120.Fish Fillet In Sour Pickles Soup

I've lost count of how many times I've been here. This is hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant in Naperville. The food is ALWAYS incredibly delicious, and the service is just as amazing. If you love spicy food and authentic Chinese cuisine, this is an absolute must try!!!!

Pork and chive dumpling

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance - casual, modern, offers booths & large tables[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service - servers were nice and food came out quickly Food - love the Biang Biang noodles (so much flavor), homemade dumpling (skin was chewy & filling was juicy), wish the flatbread had more cumin flavor/seasoning (celery paired really well with the beef)

Listen... I'm bias to Chinese food bc it is not my preference of cuisine...[[HIGHLIGHT]]WOW! I am SHOOK with how excellent I thought the food, atmosphere, and service was at Xi'an Cuisine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Authentic or Americanize? They have em both! A group of 8 of us dined in for a weekend dinner and it was packed! Thankfully 1 of our friends made a reservation (Shout out Sanjay N. from the Chicago burbs Yelp squad for coordinating a great evening!) and we avoided having to wait for a table. Service throughout was consistent. Our server was really friendly and kept up with the hustle and bustle of a crazy busy Saturday night. In total we ordered 8 items and ate family style. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Having a lazy susan in the center of the table was extremely helpful for us vs having to constantly pass dishes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pricing here is reasonable especially given how generous the portions are. My favorites were the Cumin Lamb, Biang Biang Noodles & the Braised Beef Sirloin Hand Stretched Noodles (w/o the soup broth). Everything was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Ugh! This place is IT for me. The noodles?! Out of this world 4294299429430 stars! I'm extremely grateful this place is close to my house as I will definitely be frequent and recommend it to others.

Beef Skewers and Lamb Skewers

It was... okay. My dish was made with itty bits of ginger that I would bite into from time to time. I'm NOT a fan of ginger. But if you are then it's a good dish. I ordered the Seafood Tofu Pot. Shrimp, cuttlefish, scallops, white fish, tofu and veggies. I wish it had more veggies. But the flavor was decent. Served with white rice. My husband got the DanDan Noodles. That was definitely better after adding the spicy chili oil. We shared the beef and lamb skewers. The beef was SALTY but the lamb was pretty good. My experience was fine. The service was good. But would I make the drive to Naperville again for this place? No. There is a lot for parking.

Yummy food :) [[HIGHLIGHT]]My daughter really enjoys coming to this place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food is very authentic in comparison to the takeouts we get from Panda Express.

One of the best Chinese food in Naperville!! We have been regularly eating here since discovering this gem a few months ago!!

Incredible food here! I need to come back and try more dishes! The noodles with hot and sour sauce are delicious, with a mouth numbing vinegar sauce that is absolutely addictive! The hong sue eggplant was delicious. And the chili fish special was so good as well. Goes perfect with a bowl of rice! The service was great! Very attentive wait staff. The restaurant is super clean and well kept!

This is a newly opened chain in Naperville and we tried over last Friday evening. It wasn't that crowded but a reservation would be helpful since we had to wait for 10-15 min to get our table Food wise it's decent I would not recommend this one. I like the china town one better. The service was slow due to crowd. Ambiance wise a very good place Overall I would give 3/5 stars

Orange Chicken Dinner Special A4. Edamame A1. Crab Rangoon

I went recently with my boyfriend and we had an excellent experience! Waitress was extremely helpful and even offered a recommendation for the spicy orange chicken (absolutely delicious!). It certainly elevated our dining experience and I look forward to our next visit! If you're in the area, I certainly recommend this place as they have a great lunch + dinner option combo that offers fried rice, an entree, and a veggie or chicken egg roll. Great food for a great price!

Decent Chinese food and authentic. The chili chicken we ordered was very greasy. Nice portion and quick service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was really busy during the weekend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would love to come back and try more!

The dining room

Am update to my recent review about the "too spicy Vermicelli bowl". Not able or willing to waste food, I politely asked one of the waiters to get me a take-out container. Adding a side of rice to it, I brought it home with me. When I paid the check, I found they had never added the optional Beef that I had requested, and also had not charged me for it. Probably the waiter had simply not heard or understood me. As I mentioned, I was not thrilled with the service that night... but I'm glad I cast no aspersions on anyone. To-nite, at home, I reheated the soup with some sense of dread. I added some chicken to it, having no beef in the house. True to Xi-an's standard, the same soup was EXCELLENT, especially with the rice and chicken to temper the spiciness! This changes my feelings somewhat. The service the other night was lousy. But the food was as good as it has ever been - fresh, HOT (temperature), spicy (my fault for not knowing better), and better than any Chinese cuisine anywhere! I'll be back sooner than I had thought. When i need Biang Biang Noodles and a fantastic Won Ton Soup, I know where to go. That, at least, makes me happy. Bring the "real" Staff back, please?

The food is on point and service is prompt. Ask for the real Chinese menu, not the watered down American-Chinese menu

Food is uneven, some are delicious, some are ok, some are very spicy, even when told not to make it spicy. Dumplings are good.

The Shrimp in the dish was jumbo shrimp which was a nice surprise. Both dishes were only okay due to lack of flavor. They were skimpy in the number of soy and sweet & sour sauce (2 of each). They were nice enough to give us 2 fortune cookies (one cheated me out of a fortune, LOL). NOTE: They have a Chicago location in Chinatown as well.

The eggs rolls had very little inside them, but were pleasant enough fried dough. All of the chicken dishes seem to have a pressed chicken--not sliced or real chicken. Pleasant enough, but kind of strange. The Almond Ding had separate almonds, which was nice and Chick with peadpods appeared to have a little bit of real mushrooms and some real pea pods in it--but they lacked fresh flavor. The sauce is very bland, and kind of like a globby-like texture. There's a lack of any Chinese vegetables. No Bok Choy, no bamboo shoots, very few water chestnuts, no green pepper. Just tons of pressed chicken, and a bland white sauce. My husband's Orange Chicken was supposed to be hot but was not. It was pleasant but same pressed chicken now breaded (much better cover for pressed chicken). Lack of veggies in all the dishes. Would we go back? Probably not. Ended up throwing half of it away. Honestly, Panda Express is probably just as good which is kind of sad.

I do get DoorDash occasionally, and most of the time it is out of convenience. I do have (via a credit card) a free DashPass account, so I take advantage of the lower fees and zero delivery charge whenever I can. It was pouring out, I felt awful for the delivery person. But, I went with Shrimp Toast, the Egg rolls (2 orders), and the Beef Chow Fun (Small). First of all the deal they offered on these items was really great! All in, including tip, the cost of the meal was $31. Eating in a hotel room poses its challenges, but the restaurant packed the food in containers where you could eat from them easily but also it kept the food warmer since it was still in the "to-go" boxes with the metal handle. I love shrimp toast, so whenever I see it on a menu I'm like Pavlov's Dog. I get that, and who doesn't love egg rolls. Since Covid, most Chinese restaurant's pricing has gone aggressively up- so I look for deals like this on DoorDash whenever I can. The delivery driver brought the meal to my door, there's an overhang by the front door and the hotel only has 3 floors...my hotel room was so close to the elevator the driver had issues finding it ha!
