+. Don't get me wrong - the "EU-Chili" tasted great and actually went great with the fries (which I kept dipping into it) - but it was not very spicy. Even my 6-year old ate it without blinking, so... Next time, I'll definitely start with a B+ and go from there. Anyways... The sausage deserved only three stars. It was OK, but did not blew me away. Probably because it tasted a bit dry - I think it had spent too much time on the grill being kept warm. The fries were great though. Crispy and hot - just the way I like them. I actually tried the bread a few hours later. When we were done that slice of bread was left over, so I wrapped it in a napkin to take it home. I was a bit sceptical since I felt that I smelled a whiff of caraway (which I don't like), but when I put some margarine and gouda cheese on it at home to eat it as an evening snack, it tasted great! Overall, I was pleased with my first visit at the "Worscht" and I will certainly return to try hotter sauces and other curries.

When traveling, I always like to try food that is popular or was invented in a particular city…read more Currywurst is an example of that. Take a German classic, sausage, and put an immigrant spin on it, and you have currywurst. I stopped by Best Worscht in Town for a late lunch. The three of us walked over to this casual restaurant. Service (4/5): Check out the menu inside and order at the counter. From there, your food will be ready in a minute or two. The guy working the counter was helpful in answering our questions about the various options and spice levels. Ambiance (4/5): Casual spot with cool decor and a small patio outside. We sat outside at a picnic-style table. Drinks (4/5): They have a good number of bottled beverages to choose from. I went with a sparking apple juice. Food (3/5): Building your own currywurst is the way to go. You choose your sausage, curry, toppings, and spice level. Given that I can't handle spicy, I went with the lowest level. The curry can get quite spicy if that's up your alley! They slice up your sausage, and then mix in the sauce, toppings, and spices. While I appreciated trying something new, currywurst isn't for me. Too strong of a flavor for my palate. You also get a slice of bread with your order. If you're looking for a heartier meal, they also have fries. You can get a quick meal at Best Worscht in town, at an affordable price. While currywurst isn't for me, give it a try! It's a unique food that I haven't come across in the States.

Whoa! I was…read moregravitating over their currywurst selections of different curry spices as well as how many spicy levels they have on their dashboard! Their F is a killer and one has to sign off on a release paper that the shop is not responsible for just in case one ends up in the E.R. from the ultimate hotness. I already couldn't take the heat with the B+. Good thing I didn't get F, as advised from my friend. I love spicy too. Their wide selections of spice to top the sausage, is awesome! Staff is energetic and charismatic. Best currywurst to date!
