This was a 5 star experience! How cool that we got a free massage at a nice boutique styled place. I read Amanda's review of this experience and she said they offer an extra 30 minutes massage for only $20 so I took them up on that offer on my visit. The Cloud 9 receptionist was super friendly and encouraged me to take photos and ask any questions. She even gave me a mini tour while I waited for my appointment. I also learned that currently they are in a soft opening with their grand opening happening on July 1st. The session began with a warm water foot soak, then a scalp, neck, shoulders and arms mini massage then she moved on to the feet and calves. She finished with a warm towel on my legs to clean off the lotion. The therapist had very strong hands and giggled whenever I asked a question. She said she trained in China and in the Bay area of California. About 10 minutes into my massage session, the manager showed up and told me It turned out that they overbooked appointments so they had to stick to my original 30 minute Yelp Elite Experience time and then to compensate, he gave me my extra 30 minute session free for a future visit. It all worked out. I really enjoyed this special treat and am seriously considering buying a package of sessions for the future. Great experience! I love Chinese foot massage, basically the one kind of massage I pay for. This place is very reasonably priced. The receptionist was very friendly and the place is super clean, which is what you want in a spa. The yelp event was for 30 min but I increased it to 60 so I could take a nap on the massage chair. By default it seems the masseuses don't use gloves, but I verified that you can ask them too if you want, and their practice is pretty clean regardless. (This is mostly something that my mom is afraid of.) Overall, this was excellent, and if I'm in the area I'll be back. I love that there is a lot of easy parking because that's what I'm always afraid of. The massage itself was standard- self note to stop wearing jeans when going to foot massage places! And also to avoid something dehydrating like hot pot because massages are dehydrating too... But I fell asleep so A+. Oh, if the owner is reading this, I'd recommend finding a better music set, I think the one that was playing while I was there kept abruptly stopping and starting over. read more

Cloud9 was easy to find when using Google maps. I found the decor cute. I love how penguins are used throughout. I was offered to extend my 30 minute massage to an hour for $5 so I went for it. Allen was good and it was a nice massage. I've never done a foot massage so didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that in the hour I also got a bit of a body massage. There isn't much talking involved but enough for me to learn that Allen didn't have strong english skills. As a result, I let him know that I could understand Manderin chinese to make his life easier. I felt bridging the language barrier helped my initial couple of minutes of the experience but I know that's not going to be the norm for everyone. Overall I had a great time! I had a wonderful 30 min foot massage at this spotless and beautifully decorated location. I loved the warm welcoming and I even got a tour. I think it is so cool that they are geared towards families, that's why they chose a penguin as their mascot. When I arrived, I was offered a $5 special to upgrade to a one-hour appointment. Hmm, okay! The receptionist is very friendly, and we chatted quite a bit after I was done. The location is part of a larger business complex. Google maps was exactly correct getting me to the front door. Phew. I never would have found it otherwise. The interior is new, clean lines decor, with an approachable vibe. They have two rooms with two beds and four rooms with one bed for the body massages. The foot massages are done in a shared room with 6(?) convertible beds. Both the 30 minutes and 60 minutes foot massages include body massage and foot/leg massage. Foot/leg is soaked and lotioned for the massage. Body/thigh massage is done over clothing with a towel on top. Time flies when you are being kneaded dough. (Lol) It was a very enjoyable experience! Driving up to the spa, I actually drove right past it. They just have their name on the door and it's in an office park, so no big signage. But from the moment you walk in the door you get the "Nordstrom experience" where the staff are so generous and kind, and really pamper you from entry to exit. They gave me a tour of the place, I had some tea, and got to interact with another Yelper who was also at the event. Everything is really calming. My massage therapist was actually a guy which I was thrilled with, because typically when you go to an Asian spa it's all women. So I was pleased that they have both men and women massage therapists here. I like both, and I also love novelty, so getting a guy masseuse was the best! I was thinking it was just going to be a foot massage, but actually the head massage was one of my favorite parts, and they also loosen up other parts of the body like your thighs and such. Kind of reminded me a bit of a mini-version of a Thai Massage for those who have ever been to Thailand and experienced that. Also big shoutouts to the receptionist who answered all my millions of questions and was so incredibly helpful about the spa, the massage, and the entire experience. I had such a fantastic foot massage at Cloud 9! Once you walk in, there is a seating area with complimentary tea which was nice to sip on before the massage. Since it was a foot massage experience, I didn't expect to be massaged anywhere except my feet, but my masseuse Jenny gave me a nice head and neck massage while my feet were soaking for the first 5 minutes. I love a good massage, so this was a wonderful Yelp elite perk