This beach park is big, the website boasts over 60 acres of land. Since this is a beach slap on the sunscreen and soak up those rays, vitamin deficient folks will have no problem producing more vitamin D as the sun is scorching! There are open and covered picnic areas for you to barbecue. I think these areas require a permit and a fee and are only available to residents of the town. The beach has at least 2 life guards at every marked swimming area and these guys and gals do their job, so people please swim within the flags! Food options are limited and the concession stand is only opened on the weekends, the prices are fairly reasonable. The beach park is pet friendly and they provide baggies at certain stations so you can clean up after your pooch. There is a fee for parking $15 for residents and $20 if you're not a resident. A great place to spend a weekday or weekend to get away from the heat or just hang.

First part was just huge rocks which hey that can't be helped I get it. We walked down the other way which was okay. It was also sort of dirty I mean maybe off season okay I get it. Just the beach park in Oyster bay off season doesn't look like this. Since this is like our only beach/bay whatever I'll let things slide. I'm still annoyed just at the fact we barely get any beaches but that's a whole other issue (with the county whatever lol) Like Mineola is just the no beach for you! Except this one. Obviously yes we can go to literally any beach if you wanna pay non resident fees or go to actual real beaches Jones, long beach, robert moses etc. I'll just stop my ranting and it's not this beaches fault lol. It is in a really peaceful area and there isn't much noise from the road. there are benches spread around the park and a bunch of pretty trees. As the name suggests, the park has a big pond and area surrounding it. There aren't really any paths in the park which is a little difficult for when it is muddy. There are also a lot of goose droppings covering essentially the entire park. I guess a path would make up for this but maybe extra pick up is needed. It was like walking through a minefield.

Todays visit to the Community Center in Syosset Woodbury Park had an Hour long Holiday Magic…read morepresentation by the Silver Songbirds. ( see pix) For those who might be using a GPS be aware once entering the park to make aright turn and follow to the back parking lot where the Center is. The group was lead by Susan Lilli's - Conductor & Narrator. They sang a variety of holiday songs and did a few skits, also handing out candy canes to the audience. "Nancy" played the drum for " Little drummer boy". They ended with "Auld Lang Syne wishing the audience good holidays and Happy New Year. In the back there were a few snacks for the sharing. The building itself has some children's decor, a display of wall tiles and a little Christmas tree in the hall.

Very spacious and clean pools. About 50-100 tanning lounge chairs to choose from. Very attentive lifeguards. Snack bar is available as well. A diving pool, Olympic pool, swimming lanes, adult section, and various feet of water to swim in. This is all included when you pay the one time fee for the day. So sad I only learned about them towards the end of the summer! They close on Labor Day. Will definitely make it a staple to come back next summer.
