I was coming down Cedar Crest Blvd and had a green light at the intersection. The driver pulled out in front of me and apparently thought I was in the wrong as he brake checked me and drove slower than the speed limit. He proceeded to yell obscenities at me as he turned left towards the Emmaus High School. I did call and report him to the company but they do not have and truck numbers on their vehicles to reference. I sure hope they do a better job vetting drivers and hiring more professional individuals.

He did come out and found a burst line in her baseboard. He told her he would be back the next day to fix it and get her running. He never showed back up. So my mom called the office and the secretary told her "all your lines are busted and you can't afford this". "Our policy is to replace all your water lines". My mother called me crying with no heat, and no help. I phoned my guy and he did an emergency call for her. He capped off the burst baseboard, refilled the boiler, checked for any more breaks, and got her up and running. Such a disappointment and disgrace to run a business like this. Maybe your techs and your secretary shouldn't tell people what they can or cannot afford before the job is finished. I'm gonna be sure not to recommend this company to anyone. If I could give you negative stars i would.

First off, I appreciate Kaith's installing a new propane furnace in very cold weather within two…read moreweeks of our old oil furnace dying. The new furnace seems to be working great and is energy-efficient. However, there were several issues that I tried to address via phone calls and messages, and they refuse to call me back. First off, when the technician confirmed that our old furnace wasn't economically feasible to repair, we asked many detailed questions about the new furnace, its installation, removing the old furnace, etc. I asked about removing the oil tanks which were approximately half-full, and what would happen to the oil within. He said they pumped it out and while he could not guarantee it, they typically could find someone to use it and would credit me at the amount of about half the going rate per gallon. When it was time to remove the oil tanks, they pumped out approximately 300 gallons of oil, and I overhead their conversation about taking it to someone and not to waste it, so I know it was used. We did not receive a credit for it on our final bill (which we paid in full), and they have ignored multiple phone calls and detailed messages from me about this matter. So someone got 300 gallons of oil on our dime, and they have taken zero steps to address this with me. Second, they removed the pipes on the outside of the house where the oil was pumped in, but then did not concrete over them like they told me they did. I specifically asked about this after seeing the concrete over the holes where the pipes were in the basement, and they guy indicated that it was done. Well, it was not done at all (see photo). Third, I found multiple cigarette butts all over my lawn. Aside from being rude and unprofessional, I have dogs running around that could eat them and become ill. How about you just pick up your trash and not litter the customer's lawn? So while I'm pleased with the new propane furnace, I'm not pleased with their customer service at all. If you choose to deal with Kaith's, I strongly recommend that you get everything in writing before you begin the project.

My mom drove 20 mins to meet us there as well. They did not show up. I called and they claimed I didn't have an appointment booked. I recited the info from my call logs. The lady said I talked to her boss, the man who does the estimates, which is what we booked for. She called him and he claimed to have never spoken to me. No apology, no attempt to make it right. This company has incompetent scheduling (read other reviews around the web). If you value your time, I'd recommend not bothering with them. Who cares if they do good work if they don't even bother showing up.

The tech came out and let me know it was a valve that was needed and that it would take a couple of days to order and get back for repair. The guy came back and replaced the valve, I paid for the diagnosis and repair, but the furnace was not fixed, over $500 paid. The next day, the tech lets me know he fried the controller so I will need a new furnace. I said ok, let me know how much it would be can you give me estimates. He let me know that Laurel will possibly deduct the work put into the new install, I said great, that sounds good. As he was talking to me, he let me know he tried a few things more things the day prior and that he made the problem worse, so I need to pay him over $800 additional. My blood started to boil, let me get this straight, you quoted me and I paid over $500 dollars so far, and because you had some time on your hands decided to try a few more things that made things worse and now you want an additional $800 and its still not fixed? Over $1300 total and its not fixed. Shyster company, as I talked to them about my issue on their business practices, so they shut me down, I didn't give them my email so they told me they would (go through other means to get their money) they wanted to keep on explaining to me all the work they did that evening, the work that they didn't get approval to do those things and didn't fix in the end. They wanted to tell me it was my fault for having an old furnace. Is this the kind of company you want in your property? UPDATE: ---------------------------------------------------------------- I called another HVAC company to install a new furnace because of my "fried" "toasted" furnace. Talking to the guy, I let him know the furnace might need to be replaced, but if he could salvage it then that would be awesome. I asked that if he couldn't get it working again, then if he would deduct the payment for the work into it while checking it out and start the install immediately. He let me know he would check it out the next day, but start the install work the next day after that if it was messed up. I called him a couple of days later to get an update and he let me know that he stopped by yesterday and fixed it with no issues. I let him know about my situation, he laughed and said, no your furnace is all good, yes older but lots of life still in it. I asked for the bill, and he responded there wasn't much to it the other company was just ..... and no, that wasn't a special order valve, it was told it is common and standard.

Cannot attest to their work because they never responded back to us with their bid. They sent a man…read moreout to see the project, but we never heard from him again.

They arrived as indicated and looked at the oil furnace and ended saying that I had a "blown" motor. They'd be back after getting one from Ace Hardware. Got everything working again, which was good. When I got the bill ($700), I was more than surprised at the expense. Later, I checked the Ace Hardware website (and at the store ) which said the motor (Beckett 21805) was listed at $124.99 (Home Depot has it for @$87). I was willing to pay more for the emergency call but to get almost a 300% markup on the motor ($125 marked up to $350) and an oil filter (marked up to $100) is GOUGING. Normal industry rate is 50% markup. So, the long and short of it is: BUYER BEWARE when it comes to M&T Mechanical. You will DEFINITELY pay more than fair market and more likely be scammed by a company that's more interested in a big payoff that will cost consumers. Again, BUYER BEWARE when it comes to M&T Mechanical--it will work but will leave a hole in your pocket and bad taste in your mouth. If desperate for service, call elsewhere.

Needless to say, he was out! Steve showed up and explained everything in detail. I was impressed by his knowledge. We also needed a plumber with a crew, because of the amount of damage. All of his workers (mainly family) were awesome. A special thank you to John and Joseph, (they were our main workers). They completed everything in a timely, and professional manor.