to treat myself to a foot and body massage at the new Cloud 9, a spa in Redmond. Because of this Yelp elite perk, I was able to learn more about Cloud 9 and have a better sense of their services, allowing me to decide if I'd book a massage here again. For this Yelp elite perk, you're required to set up an account with Cloud 9 in order to book your complimentary 30-minute foot massage. I was able to easily use the site's scheduling system to do so on a date and time I wanted, and shortly after doing so, I was contacted by staff to ask if I wanted to add on a 30-minute body massage for just $10. Sure, that's a fantastic deal. When I visited a few minutes before my appointment, the friendly receptionist was able to give me a tour of the facility, with rooms for private body massages and the community room where the foot massages occur. The space was nice and very clean. I liked that they had a separate lobby area, with complimentary tea and water. My masseuse was Jack who was very friendly. He showed me to the community room for the foot and body massage. My feet was in hot water while Jack massaged my scalp, which was nice. Then he gave me a 30-minute foot massage and then the last 30 minutes was for the rest of my body, which was A-OK since it was over clothes. But the person who was sitting in the chair next to me literally was snoring! So glad he was enjoying his massage so much that he fell asleep and was that relaxed. The only issue I have with this Yelp elite experience is that after reading reviews, Cloud 9 staff offered different prices to add on a 30-minute body massage to others. Others wrote that they only paid $5 while I was quoted $10. When asked about this at checkout, the receptionist said that they wanted to offer the experience to all and that it wasn't like they were choosing who to pay more or less. I didn't understand the reasoning. $10 isn't bad at all, but am just confused as to why some Yelpers paid less and others paid more. Also, my hour-long service ended four minutes early. What an absolute treat to try this new business and receive a 30 minute foot massage! Their locations was a bit surprising since it's in the middle of industrial buildings. A hidden gem! Plenty of parking and a variety of services from full body, Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and foot massages. The massage itself was wonderful and had me wishing I upgraded to the 1-hour. This was a very nice and relaxing experience. Glad I had an opportunity to try this new foot massage establishment. Evidently their headquarters is in SF CA and this is a first establishment n WA. There is ample parking in the lot, but the building it self wasn't very easy to find. Drove around a bit before I found it. You are immediately greeted by the receptionist and given a quick tour. Then I was offered tea and asked to have a seat in the waiting area for Jack. Jack came out promptly and took me back to the multiple bed room for my foot massage. They have nice containers near your massage bed to place all your belongings ( which I think it's a nice touch. ) Before you start your session, they bring out a bucket of hot water to soak your feet. I was told to stick my feet in the bucket and I followed the instructions, but the water was pretty hot so Jack went and got some cold water to add to the bucket. The foot massage was rather relaxing, as was the head massage, but at times too vigorous or too much pressure. It would have been nice if Jack would have checked in occasionally And inquired as to whether the pressure was okay. All in all it was a nice and relaxing experience and I would return to experience some of their other massage offerings. Yet another fantastic Elite Experience by Alexa! I'm so glad I got to discover and enjoy this great spa! I easily made an appointment once I got the email from Alexa, and unfortunately I ran about 30 minutes late but they were still able to accommodate me and of course I took their 1 hour upgrade offer. I was swiftly escorted back to the foot massage space, which had 5 comfortable beds that were spaced out around the room. My masseuse, Jack, was a man of few words but worked wonders with his hands! I didn't realize that the 1 hour foot massage came with practically a full body massage as well, which makes it definitely worth the extra $20. I was able to get a nice scalp, neck, and arm massage while my feet were soaking, then an intensive foot and leg massage, and finally flipped over for a little back massage. The one downside in my experience was the foot tub was a little too tall for me, so it dug into my legs a little, while I laid down. I can tell they're still trying to iron out the kinks, so hopefully they can find something a little more comfortable for guests. Another thing I noticed was that basically nothing was on wheels, so it seemed like a hassle for the masseuses to move around. I felt bad that Jack had to bend because the beds were so low! All in all, a great experience. Especially because they gave us a couple discounts for when we come back, which I will definitely be doing very soon! I had a great time! I was texted in advance of the appointment with an offer to extend my service to an hour, but I had a friend who booked with me so we stuck to the 30-minutes that we originally booked for. Not sure how they knew we were friends (neither of us mentioned each other in our bookings) but less than an hour before our time slot they called and texted me to let me know that they overbooked appointments and asked if I would be okay starting 20 minutes later, which was fine. When we arrived, we checked in at the front desk where the receptionist was kind and encouraged us to take photos and videos. She also gave me a tote bag with some candy inside it before showing us around the building. We went back to the