My Sister hired them for her front and back yard. $260.00 per month. They have just thrown salt on her front yard instead of shovelling. Since November 1, when they were first hired, they have not done her snow properly. When she calls them back they wait a few days before returning. She wanted her money back , but instead they gave her a "free January" to make up for poor service. The last time they came, they didn't do the back properly. Spring clean up, pet waste removal, monthly fertilization and weed spray. Used Yardly for 3 years-spring clean up, or fertilization services. Never used winter services. Always great. This year has been beyond a joke. We had to do the pet waste removal ourselves because the postponed on us so many times. Clean up was good as far as the lawn, but when using their edger/weed whacker, they trashed our fence. Took 2 months to have repainted. Verdict is still out on that repair job. Fertilized the wrong yard. It's been ridiculous. Email thread as long as my yard and finally we have just walked away from it. I don't have time for th kind of customer service. This is the second year we have "used" Yardly and it will be our last. I have to agree with other reviews that state the dependability is lacking. Last year we were given a one year window for service, this year they expanded that window to 3 days to account for poor weather, ect. It has currently been TEN days since we were given our three day window and no one has been to our home. We pre-paid for the entire summer and I cannot help but feel that I have been taken advantage of. I requested my lawn to be mowed on a weekly basis. They charged me for the last week of the month, immediately. This was on a Saturday. By Thursday I had not heard from anyone and the month that I had been pro-rated and charged for was over at end of day, Friday. I called them on Thursday morning (after emailing and leaving a message with no response) and was advised that they had to look at my yard because the map I was supposed to colour on their site was overlapping. The yard is fully fenced and the map says your drawing doesn't have to be perfect. And they have my property showing on google maps. At that time there was nothing scheduled for me. I then called propertywerx and was able to book my lawn to be mowed the next day. They won't charge me until the work is done. When I called to cancel, even though they did not have me scheduled, I was charged a 10% service charge to cancel. They obviously need that service charge because people must cancel all the time. read more

I paid a month in advance for a lawn care spring clean up for a total of $303.45. I was booked in for a 3 day window between May 2-4. Yardly did not show up for this window, I contacted them to ask what was going on, and their reply was "conditions on the ground were not optimal for service" which is a lie, the ground was fine and ready to be worked on. They showed up the next day and did a very poor, rush job. As stated in the invoice I paid for, the service was to include: - Power raking - Leaf and debris clean up from turf and hardscapes. - Initial mowing and trimming of grass to 2.5"-3". - Complementary power edging of the front lawn to create crisp lawn edges along the sidewalk. - Flowerbed & rockbed blowout. Most of this was not done, and they only bundled up about 5 bags, half of what is included in the price when there was still plenty of lawn debris on the ground. I contacted Yardly to ask what was going on and they took a week to respond, finally admitting in an email that they did not do the power raking - pretty much the only task that needed to be done on the lawn. I asked for a refund and they forwarded my complaint to their manager at head office in Ontario who said she would get back to me in 24 hours with a way to correct this problem - it's now been over a week and they have not followed up. This is the worst spring-clean up company I have ever hired in Edmonton. Charged almost $400 and stayed less than 45 mins with 2 guys. I have a huge back and front yard. Worst part is they won't call or email me back!! I paid an additional $70 for aeration and it wasn't done. I sent photos and everything. So grossed out with myself that I gave them my credit card info BEFORE the service!! read more

This is our fourth year having Yardly and will be our last. The past three have been great this year however, they have failed every single visit to complete the agreed upon area to remove the snow, left huge patches on the sidewalk and showed up late or not at all. Yardly's service provider did not complete the job. I sent an email with pictures to show them. I was told that in the 13 min from when the provider sent his photo of completed job and my email, I had moved my vehicle. The fact that my photo and the photo the provider supplied Yardly were obviously two different locations on my property, Yardly said I had moved my vehicle. They also provided the two times I had looked at their original email telling me that the providers had been sent out so I had plenty of time to move my vehicle. So their first thought is I'm in the wrong! When did the consumer become an instant liar? They obviously didn't bother to look at my pictures that I sent or they would have realized that their provider had not completed the job and I wasn't lying about it. DO NOT HIRE THEM! I hired them in November for snow removal and for 2 out of the 3 snowfalls, their team never came. The one time they did come, they came about 13 hours after it snowed. They promised notification emails and before/after photos, none of which were provided. When I inquired as to why my snow wasn't removed, they said their contractor just didn't do it. When I asked for a refund they initially declined until I insisted. I wasn't planning on leaving a bad review, and just letting it slide, however, after I cancelled the service mid December, and their customer service team confirmed the cancellation, they still CONTINUED TO BILL ME for January. read more

