Everything great - small negative that the bathroom needs a few minor repairs but everything worked and was fine. Overall highly recommended. Oh there was a a slightly funny smell in the room which when i mentioned it a cleaner was sent quite promptly to try and find a problem whuch there wasn't and it cleared up after opening the window for a short while.

Long story short, an employee helped us in finding another hotel (as they were fully booked) at that late hour and secured a deal for us at our new hotel. For out of country foreigners, this employee went well out of his way to help us and it was much appreciated. He didn't benefit from helping us.

We were welcomed by Tony, who also sorted out our car (parked on the street in front of the hotel) The bedrooms are furnished very nicely without the usual chintz you might expect and there are plenty of added extras in all the rooms - toiletries, tissues, biscuits, range of hot drinks - everything you might need. The TVs also have 2 satellite channels and DVD player (DVDs available to borrow from the lounge downstairs. The breakfast was a decent portion and tasted good.

It was still too hot for me to get a good night's rest. My bathroom was tiny. A larger person would not be comfortable in the small shower. They do provide shampoo, body wash, lotion, shaving kit, dental kit. Most don't anymore. They provided bottled water, Kettle with coffee, tea, hot cocoa is nice to have. There is no iron, but there is an ironing room down the hall and a pant press in the room. There was a flat screen t.v., hairdryer, good amount of outlets at the desk (but not near the bed). Staff is nice. The lift works good. There is a restaurant and a bar on the other side. They also offer room service 24/7. You're a skip, hop, and jump away from beach front which is lovely. It's not a loud location, but you do hear the sea gulls.

Nice hotel just off the main seafront so not far from the main town centre either…read more Food good traditional stuff and staff serving very fast on their feet which is unusual an appreciated. Used a lot by bus parties but individual guests not overlooked at all and looked after just the same. Rooms fair and reasonably comfortable but somewhat small. Not exceptional and a bit impersonal being quite large in size. You may have to put up with enforced Bingo run by bus parties but some people like that i suppose.

They will answer your email quickly if you have any questions when booking your reservation, as well as send you a confirmation email a few days before you arrive. We came here for the 2017 AIMS Summer Music course in Eastbourne College and loved the convenience of having the Birley Centre directly across from the hotel and the rest of the classrooms one or two blocks away. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful, although a little absent minded at times (they forgot to refill our toilet paper a few times during our one week stay). On the main floor, there is an electronic piano that saved my life on a few occasions when the practice rooms in the Birley Centre were locked. Overall, I would definitely return on my next trip to Eastbourne!

Downstairs there is a bar, a billiards table and plenty of comfy chairs to sit in. Staff were friendly and polite. Pros: Location is great, the rooms were clean and well kept. Plenty of towels to spare and the price was right (45 quid for 2 twin beds/one night). Large window that overlooked the seafront/pier. Room included a TV with cable access. Cons: The window did not lock, and there wasn't a windscreen or a latch, so we didn't get to open the window. The beds in the room were spring mattresses, which is a bit out of date and could have been more comfortable. The room did not include any complimentary items like soap, shampoo, or other bar soap; however, a liquid soap dispenser was attached to the wall.

The parking is not great to be honest but the staff are really nice in this hotel and always have a smile and time for a quick chat.
