A process server came to my doorstep early last month (August 2019) informing me that I now have an obligation to make good on a debt of $1200.00 that was acquired by me from Brian Harris car sales in Selah; a debt which is now the responsibility of Yakima Adjustment Service on West Lincoln blvd. and is now just North of $1500.00 all of a sudden. This debt came about as a result of a car purchase I made in December of last year; a car which turned into a real lemon shortly after the purchase was made. As a result of its un-driveable condition, I had to give the vehicle back to Brian Harris, since there were just too many mechanical issues to list as of this writing. When I approached Jose' at Yakima Adjustment Service on the same day I received Notice of Service, I became obligated to make good on a promise to pay them $100 for the month of August + $200 a month thereafter. I had no problem with either obligation but did ask if it would be possible to obtain a one page letter of some sort, to remove this action from my credit history report once the final $200 monthly fee payment was made; a letter which would be provided to all 3 credit bureaus. Their best response was simply that its not their policy to provide such a letter and now, as a result of my "unreasonable" request and the fact that I refused to sign their contract for failure to act on their part, we're going to Litigation...!!!! I'm an honorably discharged veteran and a solid member of both my community and my church and THIS is how they treat their Vets and the "good people" of this community...??? Fine, lets litigate, but a 1 page letter removing this action from my credit history, would sure go a long way toward a more positive review of these people, this company and/or of this person, even if I lose in court. It would have been a much easier and more cost effective process also, but far be it for these guys to understand that. *No STARS for this review. read more
