The entire crew from the front desk, to the deck, hands to the captain, are all amazing and make you feel safe. The crew here are seriously the BEST. even people that work here always dive with them on their day off that's how great these guys are! The boat is great, freshwater showers, and an upper deck seating area with great views. They even have a fresh water hose on board to rinse your gear off. Other Dive operations in Key West don't allow this. they want you to use their dunk tanks back on shore. Captains corner is also the most popular dive shop in Key West, which I like as a solo diver. It's easy to pair up with a buddy on board. This is important because in the Florida Keys most dive shops do not automatically give you a Dive guide in the water. You have to pay extra for a guide, so make sure you have a buddy! Also because they are more popular shop, they are less likely to cancel on you for having not enough people on board. Captains corner is more dependable with daily trips. My Favorite dive site is the Vandenberg shipwreck. It's an advanced dive 100 feet depth so they make sure only advanced divers with the proper experience can go for everyone's safety. If you aren't advanced, you can get your advanced certification through them, so you can do this Dive!

The dive shop was organized and the process through the morning went smoothly. For a 9AM boat time, we got to the ship just before 8AM. The waiver process, just like the process to register for the dives, was smooth and well rehearsed. Gear issue and transportation to the boat were seamless. All the folks in the shop, on the boat, and diving with us were so friendly, informative, and personable, and most importantly made us feel safe! Disclaimer: I'm a super novice diver so my only goals were to be safe, see some fish, and reinforce the basics of scuba. All three of these goals were achieved with the help of Captain Hooks! Once on the boat, we got all gear issued and did two 45-min reef dives. Wildlife was great, gear was great, and so was our dive master! Truly exactly what I was looking for. Woman-owned and in business for 40 years, the owner is a legendary woman diver on her own right, though Leslie will never tell you that herself. I earned my Divemaster certification with Captain's Corner in 2020 and regard their training as excellent, tailored, and safety oriented. I've dove with other Key West operators, but this is the one most focused on making your experience fun while maintaining high levels of professionalism, expertise, and safety awareness. Plus, I vouch for the quality of their equipment, which I've been renting for 5 years. The mouthpieces are always new, the BCDs well cared for. I personally see the diligence they take in cleaning and caring for their equipment. Not to mention, Key West has some incredible dive sites. On the reef with CC just two days ago, we saw reef sharks, porcupine fish, hogfish, tons of reef fish, and dolphin encounters on the way out and back in to the harbor!

Wow, were we lucky to find Finz when our charter to the Dry Tortugas canceled 5 days before our…read morescheduled excursion! Luckily, Finz had availability - and gratefully, we had Captain Rob and Holly to steer us there! His communication was EXCELLENT with texts in advance to keep me informed and prepared. We took their 37' Park Shark, which comfortably sat us in a cabin with plentiful views. The ride was a bit rougher than a catamaran, but it took us from Key West to the Dry Tortugas where Holly acted as our private tour guide, sharing insights about its history while we enjoyed the migrating birds. Afterwards, we zipped into wet suits that they provided to snorkel around a sunken ship. I'd recommend bringing your own lunch, especially if you have a vegetarian or pescatarian diet, but they kindly provide plenty of snacks and ice water. The crew was professional, friendly and attentive. We arrived at Fort Jefferson before the ferry, and enjoyed a private tour without the crowds. We visited two separate dive/snorkel sites (cool wrecks!) and lunch on the beach. Not cheap, but definitely the best way to visit the island from Key West, short of buying your own boat. Highly, highly recommend this company.

We came in with absolutely zero scuba diving experience, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. We met our instructor, Tommy, at the Hilton Hotel pool, where he walked us through the basics, including hand signals & important safety information. His teaching style was clear, patient, & reassuring, which helped ease my nerves right from the start. Once we got suited up and into the water, Tommy made sure we were completely comfortable with each step before moving forward. He also took extra time afterward to answer all of our questions, which we really appreciated. Later, we met at the dive shop at 12:30 PM, headed down to the dock, & joined our captain, Drew. From there, the adventure truly began. It's honestly hard to put into words just how amazing the entire experience was. Everything was perfect, and I wouldn't change a thing. During our first dive, I had some difficulty clearing my ears, but Tommy stayed right by my side the entire time. He patiently guided me up & down the rope, allowing me to adjust at my own pace until I was comfortable. At one point, I started to feel anxious, as he had taught us, I signaled it, with a bit of panic beginning to set in. Tommy immediately recognized it, calmly reassured me, & helped me regain my confidence. Thanks to his steady guidance, I was able to relax & truly enjoy the rest of the dive. We completed two separate reef dives (each with a tank), & the underwater world was breathtaking. We saw a sea turtle, a stingray, a goliath grouper, lobster, trumpet fish, lionfish, and thousands of other beautiful fish. Tommy did a fantastic job pointing out marine life we would have otherwise missed. Scuba diving is something I've always wanted to try, & thanks to the passion & enthusiasm of both Tommy and Drew, my son & I are now completely hooked. We've already signed up for the open water online course & are excited to continue toward our certification. We felt totally at ease and had a lot of fun. Couldn't wait to get back out so we signed up for a night dive with Southpoint but visibility was too poor for the dive to go out so we rescheduled for the Vandenberg wreck. Honestly, if we hadn't gone out with Dean already we wouldn't have done a 100 foot wreck dive. So glad we did! Never felt unsafe - Southpoint's focus on safety and preparedness was obvious - and we had an experience we'll never forget. Such an iconic dive, not to be missed. Hoping to get back to Key West in the not too distant future and, if we do, we're definitely going diving again with Southpoint.

We ended up using them based in a few recommendations to dive the Vandenberg on a Sunday morning in Key West. They weee very accommodating and the setup process was simple. Waivers were done digitally, so everything was set once we got to the boat. Parking and directions were simple, which says a lot in Key West. Once we boarded, they helped us every step of the way. The dive briefing was thorough, the captain did a great job, and our guide/DM Scott was very effective. We did a two tank dive, so the second dive was a shallow reef. Visibility wasn't great, but we made the most of it and had a fantastic second dive as well. I haven't dive with all of the operators down in KW, but I would have no problem recommending divers to SNUBA. Thanks for the great dive and team!

I reserved a space online for this company's snorkel/dolphin trip the next day. The confirmation…read moreemail was vague, so the morning of the trip I called their reservation line to find out where/when I was to meet them. The man operating the reservation's desk indicated that he could not tell me any information about my trip until 11am. I push him as to why not, as I was trying to plan my day. He said he could not give me any info until the computer generated a report as to who would actually be attending. What?!? The confirmation email specifically said they had put a $30 hold on my credit card, but apparently my space wasn't guaranteed. I told him that I thought the whole thing was ridiculous. Why couldn't he: 1) Tell me if I was on the trip, after all I was calling the reservation's desk; and 2) Tell me where I was to meet them. He then informed me in a snot tone that the process was not ridiculous. I found out at 11am, that I was not booked for the 1pm trip. The customer service at this place is beyond pathetic. Stay away!
