We've actually used Redfin for the majority of our real estate home transactions. It's a no brainer. You pay 1.5% in commission to sell your home. That goes to the seller's agent. The other % goes to the buyer's agent. Could be between 2.5-3%, your call really. So 4% total to sell your home is waaaayyy less than if you go with a traditional agent. So to keep this review short, my parents tried to sell their home using their sister, a local broker, meaning she owns her own firm about a year ago, when the market was scorching hot! She was gonna charge 0.75% commission and the buyer agent would get 2.5%. 3.25% is not bad, actually really good ONLY if she is able to sell the home. The home was on the market for 6 months+ with no buyers! No offers either!!! What the f**k?? How? Why? No clue why.... So fast forward almost 1 year later and Robert with Redfin comes into the picture...with high hopes and doubt at the same time. He was professional, super awesome with communicating and a wonderful guy. Everything, I mean everything that he promised came to fruition. We got an offer BEFORE the house went on the market that we accepted. Think about that......we got an offer $120k+ over asking price BEFORE the home went public and took it! Is your mind blown yet? Unfortunately that deal fell through for uncontrollable reasons outside of all our hands. That didn't phase Robert, he got another offer quickly after the home was relisted and for the same offer as the first offer and hear this...no contingencies!!! This means once they accepted the offer the deal is essentially done with nothing holding it back..unless their loan doesn't go through, but we get to keep the deposit. A win-win for us. We are happy to report the home was sold higher for what we expected and quicker than expected! We didn't think we were ever going to sell the home with the kind of results we got from our crappy aunt. That means he exceeded all our expectations! You'd be a fool to not drop whoever you have as a seller's agent now and go with Robert. He will exceed your expectations. Can't thank him enough for all his help. Amazing work with stellar results!
