Since Apotheca sits in a small space, one is immediately greeted by staff, ready to offer over-the-counter; prescription or compounding medicine assistance. With small architectural details-tiled floors, white-gold accents and sleek shelving-the pharmacy feels like a boutique showroom, accessible and inviting, engaging curiosity of all the fashionable (and useful!) must-haves for the medicine cabinet. (Why can't you be sick with style and get well too?!) In that regard, Apotheca has also succeeded with another discerning provision: serotonin-producing interior design! If the lab services are equivalent to their over-the-counter help, then this pharmacy is supremely welcome, not only to the neighbourhood, but Toronto too. The owner/pharmacist went to school at UofT and decided to come back to the area to open up this business, which I think is pretty neat. He was very helpful when I went in to fill prescriptions for the first time, and was welcoming to the neighbourhood when he learnt i'd just moved nearby. He even called to my old pharmacy to move my existing prescriptions, and has been great about getting orders done when I call in ahead of picking up. They have a small range of miscellaneous products you'd find at just about any pharmacy - snacks, misc health products, greeting cards, etc etc. Dispensing fees are pretty on par with most pharmacies, and just above places such as Walmart. Shorter hours mean that in a pinch for emergency prescriptions and products I might have to go elsewhere, but i'll stick with them for my regular prescriptions for sure. Overall, a win! Nice to have an owner-operated pharmacy in the neighbourhood.

Quoted me $ 538.00 and after regaining consciousness I declined to authorize the script . My doctor at a top CDN hospital said that this medication at other pharmacies should run $ 125.00- $ 175.00 . Incidentally we received, another quote on the same medication and paid them $ 185.00 . No need for the owner ( guy in white coat in the picture) to come on here try and justify his outrageous prices . My current pharmacist informs me several of his customers have turned to Pace when requiring compounding and Received the same pricing . Some businesses still feel the need to gouge customers especially when your clientele resides in high income area .Not buying this malarkey.

There was a lady that took my prescription and said it was going to be 15 minutes . She got all my information wrong . I asked her to fix it , she yelled at me . After an hour wait , I asked her when it was going to be ready , she yelled at me and said they are very busy and I should be grateful they took my prescription. She charged me 11 dollar dispensing fee . After 2 hours , they gave me the wrong medication and I asked to speak to the pharmacist. I waited another 30 minutes. He didn't even apologize. He was very dismissive and offered me a free over the shelf medication. I will never go back there . I will report his mistake to the college of pharmacy

Selection is fairly good. The organization of products within the store is still not great for browsing. Items of the same kind will be in different sections of the store. Pricing is variable. Some prices are good, while others are more expensive compared to other stores. You would need to consider the price of each item, because it's hard to generalize. The pharmacy in the middle of the store gives vaccines by appointment. This is a great service to offer in a convenient location. It's nice to be able to shop for groceries during the post-vaccine waiting period. Service is okay. Checkout is fairly efficient, and there is self-checkout (although some of the self-checkout machines have problems).

He answered all my questions and assisted me with enthusiasm and care. The pharmacist made sure to order my medication and called me the next day as soon as he received it. Talk about great customer service!! The location is great too, just steps away from the subway and I learned they have a walk-in clinic which is super convenient! I'm happy I finally found the neighborhood pharmacy I will be returning too!
