Like many others here, I had to stop by to try the purple rice roll. The portion is pretty hefty so I would recommend sharing if you're looking to try other dishes. The roll can be ordered sweet or savory, and I would recommend adding protein. The beef roll is flavorful but slightly watery, so it was a bit messy to eat. My absolute fave order has to be the freshly made soy milk! Prices are extremely affordable. I can't wait to come back to try other dishes.

I really wanted to like this place. Where to start? Maybe the positive parts. Ordered via QR code to go. Email said ready in 25 mins. That's was insanely accurate. Parking was not bad. Although I think someone hit my car...if you're reading this...You suck. The food was fresh. But the portion small..this is the day before where they posted they were closed due to lack of ingredients. The customer service is ok leaning more towards improvement. I understand it's not your fault social media blew you guys up. But at the same time in the era that we live in it should be expected. I was told by the front that if you order online just give your name for the order. Now the cons. The left out one of my orders. Pig ears. I called 3 times. No answer. On the fourth call a man picked up and said he couldn't believe they left it out. He wanted me to come back but I was already home...he promised a refund and he was good on his word. I factored this in with my rating. I ordered: 2 beef noodle soups - $14.75 each 1 Mince pork rice $12 FanTuan - $8.25 (extra pickle radish/purple rice) 2 large sweet soy milk - $4.25 each 1 salty soy milk small - $4.75 1 Chinese donut - $3.75 Missing pig ears / $7 Total with tax was $80.15 The food was mid. I'm sorry. It was most likely the influx from social media. The portion are small compared to other taiwanese spots. I feel so bad straying away from my usual spot (which I won't mention). I took a picture comparison of my fan Tuan you can judge yourself... The sweet soy milk was good. Overall I won't be back.

Was so excited to try this spot! You sit down, order, and pay via your table's QR code, which makes things super easy. I got the cold soy milk, which was so delicious and refreshing, as well as the pork chop rice plate. The rice plate was yummy and comforting - I loved the minced pork on the rice as well and the marinated cucumbers and veggies were a great addition. I shared the spicy wonton but it ended up being overly salty and spicy which really overshadowed the wonton flavor itself. They were also unfortunately out of the popular beef roll when we arrived (around 2pm). Service is about average but the prices are quite reasonable, and as a lover of Taiwanese food, I know I'll definitely find my way back! Parking in the plaza or underground.

Salty Rice Roll -- purple rice, extra crispy youtiao, pork floss, pickled radish, sausage, friend egg, and sour pickles

Such a staple breakfast item and great for a meal on the go! Parking was okay, there's extra parking in the little underground garage they have. Service was average and relatively quick for to-go. Got the salty rice roll -- purple rice, extra crispy youtiao, pork floss, pickled radish, fried egg, 1/2 sausage, and sour pickles. So balanced in textures and flavors! A good price for a filling and yummy meal! Overall, it's a recommended stop for me! They have more things on their menu to try and for a reasonable price too. Worth a stop if you're in the area!

OMG this place was incredible. I wanted to eat absolutely EVERYTHING on the menu and take everything home from the front display. There is plenty of seating, and the flavors, textures, portions, prices are all top notch. I can't believe how delicious everything was--I haven't had food like this since i was in Taiwan! Absolutely stunning and I wish I lived closer to be able to enjoy more frequently! The service is quick and efficient, the food comes out promptly, and we had a wonderful relaxing brunch! I have had a large quantity of beef rolls in my life and this one was extremely tender and delicious, definitely a step up in juiciness from sometimes the dryer version you might get elsewhere. Sensational!

Taiwanese breakfast cravings = handled Yi Mei is a laid-back spot serving authentic Taiwanese favorites from savory pancakes and rice rolls to soy milk, noodles, and snacks. Everything is made with fresh ingredients and rooted in tradition, and you can taste that quality in every bite. I tried: Cold sweet milk tea Pan-fried pork dumplings Popcorn chicken Simple, flavorful, and perfect for a quick, satisfying bite.

I saw someone try their fan tuan on Instagram, so I was excited to try it! I ordered online and got the Fan Tuan with purple rice and a cold sweetened black soy milk. The fan tuan comes with pork floss and pickled veggies, and I didn't get any additional add-ons. I did request the youtiao to be extra crispy! Picking up my order was easy as you just go to the cashier and they'll give it to you. As for the food, I thought it was decent. I appreciated the large portion size of the fan tuan and despite picking up my order 20 mins late, the youtiao was still crispy, so definitely recommend requesting for extra crispy! The taste was okay though. I've had pork floss many times, and it usually has a nice balance of sweet and savory. However, I found their pork floss to be too sweet, so that really overpowered the taste of the whole fan tuan. I did like the purple rice as it was a great texture, firm and not mushy. Honestly, I had high expectations for the fan tuan, so I was a bit disappointed it didn't meet them. I will say I enjoyed the black soy milk! Perfect sweetness, and I like that they don't put ice in it since you get more of the drink haha. Overall, I would recommend trying it once, but personally, I wouldn't visit again. Maybe I'll try their other food items as they seem affordable, but I wouldn't order the fan tuan again.

