I was fast-walking in the dark in our apartment parking lot and evidently decided to start a football game by kicking a concrete parking stop as hard as I could and thus breaking my left big toe nail completely across at the cuticle. When going to the front desk there seemed to be a miscommunication issue to which we had to get the doctor to resolve the issue. Sadly Dr. Patel is moving and leaving the practice so I'm not sure who I will see at the practice in the future. read more

I had called 5 times in a week to get my pathology report on my toe. They kept on telling me that they will send it to me via email. After my 5th call I said I am not going to hung up until I see the email with my report. I stayed on the phone for 30 minutes and finally got the report. I am 81 yo patient in need for medical help. X-Rays were taken to help locate the piece of glass, then Dr. Patel removed what was a surprisingly large piece of glass. Very little pain. Excellent bedside manner. Dr. Yeargain misdiagnosed me and placed an insert in my shoes that aggravated my injury. He then prescribed steroids I didn't need and that he knew I had serious side effects from. He also continued to recommend using the insert after being informed it was aggravating my injury. Details below: I was diagnosed with a toe sprain ~2.5 months ago. Since then, I've complied with all recommendations but still have similar symptoms. After I described my symptoms at a follow up appointment after the prescribed rest time (supposed to have been 4-6 weeks), Dr. Yeargain's reaction was to ask "What do you want to do about it." I actually had to tell him that my goal is to not be in pain. After that, he prescribed steroids even though I told him I had serious adverse side effects from steroids. He also said he can't rule out an unhealed sprain but didn't order imaging and refused to explain why. The podiatrist I ended up seeing a day later took x-rays and diagnosed me with an entirely different (but very common) injury and confirmed my suspicion that the insert Dr. Yeargain placed was aggravating my injury. Dr. Yeargain's front desk is very helpful, but my experience with him was a complete miss. I sent this review to his office for written comments, especially if I've mischaracterized anything, but I haven't received any written feedback after a week. read more

After spending over 1000 dollars on X-rays, MRIs and doctor visits Dr. Aygen advised me that he would call me after consulting with oncology for growth on my foot. I waited over two weeks for that call. It never came. I called his office over 3 times to get answers. I was always promised a call back but it never happened!! I went to Dr. Yeargain for painful mid foot arthritis. His nurse was rude and not friendly. Dr. Yeargain's ONLY answer for my arthritis pain was to give me steroid shots. When I told him that I didn't want to do steroid injections because of other health reasons. He acted irritated and dismissive and then left the room without any other options. Dr Agyen is great. Overall ratings for the business, not so much. Apparently I was left owing a whopping $50 after a visit, so the practice decided that the $50 was more important than my well being. Of course, I didn't know or find out until a collection company called me, over 50 dollars....? No phone calls, no follow-up, just ... nothing. While I think the Dr. is great at what he does, I would like a doctor's office that actually cares about their clients. The office staff is not responsive. Good luck getting orthotics ordered through them. It took months of me having to call them and my insurance company to finally get them. Also, I tried giving them a second chance and have had the same experience so far in lack of response. It is like an act of congress to get their office to file a claim for orthotics. The first encounter began with my teen-aged son for an ingrown toenail. We met with Dr. Agyen whose bedside manner was perfectly suited for a nervous teenager. I can't overstate the professionalism of Dr. Yeargain and his staff at Yeargain Foot and Ankle. The facility is ultra clean and all health protocols are followed completely. When I went in for my appointment, I had been experiencing severe foot pain for about three months. I was certain that I had two bunions ad would need surgery. Dr. Yeargain put me at ease immediately and assured my that the problem was easily solvable. He shaved the hard places on my feet that were giving me the pain and applied and gave me a prescription for medication. He also shared with me how my higher arch might be giving me some issues. He then modified some insole supports for my shoes and I walked out completely out of pain. I will tell you that I have always been self-conscious about my feet, but Dr. Yeargain and his staff all made me feel completely at ease. I will have a return appointment in about two weeks at which time Dr. Yeargain will put me on a regimen to address toe nail fungus. I was very nervous about going to a podiatrist for the first time and did a lot a research. Following recommendations from Dr Camille Bradley & Dr Nina Fegahli and tons of + social media input, I scheduled with Dr Yeargin. I got too scared just thinking about going to my first appointment and ended up rescheduling for work instead. Well, I am glad I didn't chicken out today. I stepped into a friendly, professional healthcare office where I was taken great care of by Amber. She was everything you wish for when you go to a doctor's office...kind, organized, knowledgeable, on time, smart. Within a few minutes, Dr Yeargin's assistant Luz escorted me back to the exam room like I was someone she was excited to be of service to me. She was asked detailed questions and got things ready for the doc all while displaying a warm personality. As a fearful patient, the first two staff members had shown me that this was a well run practice that also had time to care. My anxiety level was much less by the time Dr Yeargin came in with his bright smile and oozing of confidence. He listened and reassured every fear. The doctor had a clear action plan. The good folks at Dr. Yeargain's office fit me in to his tight schedule after I suffered through an ingrown nail over the weekend. My nail was discolored and inflamed, so I figured why risk it and decided to have a professional take a look. Dr. Yeargain assessed the situation, gave me my options, and I decided to have it taken care of that day. The procedure was pain-free thanks to anesthetic and Dr. Yeargain's steady hand and after a day of healing it is already feeling better than before. His office location was convenient - across from Baylor Medical Center in the same building as LabCorp. Really couldn't ask for more from an experience at a doctor's office, especially one where the doc performed minor surgery on the spot. We all know when there is a problem with your feet everything around you stops. First I broke my foot but Dr. Yeargain got me fit into his schedule right away and had me do monthly visits to make sure the bone grew back correctly. Happy to report it did. Over the past weekend I noticed around my big toe was swollen and hurt a little to walk on. Monday morning I called them and they were able to get me in right away.
