Lobby

My detailed review with PROS & CONS to the NEW Studio. Unfortunately, the list of CONS outweigh the pros! Here are my personal thoughts before you dive into and commit to an overpriced experience. The new studio opened up on Dec 26th, 2025 proudly announcing their addition of the ONEformer machines which are the Pilates Reformer Machines. Unfortunately, these machines are NOT included in their Yoga Memberships or Unlimited Membership rather they are an additional cost to already exorbitant membership fees. While the new studio is brand new & very modern looking, it really doesn't justify the costs they put into building it which are essentially passed on to their loyal long-term members by increasing their annual fee & high membership rates for new members in an attempt to recover their building costs. The lobby is meant to give a WOW impression when you walk in however it is ridiculously & unnecessarily large. More thought should have been put into making their yoga rooms bigger since that is what the members are paying for & where they will be spending their time. The 1st Yoga Room (the larger one) is located directly behind the lobby which has a very narrow standing area which leads from the lobby to the double doors of that yoga room. Unfortunately, it doesn't leave room for members that will be finishing that class & need to exit only to be dripping their sweat on the way out & rub their sweaty elbows onto those who are waiting for the next class. Also unfortunate is the room has no windows or extra doors to air out the room after a class has finished leaving a very unwelcoming scent to enter into to set up for your next class. The 2nd Yoga room (the smaller one) is located to the right of the lobby off a very long arched fancy hallway that leads to the bathrooms which are all the way in the very far back of the building. This room is mainly used for any classes w/o weights such as; Hot 26 (fka as Bikram), Hot Pilates w/o weights, Vinyasa, Gentle & Restorative. This room is also down a very narrow hallway which is right next to the large yoga room. When the large yoga room is playing loud music, unfortunately you can hear (if not feel) the thumping of the bass while trying to meditate in the classes offered in the small room at the same time. This is definitely a bad design! In all honesty, the small room location is where the bathrooms/showers should have been placed to offer a buffer of sounds between yoga rooms & for members to have closer access to run to while in a class. The smaller yoga room should have been designed to be in the back of the building for the zen quieter experience. The 3rd room is their smallest room which is the Reformer room. This is located to the right of the lobby area , down the hallway located directly behind the front desk. This room only fits 20 reformers. Classes are only 45 minutes each & are NOT included in yoga membership which cost extra! As for the bathroom area, the owners decided on having gender neutral private showers & bath stalls. While this may sound like an upgrade, it was definitely a massive downgrade from their previous studio making it undesirable & most disturbing what appears to become a really large sanitary issue going forward. There are only 6 shower stalls. Definitely not enough when classes can have over 50 people in attendance or more with multiple classes going at the same time. Men & Women need to remain in their sweaty clothes congregating in a line waiting patiently for 1 of the 6 shower stalls to open up. When 1 member is done with their shower, they still occupy the area longer as they have to dry off & get dressed in their shower stall before opening it up for the next member to use. There is NO cleaning crew to clean in between each member's use! From personal experience, I went into a shower right after one member had exited the stall only to find lots of water all over the stall floor along with a bunch of hair. In the shower there were even small hairs either from shaving legs, face or private areas. Quite disgusting honestly & members will need shower sandals to shower there or just go home instead. The floors down the hallway to the shower stalls had standing water from all the 6 showers being in use & members still walking out dripping themselves dry. The mirrored vanity area is also located where members need to stand in line waiting for showers. Not the most comfortable situation where you are standing all clean trying to get ready while the sweaty members are just standing right behind you. Definitely a big downside in comparison to their previous studio where there were separate men & women bathrooms. This definitely eliminated the socialization where women members can easily hold conversations while getting ready doing hair & makeup in just their undergarments. Maybe the owners just want the members to leave instead of sticking around in hopes to reduce their water bill?

