I asked an older lady behind the counter if she had my order, she confirmed it was the drinks I was looking at. I tell her that my order is wrong, and she argues that we ordered extra sago (not the drink I was talking about) She didn't let me explain that I was referring to the mango drink with pearls until I had to raise my voice- still being polite, but wanting to address why my drink had pearls. She laughed and said I ordered them. I had selected the option for "no sago" but didn't realize it meant you get pearls instead. They didn't have an option to omit the sago. Anyhow, once we both realize the mistake, and I tell her it was an accident, she shoves the drink to me and turns around to walk away. I tell her I don't want it and she laughs and says, it's what you ordered. Didn't offer to make a new one - despite being an honest mistake (based on a crappy ordering platform). I admit that I initially dismissed them as uninteresting because I didn't check out their menu and assumed that they served only fruit teas. My bad - had I done my homework, I would have learned that not only do they serve a variety of Taiwanese fruit teas, they also offer milk teas with boba and other toppings. Our visit to the downtown San Mateo location, when I discovered their Almond Milk Grass Jelly Frappe, changed this. Since then, whenever we are at the Colma Serra Center, Yi Fang is always on our spots to hit up. This Colma locale is only the second of Yifang shoppes that I have visited. Are all of them tiny? This venue is smaller than San Mateo, offering minimal seating outside. Maximum capacity for the customer area inside can't even be twenty. The space is clean, though, and they have plenty of free parking in the lot. Just like San Mateo, this Colma Yifang store is kiosk serving which the germaphobe in me is not a fan of at all. I always make Z place the orders, so that I don't need to touch anything. I witnessed a couple of customers who faced issues with ordering, but a staff member happily jumped in to assist them. Yifang drinks are consistent in taste between stores, so you can rest assured that your beverages won't stray from the tastes that you are accustomed to and expect. I always order the Almond Milk Grass Jelly Frappe + Almond Jelly. The boys like the Strawberry Fruit Tea and Mom always goes for the Red Bean Purple Rice Coconut Latte. Service is fairly quick here. Filling orders seems slightly unorganized, though; some drinks in big orders get missed or are not made at the same time as the rest and beverages don't seem to always be ready in the order of when they were placed. If you are in the area and want to quickly pick up beverages made with home-made organic cane sugar, seasonal fresh fruits, and natural ingredients, Yifang Taiwan Tea is the place to go. read more

I'm not gonna lie, whenever I see a passion fruit green tea and it's real passion fruit, with the crunchy black seeds in the drink, I'm gonna order it. I grew up eating a lot of fruit and just love when a fruit tea has real fruit/fruit juice in it. it just tastes better too, and not like Yellow 5. However, I just wish the device they use didn't lag so much, or maybe it's my lack of patience. Either way it took twice as long to order just because it was the laggy device, and everything came out as we hoped so I can't really complain. It might just be a preference at this point, so be warned it might be laggy for you too. My husband and I always love visiting any Yi Fang locations whenever we have milk tea cravings. While driving on our way back from our hiking activities in the Pacifica area, our cravings brought us to this Colma location. What attracts us to Yi Fang is the variety of drinks to order for the lactose intolerance. I usually order a strawberry milk tea with oat milk substitution and the flavor is always so vibrant along with small strawberry chunks. I usually get 25-30% sweetness and it was just the perfect amount for me. This is truly a grab and go location (which is fine) but something to take note of when visiting as some Yi Fang locations have a sit down area. Tea names are very creative - staff are friendly The bad: - not much space inside, no room for sitting - got the hot lemon ginger tea, which they recommended by putting a sign next to the cash register that says "limited time only, seasonal". Instead of giving me a styrofoam cup (even a cheap Dunkin' Donuts cup will do), they put the hot boiling tea into a cup for cold drinks, sealed the top with plastic as if it was a cold drink, and told me to use a straw. LOL. The straw is plastic and can melt, the seal at the top is plastic and can melt, and the cup itself is plastic and can melt. For a $6 - $7 drink, should you not at least give me a cup for hot drinks? It's not too much to ask! Overall, they try their best, and are very friendly, but not the smartest place around. read more
