The people who were putting on the event were nice and knowledgeable. There were a few hiccups with the checkin process, but those were resolved in a friendly manner. Not all the drinks were to my taste, but that's to be expected, it's impossible to make four drinks that will please everyone. I very much enjoyed the TFA presentation on the various buildings around Tulsa- probably my favorite part of the experience. Love ramen and love this event. JINYA is hands down my favorite ramen in Tulsa. No other ramen places in Tulsa even come close to the quality of JINYA. The tonkotsu black is JINYA signature ramen dish and is my go to ramen bowl. I can probably eat this dish every single day. Their appetizers are a surprise for me today, especially the chicken wings which are awesomely delicious. The dumplings and fried Brussel sprouts are good. My least favorite of the appetizers is the octopus balls, too mushy. The caramel kiss drink is really sweet, one of the easiest drinks. Most of the drinks at JINYA are weak in alcohol which could be good or bad...depending on the consumer I guess. read more

Love this place so much! This was my 3rd time but it's been several years and I was happy to see the new updates with the outdoor seating. Everything was very tasty and just hit the spot. What a great event! Can't wait to bring our adult kids back and sip drinks on the patio and slurp up some of the tasty Ramen. The 2 things that surprised me the most were the Takoyaki - Octopus Hush Puppies, they were melt in your mouth, and oh so good. Next, was the Soy Glazed Chicken Wings. The Chicken wings texture looked like it might have a thicker coating but then it was light and almost flaky our table devoured them! I HIGHLY recommend the caramel kiss cocktail, it's delicious. Then, we had a saki toast in true Yelp fashion with our own little Yelp branded Saki cups. I'll say it again, this event was incredible. Jahaziel outdid herself and we were thrilled to meet her husband and toast to their anniversary. My Hubby had the Chef's Special - Kara-Men Ramen and he said it was spicy and filling with a complex flavor profile and I went for the Spicy Chicken Ramen which is a basic ramen that has an almost creamy texture to the base with lots of veggies and some sliced chicken. The serving size is nice and large so we had leftovers which is always a bonus. Jinya's owner, Dave was there and spoke a bit and mingled with us answering questions and explaining more about the food. I was impressed with how long they cook their bone broth and how much time and effort goes into the food. You can definitely taste the quality! DJing this event was a great experience due to me usually being on the other side, at a table with a group of Elite Members & future Elite Members. Eric & Candace held it down while David was double checking to make sure everything was good. S/O to Eric, he had a baby on the way while he was helping us out! I started with the Caramel Kiss & since I don't do well with vodka, Candace offered rum instead & it was a great move (I'll order it like that from now on). Great drink, the right amount of sweetness. The Brussel Sprouts Tempura were good & didn't need sauce. Ended everything with the Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen. I switched it up because I usually don't go the creamy route when it comes to noodles. Plenty of tofu, lots of greens. I enjoyed DJing, the request I got, the support of my merch, the food, the people... & most definitely that shot of Sake. Looking forward to the next event!! read more

