Yelp Review 2026 #137:
Being in Switzerland for 2 weeks, I've missed sushi so much that I started researching online where to go at each city for sushi restaurants. Yikou Sushi & Tea popped up for Bern. It's near the hotel I'm staying at and conveniently located within 2-3 minute walk from Albert Einstein's house and a chocolate shop I went to.
I came here for lunch. The restaurant is super tiny with only 3-4 tables. The decor is pretty loud. Cherry blossoms, anime and lanterns. The lone server handed us an iPad to look at the menu and order but the battery died after 2 minutes. So, we asked for another iPad.
The server and the sushi chef were Chinese. It's like how sushi restaurants in Las Vegas have Korean/ Mexican servers/ sushi chefs. As long as you make good sushi and the service is great, I don't care who makes and delivers it to me.
To my surprise, they have all-you-can-eat! I got so excited because it's like being in Vegas but in Switzerland which means it's more expensive.
I was scrolling through the tablet and kept adding more stuff not knowing I was ordering from the dinner menu. Oops! Their AYCE menu doesn't have much so, I just got multiple of the same thing.
I got different rolls and nigiri with salmon, and tempura. The food came out quick which was nice about having limited space. The fish-rice ratio was fine. The fish tasted fresh and the rice was prepped properly. I was full and satisfied at the end of the meal.
I've seen two groups of people leaving because there weren't any vacant tables. read more
