Most marble slabs are 9 feet for kitchens but I only needed about 4-5 feet. My only option was buying the entire 9 feet. Luckily, this location had a quartz slab already pre-cut and I was able to purchase it. The quartz is heavier but sturdier than marble. The salesman asked us good questions on our project and gave suggestions on how we can build an island and gave us plenty of alternatives that we didn't think of.

AMD picked up the slabs to do the fabrication. A computer generated slab layout was provided and approved by me. when the tops showed up, one of the smallest tops were installed with a seam which was not part of the approved layout. Secondly one of the slabs was brought out and installed with a crack that they tried to hide it by repairing it. We have made repeated calls to get it corrected. But all we get is lip service. We are turning this over to our Attorney And notifying the Contractors License board. It's really ashamed that they are not a stand up company. Oh yeah, I paid them in full. Big mistake. STAY AWAY! Find a different shop.

It was different with Ammar of Kitchen Cabinet Express, Inc. After a brief introduction and a short discussion of our intentions, he got right to the point, walking with my wife, measuring and making notes and asking questions. What resulted was a reasonable estimate for the work to be done and a plan and drawings that exactly reflected our wishes. The deadline for completion was originally set for the middle of March 2026 but was completed two weeks early. Members of Ammar's team and contractors were professional, conscientious, and hard working. They showed up on time, accomplished what was scheduled for each day. As work progressed, we desired some minor changes which Ammar and his team were very flexible and responsive in accomplishing professionally and quickly. At every point - daily work and especially at the conclusion - the site was cleaned up immaculately and all detritus was hauled away instantly. Also, a great deal of care was taken to mask, cover, and protect the house, furniture, and existing fixtures from the dust and soiling that was occasioned by the remodeling work!