lobby to wait before they pulled us into the communal room for the foot massages. We took off our shoes and laid down, starting with a foot soak while they massaged your head and scalp (don't be like me and shower before going). One service feedback we provided them after (since they asked if there was anything they could have done to improve their services) was that it was a little awkward on the lower back when you're laying on the flat beds with knees bent and in buckets of water. They did mention that they have the option to raise the beds to an incline but that the massage therapists who were working on us that day were not native English speakers (not quite clear on what that meant but I would imagine they would incorporate the incline-able beds in the future). The rest of the massage was great - once my legs were up on the footstool I was ready to fall asleep. I will definitely be back for more; the 60 minute foot massage would be perfect, and I'd also like to the deep tissue massage sometime soon! Once the experience was over, we had tea in the lobby and checked out. Tipping in cash is preferred, but they did have an option to tip when paying by card as well. read more

I was almost immediately taken into the room to begin my massage, I didn't even have any time to try their fresh green tea hot water! Tried it later and it was delicious. The masseuse brought us into a larger room where there were multiple bed set up and not a private room. Perhaps some of their shorter massages are done in this larger shared room. Massage started with a surprise 10 minute head, neck and shoulder massage! I wasn't expecting that at all. The rest of it went really great, the masseuse was kind and asked me throughout if the pressure was ok. The entire place is very calm and peaceful. What a humble but delightful event. Upon being greeted with a welcome Rose from Alluvium, one steps in and is welcomed to the house party that is the Cloud 9 Spa reception area. Everybody's just chilling and talking while they wait for their mini-massages, which are promised to be 15 min and expectations exceeded throughout - mine was definitely longer than 15! Half of it is a quick foot massage followed by a back massage. At least I think it was as I was definitely out like a light pretty quickly. The merriment in front was great - amazing gift card sales on the offer and regular random drawings for free massages! The owner even threw in a twist and asked a trivia question which I randomly got right - Cloud 9 Spa was started in 2010 in the Bay Area. The prize? Another free massage! Which I can't wait to redeem. One random thing - the conversation steered toward AI, and AI Video in particular. The owner asked me to make a video on a prompt of his mascot - the Emperor Penguin floating on a cloud. I threw that into the gallery as what came out. Their foot spa setup is in a common room whereas the body massage rooms vary if you book an individual or couple's massage. The foot spa starts with upper body relaxation: oil massage for the forehead and neck, with relaxation for arms and shoulders. The massage was on point, just where all the soreness in muscles was. I had a delightful experience today at Cloud9! I appreciated that before going in, there was good communication (via text) about confirmation and also any schedule delays. The store is located right off the main road where Redmond Way and E. Lake Sammamish Pkwy meet but a little tucked away. The inside was very clean and inviting and I was greeted by a friendly face. I was promptly taken inside to an area that I assume is more of a communal area for massages that don't require a lot of privacy. I did see several individual rooms besides the communal room. The communal room was serene with calm music playing and no talking. I like that my foot massage started with a quick scalp massage (just a couple of minutes) while my feet soaked in warm water. The scalp massage transitioned into the foot massage with my masseuse asking if the pressure was okay. I was super excited for my foot massage. I was able to squeeze an appointment in last Sunday night, which was a perfect wrap to my weekend. When I called to schedule my appointment I was encouraged to come in early to get a tour & to take photos etc. I came in about 20 minutes early to do so, but upon arrival the reception told me the person I booked with would not be available until an hour after my appointment time. Another person was ready to take me right away. So I took it and never got the tour. I tried to ask questions about the facility but felt ushered to my "early" appointment. I saw someone wrote it was a Chinese foot spa so I was even more excited, but my experience wasn't that at all. The foot/leg massage was just okay. Mine was more rubbing than a massage. I did like the scalp massage though. Maybe it's a one-off and because it was a later appointment close to closing? However, I'm not going to complain on a complementary service as I did have a nice time unwinding. If I come back I will definitely communicate my preferred massage pressure. The entrance is a small, fairly nondescript door in the middle of a long warehouse building, but as soon as you enter, you immediately know you're in a spa. The lobby has soothing music, comfortable chairs, complimentary tea, and the most welcoming front desk staff. The foot massage room is spacious and quiet, with relaxing music. Allen was my therapist, and he did a great job and had strong hands, which I appreciated. An hour flew by for sure! I didn't get a full body massage, but did see that they have capabilities for that too with rooms for single and double occupants. The place is family friendly, noting that do couples massages or massages for parents and children of any age. The visit finished with a cup of their delicious tea.
