I really didn't think we could find quality Mexican food in this relatively small German city, but as a Tex-Mex craving American, let me tell you, you will not be disappointed. The yummily messy flavor profiles, the variety of proteins (beef, mushrooms, chicken), the presentation, the heading portions - it was all here. Your cravings will be satisfied. Service was fast, and some of the cooks only spoke Spanish (no English or German), which tells you how authentic it is! Worth walking a bit from the S-Bahn to find. The food was really good, it's nice to find tacos and ones that have some kick to them. The outside seating was great on a hot day. You can order and prepay online by scanning a QR code on a buzzer which will alert you to your order being ready. I really liked the food but the online menu and ordering process wasn't ideal, especially if you are unfamiliar with the menu. I maybe would have had a better experience with the indoor large screen ordering system (like the kind they have at fast food restaurants). I am a bit old fashioned and like to order directly and ask questions if needed. read more

Best Mexican food I have ever had, took 10 minutes to get 3 tacos made so very good service. Owner runs it and is very kind, they have a good ambiance, inside bar seats and nice outside seating with shade offered. Looking for a break from the kebabs and found this place. It's a small and cozy restaurant. We were greeted right away and the owner explained the menu and process. I had an horchata, taco al pastor, and pollo ranchero both with spicy sauce. They were tasty and the hot sauce wasn't too spicy. The horchata wasn't too sweet. Overall positive experience! read more

I live in San Diego, California, on the border of Mexico. I was surprised to see Mexican food in Germany. Donald Trump wants to build a wall along the border to keep the Mexicans out, but a trip to Freiburg would tell The Don, that Mexicans are world wide! Lol I have a high standard for Mexican food since it is the most popular cuisine where I'm from. Apparently Yepa Yepa has an equally high standard. I didn't know if the place was legit so when I walked in I asked if they spoke Spanish. Everyone there had beautiful Spanish! And the tacos were some of the best I have ever had. The tacos were prepared perfectly. They even had rice in them. I've only had rice in my tacos when I make them at home. I would love to go back to this place. The employees and manager were all awesome and extremely helpful. And it was a nice change to be able to speak Spanish while in Germany. If you're in Freiburg, this taco shop is a MUST! read more

This place is legit. My rule of thumb is to avoid Mexican restaurants in Europe but at a recommendation, I gave this place a try. I have travelled in Mexico and the American Southwest and this place has the flavors and dishes that absolutely compete on an international level. If you love Mexican food and you are in Freiburg, skip the Schnitzel for one night and enjoy the flavors that made Mexican cuisine famous. This taqueria is pretty good for people who sometimes want to have tacos out of states or Mexico. The texture is good, but they don't have so much salsa on it and the corn tortilla is okay, not very fresh but people should already be happy to at least have it in Germany. Do you not want to overpay for your food? Then this is the place for you! We stopped by here on our way back to Colmar and it was well worth the detour. The owner was so nice and the food was absolutely amazing I almost cried. Tacos are about 2 Euros each and 3-4 tacos are enough to fill you up. Wash it down with some Horchata or any of the other fresh fruit juices or Mexican sodas. Even their desserts are delicious. We will back again! read more
