After paying her, I received no legal documents or proof of work. In the end, I resolved the issue myself with one phone call to the insurance provider, as confirmed by an email from Allstate Insurance on Jan 9, 2026. ​Refusal to Refund: Despite doing zero work, she refused a refund and produced an "interim invoice" after the fact, labeling the $1,000 as a "consultation."
