Stopped by Yard House on Christmas Eve for some quick bites during happy hour before heading to a Christmas light show, and it was the perfect choice. We joined the waitlist online ahead of time and were seated immediately when we walked in--such a great perk, especially on a busy holiday. We ordered food through the kiosk, and our waiter came by to take our drink orders, which made everything super easy and efficient. I've said it before and I'll say it again: the happy hour menu at Yard House is one of the best for food and apps. The number of half-price appetizer options is honestly dangerous--in the best way. We went a little wild and ordered around 10 (maybe even 12?) dishes for six people. Way too much food... but no regrets. We even had leftovers, and the total was still under $100, which is kind of amazing. The poke nachos are always a standout and a must-order. Overall, Yard House is such a solid happy hour spot--great value, tons of options, and I really appreciate that they have a parking lot. I hate street parking, so that alone is a win for me. Will definitely keep coming back for happy hour.

3.5/5 Yard House is a Darden restaurant so if you have some gift cards to use up, it's an OK place to use them. They are known for their wide selection of draft beer but they do have a good selection of spirits, mocktails and low proof drinks. We got here around 5 on a Friday and it was already quite busy. They offer a happy hour with discounted drinks and appetizers so we got the blackened ahi sashimi, Gardein wings, and I tried the kish and tell cocktail. For a main course I had the lobster garlic noodles with a side of kale and romaine Caesar salad. I liked the flavors of the ahi sashimi but I'd probably pass on the Gardein wings for next time. As a meat alternative it's OK but there are better faux chicken options out there. The kish and tell cocktail is made with kish shine soju, cranberry, lychee purée, and lime juice. I definitely got a buzz from the drink and it had a good balance of sweet and tart flavors. For happy hour this drink and others like it are $2 off. While there was an ample amount of lobster in the noodles, the sauce was way too salty for me. I couldn't eat all of it because of the salt level. The side salad was much more enjoyable. It was a very generous portion and the combination of roasted brussels sprouts, pistachios, raisins, baby tomatoes, and parmesan worked well together. Service was very friendly and our server was helpful at answering any questions we had about the menu.

Corporate won't allow for mobile certified IDs, in today's day and age... a digital world, where you accept Apple Pay..... perhaps you would be interested in considering real IDs moving forward. Very disappointing. Solid pretzel.

Went to Yard House right after the game it was a bit busy but we got a table after about 5 minutes. I love coming here, food is always yummy. It's in a shopping mall so you can go out and shop before or after eating here :) We requested garlic aioli on our burger instead of horseradish aioli due to not liking horseradish and our server made it possible!

We go to Yard House a lot because the menu has something for everyone. We usually eat there before we go to the movies at AMC since it's so close. Our favorites are the Poke Nachos, Shiitake Garlic Noodles, Parmesan Truffle Fries, Turkey Club, Truffle Mushroom Pizza, and the Ahi Tuna Crunchy Salad. All of these are so good!! You can order the Ahi Salad in a lunch portion or dinner size. The lunch size to me is large enough to be a dinner size. They have a good Kids menu, my kids like the Cheeseburger Sliders, Pizza, and Mac and Cheese. They also have the tablets on the table the kids can use to play games, which is great and keeps them entertained. Yard House has a bunch of gluten free options on the menu. They also have a good happy hour from 3-6, half off certain appetizers, half off pizzas, and drink specials. I enjoy sitting on their patio better than inside. The inside for me is very dark and sometimes the hoppy smell from the kegs is very strong. Service is usually good and they have always been accommodating to reservations of larger groups.

A fun Mexican (green/white/red) pair of gorditas with a very small amount of beans and rice, mostly sauce. Was overpriced :(

10/10/2025 Update: Finally got our half yard! Jeez!! I was told they default to a mug you have to specify half yard, though some server girl came to our table by accident trying to give us one with a tag we already had LOL. The burgers were great, and the bill didn't break the bank this time thanks to our tag for $5 half yard (32oz). Too bad we can't use in in November when my mom visits us. Thank you. $25.00/person (including tip) Nice atmosphere though a little loud (was a Friday night) Waitress was courteous, respectful, and attentive Original Review 9/2025: Way too overpriced otherwise would've been 5 stars! They need to bring things down a little. Thank you. $47.50/person (including tip) Nice atmosphere Waiters need to explain deals better (ie the stein deal having a limited period of use)

Lots of choices, great food, plenty of seating. Came here after watching F1 (good movie BTW) for a little bite after loads of & . Chicken tortilla soup was thick(love that) but very salty, good chunks of chicken. Orange chicken is always . Service is good.

