Tips:
- This station is connected to the GO bus terminal.
- This station has a passenger dropoff and pickup area.
I visited York Mills subway station often when I was an undergraduate student at Glendon College. I'd often take the bus to Lawrence station, take the subway up to York mills, and then take the 95 York Mills bus to get to Scarborough.
When I had a friend who was in town from Winnipeg, I'd take the subway to York Mills station and then catch the GO bus that got me to Toronto Pearson International Airport. I'm not sure if this route still exists or if you now need to hit the Yorkdale GO bus terminal to get o the airport.
This station at the platform level looks the same. It's still a light mint green. It has been that way since I have always remembered this subway station.
It's a part of the Yonge-University-Spadina line. These days, it's known as line 1.
In the past, you could park across the street, at the northwest corner of Wilson and Yonge. As expected when you're in Toronto, a condominium is being built there, so commuters can't park and take the subway anymore.
There are a bunch of buses that you can connect from this station. I've only done the 95 York Mills and 97 Yonge buses in my commuter career.
There's still a passenger dropoff and pickup area. I like using it to pick up and drop off friends.
I'm glad that this station is still here, along with the GO station next door.