Absolutely amazing pilates/yoga studio. All of the instructors and staff are the BEST! The schedule has so many different styles of classes ranging from Hot Pilates to Gentle yoga. There is a class for everyone here! I love the YogaSource community it is so welcoming The new location is beautiful!! They recently added the OneFormer program which is a the best addition to this great studio! I truly look forward to every class I take at YogaSource! They have amazing new student specials such as 2 OneFormer classes for $29 as well as 3 weeks of unlimited mat classes for $69 for new students

Atmosphere: The studio is set up into three different sections - one for spin, one for strength, and the other for yoga. The facilities are modern and very clean. It's nice! Classes: The signature Spenga workout is 60 minutes - 20 minutes of spin, 20 minutes of strength, and 20 minutes of yoga. The Spin classes ramp up in intensity based on your own performance over time through increasing your "sweet spot." This is nice because you can see how much you improve over time. After a SPENGA class, I feel like I've had a great workout and love that it ends in yoga. The mix of all three parts works so well for me. I'd gotten out of the habit of working out -life got busy. And SPENGA has been great for me to get back into the swing of things. I've gotten good results in terms of fat loss and physical performance. I can't wait to see what the next six months has in store. I'd absolutely recommend giving it a try if you are looking for a new fitness activity in Los Gatos.

Because we all know how often women are gaslit, dismissed, or punished for speaking up- especially when we confront power structures that would rather protect their image than their integrity. So to every woman who saw what I saw: thank you. You validated the truth. You made it known that I wasn't alone. This is the dirty work- calling it out and refusing to be silenced. Though the emoji reactions were reset because I updated my review, the impact still stands. Photo included. ----------------- In response to their public statement - here's what they're leaving out. And the receipts. I wasn't going to respond but the level of gaslighting, dishonesty, and audacity to act like being a "premier" club gives you permission to treat clients like they're beneath you- that's exactly the rot at the core of your brand. Clearly I struck a nerve, since you chose to respond only to my review, while ignoring others with similar concerns. I was charged $336 for a month of access and then banned days later with no paperwork, no warning, and no refund until I followed up myself. Their claim that the refund was issued "as a courtesy" is laughable. It's illegal in California to take payment for services you won't render. Let's keep it real: Had I not demanded my money, they would've kept my money. That's not courtesy. That's theft. Even more outrageous? They publicly claimed there was no accusation of me receiving free training. When in fact, in their own email dated June 30, they explicitly wrote (Photos included below): "Whether formal or informal if you are working with a professional, you are receiving uncompensated services... Those sessions were not permitted." And again, you went even further: "Your complimentary workout sessions were not limited to one incident." That's direct accusation, twice. So which is it? Because if you're going to lie publicly, at least make sure it doesn't contradict your own written words. I'm embarrassed for you. I'll leave the emails here so you can refresh your memory. The receipts speak for themselves. Worst part, the harassment I reported was labeled "disruptive." Instead of addressing the behavior of their new general manager (who stalked me and gossiped about my personal life), they retaliated and victim blamed. It's abuse of power. It's ugly and disgusting behavior. And as for the wild claim that I make "malicious accusations across multiple businesses"? Go check my review history. I leave thoughtful 5-star reviews for businesses that treat people with respect. When I call out bad behavior, it's always backed by evidence, JUST LIKE this one. They're so upset I told the truth and didn't back down. Stay mad. Bottom line is: There was no inappropriate behavior on my part. I reported harassment. I asked for a refund after being charged while banned. I stood up for myself and they hate that. This gym does not care about member safety, their response doubles down on being dishonest, gaslighting, smearing and retaliating. I stand by every word of my original review and clearly I'm not alone. Now I have even more proof to support it. Screenshots available on other platforms if Yelp filters this.

I found Almaden Yoga through the Mind Body app - it's within 5 miles of the house - so decided to give it a try. The class that worked with my schedule was Wall Yoga, which was described as a class where you'd use the wall to help work on alignment in your poses. I worried that it would be a pretty mellow class but signed up anyway. My concern was completely unwarranted, at least based upon the way Anuja taught it. Using the wall meant not having to worry about balance - an issue for me given an arthritic left big toe and a chronically sprained right ankle - meaning that we could focus upon fuller expression of the poses thereby requiring greater strength. I was literally dripping sweat by halfway through the class. It's a beautiful studio, conveniently located near my childhood home. I'll be sure to come back the next time I am out for a visit.