Yard House is an excellent option if you aren't sure what exactly you're in the mood to eat - they have a huge variety of options! From poke to burgers to American apps. We walked in on a Friday afternoon and were seated immediately. Ambience was casual, it was busy but not overly loud. Our server was attentive and friendly, and his drop by's were perfectly timed. We paid using the kiosk on the table which made it super easy. I ordered the grilled chicken & avocado sandwich with fries (side of ranch, obviously) and it was delicious. My cousin got the burger lettuce wrapped and said it was so good. Desert Ridge is surrounded by shops and has a ton of parking too which is convenient.

Happy hour is the best here at Yard House! Happy Hour is M-F from 3-6 PM, and includes most appetizers and pizzas at 50% off. We came here for Happy Hour on Memorial Day, and we waited about 15-20 minutes for a booth. Our server was amazing! Her name was Emily M. and she constantly checked up on us and refilled our water. She was so sweet and definitely enhanced our overall experience. Everything we ordered was off of the Happy Hour menu: poke nachos, chicken nachos, boneless wings, fried calamari, carnivore pizza, and truffle mushroom pizza. Everything came out fairly quickly and was so delicious. We always have great experiences at Yard House, it's definitely a great place to go with family or friends. The menu is extensive and there is always something for everyone.

Olive Garden is to the older generations what Yardhouse is to us Millennials. In an age of trendy new spots it's one chain that I'll repeat visiting. It's classic, reliable, and everyone leaves happy. The menu is large enough for anyone to find what they like and it changes enough to keep it fresh. I've never ordered anything that was disappointing and I've always had good service. The locations are also well done as you can always find one at any big entertainment district. This Desert Ridge location has survived when it's neighbor spot has never lasted over the years.

    Jessa K.

Always love the yard house! My parents and I have found it consistently good, no matter what location or state it's in. I love all their gluten free options and I dream about the spinach artichoke dip. I'm so sad they got rid of the location at Scottsdale fashion square but this location is always a nice treat.

    Cider seasonal
    Allison J.

I came here by myself. There was no wait. I was offered a taste of the mango foxtrot and they also brought a taster of the seasonal cider. I loved the seasonal cider more than the mango I originally wanted. The seasonal cider was apple pie and it smelled and tasted like an actual Apple pie. It was really good. The steak was also good. The vegetables could've used more attention. Not enough seasoning or cooked long enough. The steak was med rare and very delicious. It had enough seasoning and the sauce they had was also very good. Mashed potatoes are mashed potatoes and creamy and buttery. The filet was 38 dollars. Do I think the filet was worth 38 dollars? Maybe not that expensive but it was still a very nice meal overall

Ask the Community - Yard House

Do you have a quiet space that could work for a meeting?

Hi. I don't personally think there's a quiet spot in the restaurant to have a meeting. It does depend on the time of day that you're there where the noise level can be nonexistent to very loud.

Do they have a decent wine list?

    Yes

Is the outdoor patio dog friendly?

There 3 locations in the Phoenix area and I do not know if their policy is the same or if all of them have outside dining. You would have to call the location that you would like to visit and call for info.

    Are reservations a good idea?

Evenings any night and weekends for lunch can be pretty busy so if you don't want to wait, yes.

