Because of this place's nature, I'd say it attracts the older clientele, and therefore young parties should perhaps find alternative accomodation, although I'm sure all ages are welcome. The restaurant and bar staff are very friendly, although a tad scatty, but they get there in the end .. If you like things nice and quiet, and want comfort too, then this is ideal place to stay if you ever have the misfortune to be in Hunmamby ..

Harbour Grange is situated on the River Esk, and there you can sit outside the house and enjoy the fantastic view. On the River at the bottom of Green Lane approx. 7 min walk from the bus and train stations with no hills or steps to climb. 10 minutes walk to the sea and beaches. They sleep max. 24 people in 5 rooms with full size bunk beds. The rooms sleep 12, 24, 16, 18 - all on the ground floor of the house. Family rooms are available on request. The price for 2008 is £15 per night based on dormitories, groups £250 per night; with £1 extra for hiring of sheets if you haven't got your own. Sleeping bags are OK to use as well. The Kitchen has very good self catering facilities and the hostel is open all day. Only down side is there is a curfew at 11.30pm (quiet at midnight) and the premises are non smoking. An alternative to B & B's if you don't mind hostels but B & B's are cheap too.

It is located on Falconers Road overlooking the roundabout next to Iceland supermarket and Westborough Street. There is no free car parking however the pay-and-display parking opposite the hotel is free in the evening and overnight. Also there is a secure car park building close to the hotel which closes its gate at night around 11 pm if my memory serves me right. There is an attached pub which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had a breakfast and an early dinner there. The food quality was good but the breakfast selection wasn't as diverse as the rest of the Premier Inn's I stayed in. The staff in the reception and the pub were friendly and helpful. The lady at the reception disk gave me useful information regarding where to park the hire car. This is a good place to stay regardless which traveler category you fall under.

The staff is very nice and quite friendly. Have not yet had breakfast but I will say the garlic mushrooms appetizer was amazing. The fried scampi and chips was quite good. I sampled the fish and chips and it was great. There was more fish than most places so you can rest assured it's not pure batter. Should I find my way back here I'd definitely stay here. Coz this yapping little poxy dog sitting at the table near by. Why they need to bring dogs to eat I have no idea but this one was a pain in the ass. I stayed in room 21 on the night of Saturday 10th June 2023 and i was extremely surprised when my room that was just a twin room had a balcony that overlooked the town nicely. Entire room was spotlessly clean including things like the bath, toilet, beds etc. The breakfast was the best breakfast i had had in a very long time, cooked to perfection. This was our 4th stay and it goes from strength to strength. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the linens and soft furnishings are top notch and the atmosphere is comfy. The ownership obviously takes great pride in their business and it shows. We have stayed at many other places in Scarborough including The Crown Hotel which is consistently named the top hotel in town but believe us, THE MANSION HOUSE IS THE BEST ACCOMMODATION IN SCARBOROUGH.
