The store is tastefully decorated & beautifully presented, but the interior is rather rigid & doesn't encourage browsing; a lot of the displays are very intricately put together & I don't always feel comfortable disturbing them. It's certainly not a store that I feel happy taking my young daughter into for fear of certain damage & doom, which is a shame as they do stock some delightful children's products mixing smaller, unusual ranges with popular brand names. The homewares & stationary are always well stocked & presumably carefully chosen, the majority are simple yet tasteful items, & are ideal for casual gifts. Also worth a mention are the pleasing selection gift wraps & cards, these are always different & vastly better than those on the highstreet stores & noramlly very reasonably priced. Generally, a nice store, just needs to relax a little!

I have to mention the owner in this review, she is super duper sweet, and on my few visits, she is very helpful and smiley. This place not only is a lovely shop, but it also holds regular crafty workshops, from crotchet and knitting to dressmaking. These are all reasonably priced and range from beginners level to expertise. They encourage the ladies (and gents) to drink tea, eat cakes and have a natter whilst doing so. I also believe that Bibelots also has something called crafty matters, which are opportunities for people to meet up and socialise whilst making and creating in the beautiful Bibelots environment. This little shop supports the community and does it in style. I really loved the totally locally feel, and I'll be back as soon as I can.

The first thing that caught my eye (and drew me in from my journey up Bold Street) were the beautiful Cable & Cotton fairy lights displayed in the window - these stunning textured, multi coloured, orb fairy lights are just magical and certainly set the scene for the rest of the shop. There is so much to gaze or chuckle at and drool over in Nook & Cranny that I just wouldn't know where to start telling you all about it but other highlights include the bear paw oven mitts, the 'My Cuppa Tea' colour matching guide mug and the Knit Your Own Zoo kit. I was in seventh heaven. Imagine my delight when I discovered that the back of the shop (which used to be storage space) has now been turned into a cosy little cafe called Quills & Coffee. Sadly I couldn't stay to sample any of the beautiful looking cakes but I vowed there and then to visit again as soon as possible. Yet more delight...Nook & Cranny and Quills & Coffee put on occasional film screenings at the back of the store!! This is a fantastic independent biz that I ventured into when in Liverpool a couple of weeks back…read more We actually held an event in the back part of the business and I didn't realise it existed until Liverpool CA Gemma A introduced me to it - but the space is really cavernous and it was great to temporarily see Quills coffee set up in the back. Very very cool cards and gifts throughout, I was especially impressed with the awesome range of band music posters in the back - everything from Queens of the stone age to classic hiphop ones - really worth a look if you're nearby and fancy some colourful artwork to brighten up your walls. Very friendly staff, they hopefully will do well in this prime location in Liverpool.

I have only ever seen a Jacaranda in Southampton so I was made up when I found this one!…read more They are quirky to say the least, but you can find all sorts in a Jacaranda shop - clothes and accessories, body jewellery, wicca stuff, novelty gifts, the list goes on. If you can find one they are well worth a visit.

Inside they stock a wide selection of greeting cards and I found the perfect card for my Dad. They had lots of Father's day cards but also stocked all the regular greetings cards you would ever need. They also stock standard wrapping paper and gift wrapping accessories. I Gita card for £2.25 which is a decent price I thought. At the front of the store they also stock a small selection of gifts such as Yankee candles and some jewellery.
