There are items like Po' Boys and Jambalaya from Louisiana, Elk burgers presumably from the north, a curry that's Indonesian, and Korean Style Kangaroo Rump from ... well if you have any sense of geography that's just confusing. Similar to the spread of items on the menu, the presentation of the food also reveals that the owner or the chef isn't quite sure what type of cuisine they're serving. Our quesadilla was served open face as a tortilla with all that should have been between two tortillas lumped on top; I'm not sure what that is but it isn't a quesadilla. The Po' Boy was a shrimp salad served on crostini rather than tucked into a mini loaf of french bread. Neither of those dishes is supposed to be pretty or beautifully arranged. To do so just misses the point. So the food wasn't authentic. How did it taste? Meh. I've experienced better. We ate our meal as if it weren't southwest-inspired and tried to enjoy it as just another meal. The soup was tasty. The quesadilla was Meh. The po' boy had too much sauce. The ribs were tasty but too dry. And I'm told that the burrito wasn't anything to write home about. Lastly, the service was pretty good but there were only three tables of customers in the restaurant. So, bottom line? I've had better but I wouldn't refuse to go if someone else really wanted to go.
