Technically this was only my second time visiting Yogurtland, but this experience completely changed my opinion for the better! My first visit was MANY years ago and honestly wasn't the best. I didn't really understand how everything worked and I definitely served myself more than I bargained for which left me with a bad first impression. Thankfully, I decided to give it another shot when my brother and sister asked if we could stop by after dinner for something sweet. Originally I was only planning to buy froyo for them, but after checking out the flavors I couldn't resist trying some myself. They had so many fun options like Birthday Cake and Cinnamon Sticky Bun, but I ended up going with the Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream and Fresh Strawberry flavors. Both were super tasty and not overwhelmingly sweet which I really appreciated. I also kept my toppings simple with cookie dough and peanuts, although there were tons of choices available which made the whole experience even more fun. What I enjoyed most was being able to customize everything and choose the exact portions I wanted. The self-serve setup made the experience feel interactive and stress-free, and the employees were very friendly during checkout. I also noticed the staff actively restocking toppings while I was there, which is always a great sign in my opinion. Overall, I had such an enjoyable visit and now I totally understand why so many people love Yogurtland. I'm already looking forward to coming back and would definitely recommend giving it a try if you haven't yet! read more

I visited Yogurtland today with my three kids, one of whom is only 3 years old. While we were getting toppings, my toddler grabbed a single gummy bear. I immediately corrected him and told him not to touch the toppings. The staff member on duty (long brown hair, cheetah-print phone, appeared to be fixing the front door at the time) walked over, and I apologized right away. Instead of handling the situation calmly, she dumped the entire container of gummy bears into the trash with noticeable force and attitude, then told me not to let my child touch anything. I completely understand food safety and had already addressed the issue with my child. The problem wasn't the policy -- it was the rude and aggressive way it was handled. Accidents happen with small children, and kindness goes a long way. The interaction was uncomfortable enough that I'm honestly not sure we'll be returning. read more

I don't come here often, but this visit was early in the day, pretty much right when they opened. Everything was very neat and clean. The staff was available if we needed anything--nothing over the top, but fine. All of the yogurt machines were working, the flavors tasted fresh, and there was a good variety of toppings. Since it had just opened, the place was especially clean. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and there's also a park entrance just a short walk away, which is a nice bonus. read more

Not complementary nor water for sale was available during a hot summer day. Bathroom wasn't working correctly as they mentioned the sink had no running water. I honestly have funded this place and its rent for the past year of how many times I go lol... i love it! Such a community staple. They share a variety of toppings and continue to have a rotation of new items throughout seasons even with their flavors of yogurt. Everything is always fresh and feels clean. However it seems like they are always out of yogurt.. sometimes 5 out of their 10 machines (not actually sure how many machines just coming off the top of my head) which drops down the experience a little. Little to no customer service as well but its a tini yogurt shop lol not much to expect in the first place! Plain tart being one of them, & have heard one of the staff mention the reason why its not out due to machinery issues from "high demand" usage. Delish as usual! Lots of parking lot and great customer service. We grabbed coconut, Alfonso mango and plain tart yogurt flavors. They all melt like silk in your mouth. The coconut tastes so fresh! The Alfonso mango tasted very mangoey and the plain tart (my fave) has the perfect balance of sweet/sour. This places used to be one of my favorite places to get frozen yogurt. However, the last two times i've been here the employees were very rude! As I was serving my yogurt, one of the employees was just staring at me the whole time. As I went to the topping counter and i served my toppings, the employees were hovering over me the whole time and immediately fixed the spoon right after I finished scooping. I love going here with my son, however I have to really push myself to want to go and face the employees, after all the bad reviews about them I tried to take the benefit of the doubt, but everytime I've gone there I feel like I'm being watched like a hawk, once I get to the toppings counter every worker I've encountered is hovering near us to see us scoop everything, I get it if we need help but it's more like what are we going to do wrong, and immediately after every scoop they adjust the spoon how they want it presented, which there's nothing wrong with that but I'd assume you'd want to make sure we're done putting our toppings instead of picking the spoon up and adjusting it right after we put it down. The most disgusting, disrespectful experience I've had with two employees last night instead of acknowledging their inappropriate behavior and there demeanor attitude towards us. We asked for sample cups and they said "no". Rolling their eyes and continue with attitudes while paying with our yogurt. Haven't been to Yogurtland in a while and we decided to bring the kids for a treat after practice. I received a coupon for buy one get the 2nd one for free, so that's a plus since I don't remember the other froyo places doing that. Yogurtland has tons of flavors, I got the peanut butter yogurt and a little bit of the peaches & cream yogurt. Both were really good; however I was really feeling the peanut butter flavor. It didn't taste like yogurt at all, in fact, I felt like I was eating a peanut butter ice cream. I definitely know what flavor I'm gonna get next time we come back. Toppings weren't as stocked up as I had wanted as I like to add tons of fruits, but I believe it's because it's been really hot lately so the facility stays active w customers. I believe they have more of an option on toppings versus Tutti Fruiti, so if toppings are your thang... then Yogurtland it is. The facility was semi clean and again I believe it's due to the active customers coming in and out. Staff was incredibly nice as they greeted everyone that walked in and everyone that left. I understand we live in a time where people are hesitant to have any contact or be around others. I also understand there's policies set in place for my safety, and employees of all types of different businesses. What I do have a problem with; is when you are not treated with dignity, especially when you have kids. Both employees that were behind the counter were less than courteous (not necessarily rude), but seemed to be numb to human interaction. My 4 year-old daughter touched the plastic barrier on the outside between toppings and the lobby, and was told not to touch the plastic. It is a protective barrier to keep any bacteria germs, or any other airborne particles away from the topping station. I get it. However; when you have kids, they touch things. My daughter was asked twice not to touch the outside of a thick plastic barrier. I wasn't politely (or even rudely) asked to have her stand back a couple feet. I would have been more than polite to do so. That was just rude. As we were walking over to pay, my daughter touched a gift card that was sitting by the scales. In a rude manner, the shaggy-looking young man behind the counter told her not to touch anything. I asked her to stand back again. When asked for my card, I expressed to the same young man that I would rather not have my card touched by him since I did not know what he had touched or the last time he changed his gloves. He was okay with me inserting the card on the reader. Have a little more humanity. If you're scared, stay home. When you want children to step back from the counter, address the parents in a polite and professional manner. What I can say is; after being a customer for many years, I will never return nor do business with yogurtland again. read more

Frozen yogurt places in Bakersfield are a dime a dozen but this one is top notch! I love that they keep a good rotation of flavors as well as keeping their top flavors always available. They even have a list for customers to add their name to so they can text or email you when your favorite flavor is back. The toppings here are plentiful. From fresh fruit, to nuts, to candy, and sauces they have something to make your treat your favorite. There isn't a ton of seating inside but they do have several tables outside with umbrellas and if you are eating frozen yogurt the heat isn't too bad. They also always have cold strawberry infused water with cups for free near the door. They also have always offered sample cups when we walk in. Currently on Tuesdays from 3-7pm yogurt is 25 cents an ounce. My kids and I love this place all around. read more

The 4 stars was for the place being super clean, nice employees and nothing was really super bad.
