My father had been taken into hospital following a fall down the stairs. A few weeks later he was moved from hospital to nursing care and the local authority sent out an assessment form straight away and told me because dad owns his house he would have to start paying. By chance I talked to a friend who put me onto Yorkshire Asset Protection. Although too late to put anything into place, with their help and guidance (all totally free) I was able to get dad assessed properly and the NHS are picking up the bill.
