In this hurried holiday season in which people are rushing to find the coolest gadget, the newest…read moretoys or the most stylish fashions, I wanted to take the time to compliment Kim Chapman-Whitfield. I recently had the good fortune to observe her help an elderly lady check prices in a store during this busy shopping season. Because the items were not clearly marked, the lady was unable to determine the sale prices of items she was interested in buying. Recognizing that the saleslady was serving other customers, Ms. Chapman-Whitfield volunteered to use an app on her cellphone to scan the bar codes to determine sales prices on several products. Although, Ms. Chapman-Whitfield was next in line at the cash register, she took her time to make sure that she helped the lady figure out all of the prices on all the articles about which the lady had questions. I was very impressed by the fact that this local celebrity took the time out of her busy schedule to be kind to a total stranger. In unselfishly helping that total stranger, Kim Chapman-Whitfield truly epitomized all that is good about the Christmas season. Thank you, ma'am!