Got their fan tuan recently through a delivery app. It was really good and flavorful with a nice crunch. I recommend adding the egg and sausage.

Love this Taiwanese breakfast place! I like how you're able to seat yourself and order using a QR code and pay on the spot. They also have a sauce station with lots of options. The crispy rice roll (with purple rice) was my favorite dish as it was so crispy and flavorful with every bite. The pork dumplings were so juicy and they gave a generous amount for the price. I really liked the daikon cake with egg too. The texture was just perfect and I enjoyed dipping in their garlic sauce. The egg omelet was also flavorful and added a nice touch.

March 30, 2026 I've been searching for a good Taiwanese scallion pancake ever since my favorite breakfast spot in Rowland Heights shut down, and I finally found the one at Yi Mei. It brought back exactly the kind of flavor and texture I've been missing for a long time. The scallion pancake was the highlight--crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with that savory scallion flavor that makes Taiwanese breakfast so comforting. It really hit the spot. The drinks were perfect and paired really well with the food. Everything tasted truly authentic, which isn't always easy to find. You can tell they're staying true to traditional Taiwanese breakfast flavors. I also appreciated how clean and organized the place was. Ordering through the QR code made everything super convenient, and the service was fast. Great system if you just want to get in, enjoy good food, and go about your day. Overall, solid Taiwanese breakfast, fast service, and a scallion pancake that finally satisfied the craving I've had since my old Rowland Heights spot closed. Definitely coming back.

Dined in for breakfast on 3/13/26 with a group of 8 people around 10:00 am. Parking: Kind of small, but you can park on the street Menu: You scan the QR code with your phone Service: Food came out pretty fast after we ordered Food: - Rice roll: 3/5, tasted average to me. A simple sticky rice with the crunchy texture in the middle. I need to dip this in the sauce. - Egg Omelet: 4.5/5, really good!! Can't go wrong with this dish! - Daikon Cake: 4.5/5, super tasty too and nice when it comes out hot and fresh! - Green onion pancake: 4/5, you can't go wrong with a green onion pancake. It was flaky and crispy! Good flavor

~TAIWANESE BREAKFAST CRAVINGS? THIS HITS THE SPOT ~ Yi Mei is Taiwanese girly approved. This spot definitely scratched that Taiwanese breakfast itch, especially when you're craving classic comfort foods that remind you of mornings in Taiwan. We came late morning and the place was already pretty lively, with a mix of dine-in and lots of people grabbing takeout. Ordering is easy with a QR code at the table, and the food came out pretty quickly once we placed everything. Of course we had to get the purple rice fan tuan (rice roll). It was decent, the fillings were good, though the rice itself was a little firmer than I usually prefer. Still, it had that classic combo of savory, chewy, and crunchy in the middle that makes fan tuan so satisfying. The daikon cake was actually one of my favorite bites. Crispy on the outside, soft inside, and super comforting. We also tried the Taiwanese sausage rice, which was simple but really flavorful. For drinks, we tried the soy milk and milk tea. The soy milk leaned more traditional and savory, which some people love and others might find a little different. The milk tea was a easily delicious. Inside they also sell a bunch of grab-and-go items like pastries, pineapple cakes, drinks, and packaged snacks, which honestly makes it feel even more like a Taiwanese breakfast shop. Is it exactly like eating breakfast in Taiwan? Not quite. But it definitely gets pretty close and is a great place to satisfy the craving if you're in the area. Overall: comforting Taiwanese breakfast vibes, quick service, and plenty of classic dishes to try.

    Fan Tuan with purple rice

We were craving Taiwanese food for brunch and found Yi Mei on Yelp, so we decided to give them a try. You can order in the front or via QR code, we opted for the QR code. Once the order is placed, they will bring the food out to you. I decided to order the Fan Tuan with purple rice ($11.05) and it was a tasty bite. The Fan Tuan was filling and satisfied my cravings. The Fan Tuan was a solid amount of food. Next time, I would share a half of it to try more of their other food items. There is a sauce bar where you can load up on sauces, I got the chili oil and enjoyed the spicy kick that it provided for each bite of my food.

Service was rushed and disorganized from the start -- the server wanted our order the moment we sat down, leaving us scrambling to decide. We ordered the Hu Tieu Thap Cam (large noodles), Banh Bot Chien, and Dau Cha Quay as an appetizer. The Bot Chien came out first after about 20 minutes. My soup didn't arrive until 15 minutes after that, and the Dau Cha Quay? We had to ask four times before it finally showed up -- by which point we were nearly done eating. As for the food itself, my Hu Tieu Thap Cam was a disappointment. A large bowl that was mostly noodles, with just two shrimp, a single slice of liver, barely a teaspoon of ground beef, and a few thin slivers of chicken. The veggie toppings were just as sparse. For what's supposed to be a hearty noodle soup, it felt like a bowl of afterthoughts. I hate writing reviews like this because I genuinely used to love this place. But the combination of slow, uncoordinated service and underwhelming portions makes it hard to recommend.

I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.