The Weather could not have been any nicer for my first adventure at Jinya. A wonderful outside seating area was the first thing I saw as we approached the restaurant. We were immediately greeted by some of the staff and found seats. A few moments later our very friendly server explained the menu choices and took our drink order. A variety of appetizers were whisked to our table. My favorites were the chicken wings with a light crunchy coating and the pork gyoza. For the entree I selected the Spicy Chicken Ramen medium heat. It was delicious but was on the mild side of spicy. Based on that experience I would not hesitate to order it hot next visit. I took a moment to walk inside the restaurant and was really impressed with how attractive it was inside. I was shocked to learn that the restaurant opened 7 years ago. How did I not know about this place? Now that I do know, I can't wait to visit again. The service and food was exceptional. Meeting the owner was wonderful and I look forward to a return visit. Great event and perfect weather! I highly recommend the parklet or sidewalk seating. Service was amazing and the special cocktail, Caramel Kiss, was excellent. It would make a great hot cocktail as well (caramel vodka, apple cider, and a spiced apple slice). The appetizers were plentiful and just kept coming. My favorite was the Octopus Hushpuppies. Next on the fave list was the gyoza and then the Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were fried perfectly and were great dipped in the gyoza sauce. I tried the spicy chicken ramen and ordered the mild version. I did have to add more chili sauce. I would order this again but I wouldn't be afraid to order the "spicy hot." Daaaaaaaang!!! This event was straight fire !!!!!! It's always cool to get some Yelp! Swag and photos, all apart of the experience, but tonight we were treated oh so well by our host and owner of Jinya, David S.!!!! He and his team did a great job at supplying us with a Gargantuant amount of delectable food!! Our meal started with a Caramel Kiss, a season mixed drink. We then had a consortium of wonderful appetizers, and a couple of highlights were the Takoyaki Octopus Hush Puppies and the Chef's Special Soy Glazed Chicken Wings!!! Zomg both of these left me with that eye quiver a from when the taste buds are hit on an emotional level. Entrees came out next and we were delighted with 4 to choose from. My table opted to get a couple different ones, the Tontaksu Black (pork) and a vegan option, Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen!!!! Both were equally delicious but brought different flavor profiles to the table. I'd not tried any vegan options here, and it was great!!! Great service, outdoor seating was a hit! Fall time coming it's perfect. The appetizers weee tasty but the wings were my favorite. Brussel sprouts could use a lil more season/flavor but had a nice crunchy. The pork Ramon was filling and large portion, thick hearty broth and nice boiled egg as well. The noodles are delish and nice thick but not too thick. Will definitely return with the family to enjoy some more. The caramel kiss was nice chilled caramel vodka with apple cider. First time being here and it was absolutely amazing and such a fantastic bunch of people! We tried all appetizers but the octopus and all were delicious! The owner said he might make the soy glaze wings a regular thing and I definitely think he should! My favorites were the Brussel sprouts they had the right amount of crunchiness and I like mine personally steamed my husbands very picky with his and he loved them and I thoroughly loved the gyoza great flavor. The caramel kiss cocktail tasted delicious I was surprised at how balanced it was. My husband Neil and I both got the chef special-kara-men ramen, broth was rich and flavorful with a little kick at the end and the egg adds to the richness it went well with the sake and loved the type of noodles they use I just wish there was a little more bean sprouts but that's a personal preference. 10/10 would definitely come back; thank you for the amazing food!! We had a blast tonight at Jinya! It was fun to revisit this place as it's been awhile. I had to order the Tonkatsu Ramen and the broth was unctuous and satisfying while the egg adds that bit of creaminess. The surprise and delight was the chicken wings. Words can't do these justice! I don't know how they get that delicate crisp; they are perfection. Brussels sprouts were great when I dipped them in the ponzu sauce. Last but not least, the service was over the top, each person was a restaurnnteers dream! So friendly, professional, efficient. So happy we got to attend. What a wonderful Yelp Elite experience! When it comes to Ramen, JINYA really lives up to the hype. The appetizers are well made, our favorites among favorites are the fried Brussels sprout and Pork gyoza. Great seasoned and fresh. In terms of ramen, as a garlic lover, Tonkotsu black reigns supreme in my book. It's just not your typical ramen. That soup base is awesome. The little Yelp branded sake cup and chopstick are a pleasant surprise! Sure make us feel special. While we get to know our fellow Yelpers, Gary's DJ skills really take the vibe up a notch. I wish JINYA would consider getting a playlist from Gary and use it as their regular playlist. It's a lot more chill and easier to have conversations while we eat. What a great time! read more

I have been wanting to try Jinya for awhile, so when the Yelp event came up, I literally set an alarm to wake up and sign up to go! Boy, am I so thankful that I did. What a great meal! What a great event! We started with the caramel kiss drink- apple cider with caramel vodka and a thin slice of apple with cinnamon. Oh, my word! What a delicious drink! Sweet and flavorful! Then we shared 4 appetizers: pork gyoza- fried dumplings (yummy), brussel sprouts tempura (my favorite), takoyaki-octopus hush puppies (great!), and chef's special- soy glazed chicken wings (excellent). Then, I had the spicy chicken ramen. I got it hot, and added the chili sauce, seasoning sauce, and gyoza sauce that they leave on the table. The broth was outstanding! I also tried the Jinya Tonkotsu black that my husband ordered, as well as the vegan ramen my sister-in-law ordered. All were so good. The noodles in the vegan ramen were thicker, and I really liked that. We also had a shot of sake which was also good. Our servers were friendly and attentive- very helpful with our questions. Wow, what a wonderful evening on the patio with perfect weather, some fresh jams from DJ Noname, and some fantastic food! This was my first trip ever to a Ramem bar, and I was not disappointed at all. I started the evening with evening choosing the perfect fall cocktail, the Caramel Kiss. This was so smooth and tasty I could have ordered a carafe. For the shared plates, I tried all 4, starting with the pork gyoza. I love gyoz, so this was definitely at the top of my favorites as well as chef perfectly crisp Chef's Special the Soy Glazed wings. Tempura Brussel sprouts was an item I had never seen before, and these were crispy and delicious. The Takoyaki was a beautiful presentation and had a creamyish center with slightly firmer meaty bites of octopus. Being my first time at a Ramen bar, I played it safe and tried the Spicy Chicken Ramen, and it was definitely slurp worthy! It was great to speak with Dave, the owner, and also the Regional Gentleman (didn't catch his name) about how the foods were prepared and possible expansion in the Tulsa market further south. I would fully endorse and visit more often if there was a location further south. And to top the night was a tasty Saki toast!
