I have to agree with one of Nell's earlier reviews (also now removed) from LL in Yeadon that did…read moreNOT recommended her in that they stated: "Nell Berrey comes across as a very pleasant if not a little over talkative woman to deal with but, as an review posted on this site which has now disappeared stated, she is impossible to contact if she doesn't want to talk to you." This has been very much the case with my dealings with her, in that she still owes me money for an item of furniture that she never provided. However, it took her months and months to confirm that she was not going to provide the item and now even longer for her to provide the refund. Just to confirm Nell is impossible to contact and does not respond to messages or letters when she owes money. As the earlier reviewer also stated, 'I regret not heeding the warning in the earlier review that has now disappeared. Was it removed by this site? Or was it removed by the reviewer after Nell sorted the problems she was having? If so would it be possible for Nell to sort out my problem?' I hope that she either catches up with her admin (if that is what it is and I would like to give her the benefit to believe this) and repays the funds she owes.

On my prior visits to Horsforth I had somehow managed to miss the main street of shops for the lesser shopping area, not that either are worth overlooking as both have a lot to offer. However, this meant that I hadn't found the Horsforth branch of David James. On another visit, on the advice that there are a number of great clothing shops, I happily discovered this secondary branch. Yet again I was impressed by their imaginative and beautiful window displays! There was one whole section themed in blues, ivories and greys with some delightful wall papers - one was embossed with a menagerie of zoo animals and another had a silver birch tree pattern for example. The display was finished off with other decorative examples of materials, blinds and other items. There was another window which was themed in rich reds and oranges, with some luxury cushions and curtains on show, all put together in a bit more of a vintage fashion. All in all, the shop is a delight to wander around and get some great interiors ideas/advice. There are hundreds of different materials and themes to browse and it's certainly a great starting place if you're thinking of an overhaul in one of your rooms! Now, if only I had my own home so that I might utilise such a lovely place! I think the only odd touch to the shop was the Marilyn Manson painting by the door, but hey, even if it didn't quite match the style of the shop it was pretty cool! With made to measure curtains, fabrics from £10 a metre, accessories, design, lighting and more, this place is a great place to start if you're going for that all important redecoration.

My health has been bad, and my normal sort outs had not been done. It was too much for me to handle on my own, especially with my back problems. I am not your typical tv hoarder, but all the same I had acquired a lot of things not needed. I had help with the lifting of heavy items and cleaning as we went along. Miriam organised things into an order that made sense. She also put together my new flat pack dressing table. Miriam made a pile of items needed for recycling, and took it all with her when she left. Her rates were good, and she worked hard all day x
