She was so kind and friendly we had a great time as she cut my hair. I asked for a butterfly cut and I believe she did great job. She asked how short I wanted my bang pieces bc if she cut them shorter they wouldn't fit into a ponytail and I VERY much appreciated that because I work out often and wouldn't want them to not go into a ponytail. Her attention to detail and customer service was unmatched. Not to mention she's so reasonably priced. Will definitely be coming back here for my hair cuts!

After living in the Miami area for 5 months, I decided to check out Steven Michael's because of the high ratings and close location to home. Their hours are also awesome as many salons in the area are closed on Sunday. I was able to make an appointment for a cut and balayage between Christmas and New Years without a problem (and I only called about a week in advance). When I called I was connected to Elizabeth, who is a balayage goddess. It was great for talk on the phone about what I was looking for since I was pretty much jumping into the deep end without an in person consultation prior to the cut and color. When I arrived to the salon for my appointment, I was seated right away and Elizabeth got to work. I showed her some pictures and it was clear she knew exactly what I was looking for. I was in and out in about 2 hours, which was awesome (I had previously gone to a salon where this process would take 3 hours even with my short, fine hair). I put my trust in Elizabeth, and I was not disappointed! I went from a dark brunette color to a honey/caramel color in no time. I'm so excited to return!

The owner bluntly told her that she wouldn't do her hair again and that if she wanted to come back to the salon she needed to book with someone else because she was just too much of a pain in the ass.! where do they do that at apparently at hair ego in Cutler Bay!
