Friendly Service and Fast Turnaround I was having a rough day when the air conditioning decided to stop working in my work truck. I checked yelp to find somewhere really close to where I was to get the problem solved immediately. I stopped in here and was greeted warmly and even though they were a little bit busy they got me squeezed in and got me taken care of for the day. $390 later my air conditioning worked on my truck again and I was on my way feeling much better about the day. The waiting area in the office is very inviting-cool, clean, and comfortable with water and coffee available as well. He informed me that the oil had been dangerously low and it was good that I brought it right away. He also told me that there should not have been any further damage and clearly explained the choices in standard/synthetic oil. I recently bought a pre owned car and needed to inspect it before fully agreeing to keep it. Xpress automotive was recommended to me by a family member and I decided to give them a try. Due to time constraint and having had only one day to test drive the car and inspect it, Wassek was quick to accommodate me and schedule a time in the afternoon the day I contacted them. I arrived a few min early so Wassek asked me to leave the car at the entrance of his garage and enter to the office to relax in the air condition while they finalize working on the previous car. Wassek had told me on the phone that the car would take anywhere from 30-45 min to be inspected which was a pretty reasonable time. After completing the inspection in less than the expected time, I was impressed that Wassek and his team were able to complete the task very quickly and give me a favorable report on my car (just what I wanted to hear!). The only thing that needed to be replaced was the filter which was an easy thing to do a few days later. I am glad I ended up going to Xpress automotive to inspect my car. Their service was excellent and personable and they gave me peace of mind to go ahead with my car purchase. Definitely recommended! read more

We were quoted a price of $255.00 by Chapman Hyundai to replace two filters along with a tire rotation and a throttle body service. Based on the few miles on our new car, the tire rotation and throttle body service didn't need to be done and once again it was a dealership trying to take advantage of its unsuspecting customers. The first time I went to Xpress he did right by me, was fair and honest. Then last week he tried to charge me $190 for an oil change and for installing 6 spark plugs that I provided. I have changed those plugs myself many times, it takes less than ten minutes. We argued about it and he finally came down to $166... for an oil change. Never again. When I left he said he would email my receipt, he never did, guess he was embarrassed to put in writing what he had done. read more

Changed to Xpress about a year ago and haven't looked back. Taken two vehicles in and very satisfied both times. No upselling and honest, reliable service! Correctly diagnosed a possible "transmission leak" as transmission fluid overfill. Two other places, including the one that overfilled, said it was a leak. There's a buzz going around town- Ahwatukee to be exact, that there's a new auto repair center that's fair, honest AND affordable. What a concept, huh? You other shops need to take note. I desperately needed an oil change on a Friday afternoon as I was headed out of town to San Diego the next day. They squeezed me in for a quick oil change although they were jam packed. It was the fastest, cheapest oil change I've ever had. And I'm used to paying $60-$80. What can I say about these guys...just SOLID, SOLID people- great service, friendly and honest. Wassek and his business are bright spots in the Ahwatukee Automotive landscape. I went in to replace my back brakes. I knew the rotors were bad and that my front brakes were still probably good. Mr. Wassek and his professional team provided me an estimate within ten minutes of my arrival. It was clear to me Wassek was an honest individual when he didn't try to include new brakes/rotors for the front in the estimate. Additionally, he didn't try to upsell me on filters, flushes, synthetics, etc. I brought my vehicle in a little before 12:30 and was out the door with new brakes by 2:30 on a Saturday (it could've been 2:00 pm but I fell asleep on the couch). Wassek is obviously a family man with a family business. His integrity and customer centric business model make him a stand out automotive repair shop. Writing this on account of my husband and his Ford truck that had some repairs a month or so ago. What he thought would take a day or two at most ended up taking about a week. Normally this would frustrate most, but in this case it was for the better. The mechanics at Mr wassek's shop tried their best to repair the component but were unable due to a manufacturing issue with the vehicle, long story short it had to be towed to the dealership in Mesa to ensure the repairs were done properly and thoroughly. Mr wassek was honest and up front about each and every detail with the car, price points, labor time, fees etc. He seemed to really care about customers and value their opinions. This is hard to find when you move to a new place and don't know reputable businesses--we turned to yelp for this. Very disappointed with the service received. Took vehicle in due to mis-fire resulting in need of tune-up. Was quoted for tune-up and oil change and the amount was higher than I had expected and ultimately could afford right now, so I declined service at this time. We advised we would pick the car up and his response "Hope you make it home", we live 2 miles from shop. When my wife went to pick up, they offered to split it into two payments which was nice of them, so we agreed for to have them complete the tune up. When the 2nd payment came out, the total was much higher than I expected. The invoice was emailed to me and they had charged for the oil change too, even though we did not authorize and explicably told them to complete Tune up only. When I called, Wassek was very defensive and argued that I had authorized it, then he switched and said it was my wife. Additionally, when an oil change is done, typically you get the little sticker in the window and the "oil life" system check is re-set. Neither of these were done, so really no indication was done. After reviewing the invoice, I noticed I was charged $21.99 per plug and $154.99 for the wire set. Same exact plugs at O'Reilly $7.99 and Wire Set $60.99. Now I understand their is a mark up, but this seemed pretty excessive. So, I called 2 other locations and both places were $100+ less than what I was charged and one of these locations was the dealership. When I questioned Wassek on this his reply was "They are using inferior parts"... So you really think the dealership is using inferior parts? He had no reply. Funny how the sign out front says "We BEAT anyone's price". This is shame on me for not shopping around first. Lastly, do not like it when the owner of a business talks badly about one of their competitors which is right next door. They spent the tIme to show me exactly what was wrong with my car and gave a clear out the door number of what it would cost to get my car on the road again. During the entire service process Wassek would keep me updated on what progress was being made and how long till the car was ready.
