For 3 we ordered the pan fried chicken dumplings, followed by the beef medley (£30), noodles with vegetables.

The Samgyupsal (Grilled Pork Belly) was delicious! Probably my favourite in England so far. It's always hard to find here because so many places serve only Halal to cater to the local populations, but it's always a treat for me when I find the authentic dish in the UK. It was juicy, fully cooked through, and perfectly lightly flavoured with salt and pepper. I ordered 3 of my 4 favourite dishes here. The other two are Samgyetang (Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup) and Tuna Kimbap. The Tuna Kimbap is also hard to find in England and I don't know why. It's a simply colourful and delicious dish to make and doesn't take much cooking. The Samgyetang broth was good and the meat was tender. It didn't come with salt and pepper on the side which it traditionally comes with in my experience since it's normally a very very light broth, but this time it felt light and fresh but still had a good amount of flavour. The owner and server seemed nice and are Korean so I made sure to say 맛있다 or mashita expressing how tasty everything was and my love for their cooking. It's on a main road and close to Middlesex University, if I was a student again, I'd definitely be here all the time, haha. Note that there aren't banchan (traditional Korean side dishes) but it was still a very filling experience and not overly greasy. Also, the Brown Rice Green Tea is my go-to tea, but it came in a teabag which I wasn't expecting, still lovely though! I'd love to come back sometime and try more faves. Maybe I'll bring family.

The reason this is 5 star though is because the Korean fried chicken here is just banging! :) Strongly recommend - whenever am craving fried chicken - not too often it serves up a treat. You can get the mixed variety with half honey glazed & half normal. Josh the owner is really nice - cute family run biz plus always has kpop in the background. Yep IU, BTS you name it ;) great addition to Hendon.

I have gone a few times and had the sushi as well as a couple of the hot dishes. The sushi is okay though not my favourite in London. It will do for a quick meal. They really excel more at the hot meals and I want to try a bunch more. This is a nice little addition to Golders Green, where you can either eat in or take out.

They are delicious, and I haven't yet seen them anywhere else in London (though presumably, they exist). The shop also offers many bubble tea flavors and an assortment of Korean and Japanese foods. I got the bibimbap, which comes with a very authentic sauce. My husband got the fried noodles with beef, along with a hand (sushi) roll. The variety was good, and everything seemed fresh. The portion sizes seemed appropriate to both me and my husband. Prices seemed reasonable, except for the bingsu - which was rare enough and large enough to merit it. As others mentioned, the woman who owns the restaurant seems attentive, hard-working, and very nice. The chairs without backs didn't much bother me, and I thought the decor was fine. If we lived nearby, I would be a regular.

It's true I couldn't read everything on the packaging and I probably looked as out of place as I felt, but the people running the place were really nice and didn't laugh at my strange variety of purchases. Great selection for a relatively small grocery store.

I don't live close to a K-Mart and also don't drive, so I've mostly ordered groceries for delivery…read more(through http://www.kmart-uk.com/), which worked fine the first few times I ordered from them. However, I will no longer be patronizing this business after this most recent experience, which was absolutely horrendous. This time I submitted an order for about GBP 50 worth of groceries, which is typically delivered the next day, and specifically requested on the order form for the delivery to be made after 4pm (so that I could be home to accept the delivery). However, several days pass without delivery or contact from their end, so after about a week I try both calling and emailing them (at the address on their website: info@hankookfood.com) to no avail. Finally, I get a text message from their end (presumably from the delivery guy) asking (at 11am) if they can make the delivery that day (at 4pm). I respond that that won't be possible, but the following day will be OK. They respond that they're not sure what their schedule will be like then so they'll contact me again later. The next day, they text me (at 11am) asking if they can deliver within the next couple of hours (at 1pm; keep in mind that I specifically requested delivery after 4pm on my order form). I respond that I work during the week so that time won't be possible, and that (for this reason) I requested delivery after 4pm. They respond that there is no evening delivery (which is false, since they delivered at least 4 previous orders for me during the evening) and proceed to tell me that the delay in delivery is my fault because they keep calling me and not getting through (also false; worth noting, too, that despite these alleged multiple calls they've left zero voicemails). Here are the last two text messages they sent me, verbatim (from number +44 07919 277 573, FYI): - Korean (in Revised Romanization): [gandanhan baesongeul we geureokge mot batneunji gunggeumhamnida. bujaejung jeonhwaga gereokge manheundaedo we jeonhwa hantong an haessneunjido ihaega an doemnida.] - English translation: 'I wonder why you're so unable to receive a simple delivery. I really can't understand why you didn't call back a number from which you received so many missed calls.' (Note: There are no missed calls. Also, even if there were, who calls back random numbers they don't recognize?) - Korean: [dasineun sikijimaseyo. dasi sikimyeon nimeun gaesseuregiga doeneungeonika. (sic)] - English translation: 'Don't order from us again. If you order from us again, you're dog sh*t.' I kid you not. This business is off its rocker (or at least the delivery guy is...). Anyway, even though it's a bit less convenient and more expensive I think I'll be getting my Korean groceries from the Centre Point Food Store in Bloomsbury. They are nice over there and don't call you 'dog sh*t'. :)

(Seriously, I think it was a money laundering business as they never had any customers, it seemed.) And thus a few days after it opened, we went to try it out...that was quite a while ago and we've been back several times since. However, to be quite honest, Sushi Wa wasn't what I would call one of my instant favourites. My first visit was actually not so much of revelation - I liked the decor, the nice service, but thought the food was only so so. Plus, I thought it was odd that a sushi place would also offer a partially Korean menu, such as bi bim bap. Now Sushi Wa has come to be one of our deafult take-away locations and funnily enough, the bi bim bap has become a favourite of mine. (To be sure, it's not amazing, but quite good.) My partner always orders the Mixed Chirashi and the rolls are generally also of very good quality.
