Just one thing which was very puzzling: it turned out to be impossible to order just tap water, this is probably the owner's policy but it is not very nice from him ( or her) to let young waitresses tell customers that they actually cannot have tap water. The food we ordered was copious and quite nice, my wife had the 'Königsberger Klopse' which were delicious and I had the 'Kalbsleber Berliner Art' which I enjoyed a lot. The wine by the glass we had was very tasty. One of the nice casual cozy places in Potsdam to recommend.

The restaurant is owned by a lovely Greek couple, and the menu is primarily Greek traditional, with a good assortment of vegetarian, fish (try whatever is the special), and meat dishes, and a nice selection of mezes (try the telle). Wine is Greek regional and well-priced; ouzo is, of course, complimentary. The dining room is somehow understated but charming, perfect for a date or a pleasant meal with friends. Service is excellent. They don't have a webpage, but they have a Facebook page with the name "Restobar A'lu" that has live music announcements and a menu. If A'lu had a lunch menu (someone correct me if it does!) I would eat there constantly. Then again, would I really want to rush through a meal there? A'lu is a place to be enjoyed, savored at a slower pace.