I have used Yardly snow removal services in the past without using de icing salt option and was reasonably satisfied with the service. Unfortunately in the future they do not provide the option of doing snow removal without the application of rock salt which is dangerous for plants pets and damages concrete. Accordingly I have no choice but to not renew the service. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of flexibility and responsiveness to customer needs. I was prepared to pay full rates for the service- I just did not want salt. Yardley made a mistake in rescinding our snow removal service just this week and promptly tried to make things right. Although I was not happy with the confusion, I do appreciate that they tried to rectify the problem asap and I will continue using them. CAUTION - DO NOT USE! I hired Yardley for my parents snow removal for the 2021-2022 year, based on reviews and speaking with the Yardley representative. Yardley seemed like a company that cared and valued customer service. Sadly, I was mistaken. I think some of the reviewers may have been manipulated by Yardley to ensure positive reviews. Service was questionable throughout the winter, however, my parents wanted to give this company the benefit of the doubt and continued to use their services. Due to carelessness the parging on the side of their home was damaged and I gave Yardley a 1*star review when an email was sent asking for feedback. It was at this time, I received multiple emails from Yardley stating customer service was top priority for them and the matter would be investigated. Later, I received a call from a staff member happily informing me they had completed their investigation and Yardley would pay to have the damaged parging fixed and if I was happy with that solution, could I please update my 1*star rating to something more favorable. This "offer" was made in December and it was agreed at that time, work was to be done in May/June 2022 as we waited for more agreeable weather. I sent an email recapping our conversation, however, no reply was given. Warning bells should have gone off but I was hopeful that Yardley was a reputable and honest company that I could trust...I guess I was the fool. Long story short, Yardley did not follow thru and has now completely ignored all communications. Please do not let Yardley's hollow sincerity lure you into using their services. read more

We have been using Yardly this past winter and are very happy with the service we have received. We did not have to sign a seasonal or monthly contract and gave them our schedule so if it snowed while we were away they would know when their services were required. We only pay for each individual service they perform and we have saved so much money this past winter! We even have special ice melt that we prefer to use that is safer for the environment, animals and aggregate that we leave out for them and they have no problem using it if conditions call of it. They also took extra care while removing snow and ice from our aggregate driveway and walking path. They have never once missed a snow removal job even in horrible weather conditions and have always maintained they will be on property to clear snow within 24 hours of snowfall. Easy to get a hold of and they communicate if there may be any delays related to poor driving conditions due to nasty weather. We highly recommend Yardly to anyone who needs a professional, low cost, easy solution for snow removal. We will absolutely be using Yardly next season! read more

We hired Yardly in Markham to do our lawn mowing. It was HELL. They give you a 12 hour window, come when they want since you have pre paid them, do a horrible job and and sometimes dont even come on the scheduled date . Stay away from them. read more

Could negative stars be awarded? Stay away from Yardly. They are very good at taking your money but do not deliver on their promised service. We waited over 72 hours for our snow to be removed. They showed up at 8:15pm, used only a power sweeper on all the tramped on snow that had now melted into ice and didn't even do all the contracted sidewalks. Sprinkled a handful of ice melt which they ripped open the bag and left open to the elements. Never showed up when the next snowfall happened. I cancelled our contract via email, since they do not answer their phone, nor respond to emails. When I finally was able to reach them, I got pass around and then was told they were going off shift and would get their finance department to call me the next day. Yup ... you guessed it, I haven't heard from them at all and now are dealing with my credit card company to get a disputed claim to get my money back. read more

Completely unreliable. They say it will be 24 hours to remove snow, yet it often takes days. Seriously - DAYS! I'm not talking about a crazy amount of snow either. Is 2-3 cm a crazy amount?! If you contact them and ask them to come out sooner, they respond that your contractor is on a route and can't deviate from it. Or they don't respond at all. Or they tell you someone is on their way and the next day, you are still waiting. As someone who needs the path and driveway clear for personal reasons, I simply can't count on them. They are clearly taking on more jobs than they have contractors to fill them. read more
