The office told me they did, took my insurance information, including my member ID, and said my coverage had been verified. They also instructed me to fast before my appointment and asked me to gather and email medical records and lab work from multiple specialists. After driving an hour to the office, fasting, completing all of the new patient paperwork--including providing sensitive personal information such as my Social Security number--and submitting the requested medical records, I was told they do not accept my insurance after all. This should have been confirmed before I was ever scheduled. I wasted hours of my time, drove an hour each way, and went through the effort of collecting and sending sensitive medical information for an appointment that never should have been scheduled. I would also like to know why my medical records are being retained when I was never actually seen as a patient. The office later acknowledged the mistake and offered me a $200 Amazon gift card for my time and travel. I provided the email address they requested, but despite following up, I never received it.

In May 2024, after intensive cancer radiation therapy, I had severe back pain and my insurance company, Aetna, recommended several In-network PT clinics, and I chose Excel, a division of IVY rehabilitation. After two helpful sessions in which I paid the required In-network co-pay, there was a kerfuffle about whether the assigned therapist was In or out of network which would have impacted my financial responsibility for the sessions. Thankfully, it appeared that the matter was resolved as In-network, and I moved on. Fast-forward to January 2026 and Ivy rehab reneged on accepting my insurance and invoiced me for several hundred dollars and threatens to ruin my credit rating by moving to collection if I don't pay now, 19 months later. Soul crushing! Even the Excel clinic director petitioned to have this invoice quashed but was denied by Ivy rehabilitation headquarters. Therefore beware, even if Ivy rehab accepts your insurance today, they may crush your soul a year or even two years later. BTW, there is hope. A relative, using the exact same insurance, had a wonderful Soma and Soul experience with JAG rehabilitation. Go figure Soul survivor

I have recovered well from both a knee and shoulder replacement, one following the other in a few months,and had therapy with Kris before and after the procedures. My husband is dealing with a chronic condition requiring therapy over a long period and Kris has provided wonderful support and assistance to him. I cannot say enough about Kris' responsiveness, encouragement, and very calm demeanor. He listens well to all our concerns freely offering helpful suggestions. Marcus, Jordan and John have been very helpful as well seeing to it that we are being cared for. This Twin Boro facility offers an efficient and friendly environment where everyone seems willing to pitch in. The office staff including Anastasia, Jan, Stephanie and Nicole are always friendly and willing to work with us and our changing schedules. There were several times when there were 6-10 patients there with only 1 or 2 physical therapists. The PT assistants were not good. They would approach me and ask "what exercises did you do last time"? Never checking my file or consulting with my "PT". I also thought that the staff had excessive conversations with each other about sports, places to eat and their weekends. I felt like I was at a "frat party" several times. Unprofessional in my opinion. They did not focus on the patients. They were quick to assign several exercises and then leave you to do them never supervising or checking if you were doing the exercises correctly. In addition, loud music was playing every time I was there ...the manager constantly changing it and checking in with the staff to see if they liked it. Really? The last appointment I had was a Friday at 3. There were 7 patients there while a baby shower (or some sort of party) going on during business hours!!!!!! All PT's and assistants were enjoying the party while we were sitting there for over 15 minutes waiting to start out session - SO UNPROFESSIONAL! I shared this with my Ortho Doctor and he said this was the only place he herd "not so good" things about this palce.

Decided to do PT instead of surgery. Somerset Hills was fantastic in getting most of my mobility in place. With scar tissue and another issue now with my shoulder, I have to do something else with my doctor. Not Somerset's fault, just a result of the injury. I will go back after the procedure. I had never had any type of surgery before my hip replacement so to say I was apprehensive heading into therapy would be an understatement. From my first consultation to today, the staff has been incredible. From scheduling appointments to dealing with insurance they took care of everything, so I could focus on rehab. My therapist has been not only incredibly knowledgeable and demanding (challenging me to push myself to regain mobility i had not known for almost a decade) but patient. At 41 with 2 young children I now have a second chance to participate pain free in their lives. I was very fortunate to have a great surgeon, Dr. Harlan Levine. But without Somerset Hills Physical Therapy my outcome would never have reached the level it is today! I strongly recommend Somerset Hills Physical Therapy!
