In fact, this summer I will serve as a bridesmaid for one of my former bunkmates. Camp Tel Noar has so many great activities, almost any child can find one that they excel at. The have several different arts and craft activities, ceramics and painting, for example, as well as every sport under the sun. Wiffleball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis, kickball... the list goes on and on. Lake Sunset, the lake that Camp Tel Noar sits on, is one of the cleanest lakes in North America. The waterfront activities include swimming, boating, canoeing, windsurfing, and waterskiing. I truly wish I was still a kid so I could keep going back every summer. There is no better feeling than knowing you have the next two months to do nothing but hang out with your closest friends and play sports in the sun. On the other hand, there is nothing worse than crying outside of your bunk on the last day.

You would think it would not be easy to make friends and bond with his bunk mates but the transition was easy thanks to the camp leadership at that time. The new director has been brought a new perspective to Bauercrest. Keeping the traditions the older campers know and love while offering better daily structure and electives. The past reputation of the camp is that it was a competitive sports camp. Your child does not have to be a competitive athlete to enjoy camp. He only needs a love of participating in sports. While my kids do talk about the fun they had at sports tournaments and playing in-camp league, their fondest memories revolve around hanging out with their friends in camp or on field/bunk trips. Be careful when you are selecting a local gym as you have several to choose from. This place has unripped mats, it doesn't have a known pest issue and the coaches are not grumpy and aloof to the people paying them good money! We made the incorrect choice approximately 4 years ago but it is better late then never!