We happened to visit during Lunar New Year and were genuinely surprised and delighted with a beautiful gift bag from Rémy Martin, along with a thoughtfully crafted cocktail highlighting the brand. Such a classy, unexpected touch that immediately set the tone for the evening. Our server, Megan, was an absolute standout--warm, knowledgeable, and perfectly attentive without ever feeling intrusive. She elevated the entire experience. Every dish we ordered hit the mark. The edamame was outstanding, topped with perfectly crispy garlic that was savory and salty without even a hint of bitterness. The smashed cucumber was refreshing, and the green papaya salad was beautifully balanced, featuring a perfectly jammy salted egg that tied everything together. We were thrilled to see that the brown butter crab hand roll is now offered as a sushi roll--still just as indulgent and delicious. The vegetable lo mein was a surprise highlight, deeply flavorful and comforting, and the crab fried rice was packed with large, sweet pieces of crab that felt truly generous. My husband ordered the Sympathizer cocktail, which arrived with a stunning smoked presentation tableside--dramatic, aromatic, and absolutely delicious. From the thoughtful Lunar New Year touches to the exceptional food and service, this meal was memorable from start to finish. The pizza leaned too long in the oven, Forno bread punched hard with salt, and the caprese felt a bit "overproduced," like it was trying to impress instead of just being. Service was excellent! Best moment of the night came after dinner. I asked for a standard Italian digestif, no dice. Swung to a go-to dessert liqueur, also a no. The service was top tier. I wish customer service like this existed everywhere. Hannah was outstanding. She was welcoming, attentive, and helped make our night even more enjoyable. She didn't linger but somehow always knew when to check back on us as soon as we needed something. We're always weary of trying out a new restaurant for the first time but dinner was spectacular. Everything we ordered was so delicious and cooked to delectable perfection. High compliments to the chef! Appetizer: Warm Bread Basket - A must have! The bread was so scrumptious that it doesn't even need the delicious whipped butter. But the butter was so amazing it was hard not to smother every morsel of bread with it. Fantastic appetizer option. Entrees: 1/2lb Dutch Harbor King Crab Legs - Served with perfectly cooked asparagus, potatoes, and the usual side of melted butter. My wife said the butter that the crab is cooked in/served with was so phenomenal that she didn't have the need to dip into the side butter. I chose this restaurant because my wife loves crab legs and these absolutely delivered. The meat was sweet and succulent, and most importantly, they tasted fresh! Filet Mignon (8oz) - Delicious and perfectly seasoned! Exactly cooked how my wife ordered it and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Willow Bend Lamb - I can't rave enough about how exquisite this was. I was worried the chops were going to be too large but the portion size was spot on to my liking. The roasted garlic thyme jus it's served with is rich, savory, and a great compliment to the tender and juicy chop. I would order this again and again. Sides: Parmesan Truffle Fries and Smoked Gouda Tater Tots - It's hard to mess up a potato but somehow Ocean Prime was able to make it even more delicious. The fries had a perfect balance of crisp and tender, and the parmesan truffle flavor was the cherry on top. Wonderful aftertaste and surprisingly pairs well with crab legs. The tots had a perfect crisp exterior and a fluffy inside. The offerings are generous so 1 side would suffice for 2 people. Every bite was scrumptious and a definite recommend for the table. Cocktails: My wife also had the Berries & Bubbles cocktail. Well, it was so yummy that she had 2 of them. I had a sip and although I'm not a vodka fan, I can attest that it was indeed yummy. The dry ice is a nice touch and adds to the beauty and appeal of this drink. The drink is poured at the table (Hannah is clearly a pro at it). It was like a dinner and a show! Dessert: We were offered to choose a dessert on-the-house to celebrate my birthday. We ordered the Warm Butter Cake for the table and a Chocolate Torte to go. Hannah was kind enough to comp both of them for us! The Warm Butter Cake was AMAZING! From the delicious ice cream served on top to the gooey buttery velvety center of the cake with a perfectly crisped edge, it was everything you'd want in a dessert and more. I'm sure it's the star of the dessert menu. I've yet to make it to the torte but I've no doubt I'll be swimming in chocolatey goodness when I do. Lastly, I had flowers delivered to the restaurant to surprise my wife, and I asked if they would please have them set at the table prior to our arrival. They were able to receive the delivery before opening time and were placed perfectly in the middle of our table (booth seating). I'm so grateful for how they accommodated my request and helped me execute a wonderful surprise that gained a beautiful smile from my wife. 10/10 experience. Five stars all across the board. Tryst Cafe was absolutely amazing! Chef Oscar -- the Carnitas tacos were to die for. So flavorful and perfectly cooked! Huge shoutout to our wonderful server Sasha for the Top Notch service, and to owner Lisa for creating such a fantastic spot. Can't wait to come back -- thank you for such a delicious experience! Thank you All for the fun experience. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture. Cost was around sixteen bucks with a nice tip. Well worth the money, 3 nice size tacos, I was so full. No Desert this time. hahaha 5 STARS Kelly Levi

Wifey started with the strawberry salad which was very large and had a wonderful dressing. Easily could have feed two. Went with the lamb entree which was cooked to perfection. Three chops presented on cauliflower mash and mint herbs. Superb choice. I took a step of faith and tried the Wagu beef appetizer. It was terrific. Chunks of beet on short skewers and wrapped with a large basal leaf. The beef itself was exceptionally good. For an entree, I went with the New York strip with a side of asparagus and off the cobb corn elote. The strip was slightly overcooked, I ordered medium and it came well done. Bummer! Asparagus was very grilled and tender. We wrapped up the meal with two pieces of Flan topped with coconut. Delightful ! Restaurant is a little unusual with respect to layout but very functional. Service, by Mel, was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our experience. Bring your wallet. High recommend without any reservations.

Service was good, food took a little while but it was beautiful on the patio so we didn't mind enjoying our time together. Food was okay. The tri tip kabob was a 10/10. Guac was good, their specialty chicken dish was not my favorite and my wife got the chicken tacos which she thought were decent. Overall it was fine, wasn't bad but wasn't worth the price.
