I would like to give positive testimony regarding how much better I am physically and mentally due to Jacky Zitelli's classes for the Senior Silver Sneaker classes. I am 78 years old, have been attending her classes 2-3 X/week for about 8 months, and I feel better physically, am able to do things I wasn't able to do before due to increased strength and endurance. I went in to sign up for Chair Yoga. I was told I would see a personal trainer once a week. I never asked for a personal trainer. I am in my seventies and by no means physically fit. My second time with the trainer he had me do thirty squats. I had difficulty walking out I was in so much pain. I called to cancel and was told I had to go in when the person was there that signed me up. I now know it was part of the runaround to prolong things. I could go in the following day by 9a.m. or M-W by noon. I was there Monday morning at 8:30. I was then told I needed a doctor's note. When I went in with the note it was faxed to corporate, I disputed the charge with my credit card company. YOUFIT said it was nonrefundable. I was not told that when I signed up. You can't speak to anyone at corporate. When I called the local gym this morning, I was told my dispute was after the billing date. Well, of course it was due to the run around I was given. I would never recommend this place to anyone. My next step will either an attorney or the local news. read more

I don't know how many times I had to verbally repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat was repetitive redundant rhetorical same crap over and over again and they still wasn't getting it they still wasn't absorbing it I had to write it down and they still didn't catch on how can you lose somebody's membership three times every time they come in there within a 3 week period especially suha and Devin the two bozos who caught an attitude because I was aggravated and frustrated at the fact that they lost my information and I had to go to this over and over and over and over and over again and every time I went over it they said oh it's never going to happen again we got you in the system we know who you are don't worry about it you're good to go yeah yeah yeah and this went on and on and on broken promises broken crap hola broken mindsets broken brains if they had any. Have to join homework on them I found out how many problems they've had with people customers monetary issues corruption bankruptcy and so on I said I don't want nothing to do with them. He seemed trustworthy, and I planned to stay with your gym long-term since it's only 2 minutes from my home. This review has to do with the Greenacres branch. While the staff are friendly and the gym is clean the management is not to be trusted. They got rid of my trainer and never bothered to tell me until I showed up for my training session last Wednesday. At that time I didn't want to continue with another trainer and asked the manager (Yuen) to cancel my account. He said that he would even tho I had not given them a 30 day notice. That was a lie! They charged my account yesterday for the next months training sessions. Last Friday I checked in to exercise and another manager persuaded me to finish out the remaining (3) sessions with a different trainer. He said someone would call me. That was last Friday, 10/20. I will say the staff was nice, but my kid was telling me that he cussed at him, even after the remodeling it's still seems pretty old, most of the seats for the Smith machines were broken and the paint was scratching and under was green. This is one of the better YouFit centers, probably due to it being a Health Club rather than the normal one! It's one of the bigger ones with group fitness, express circuit, you stretch, etc. The equipment here is color coded with green for lower body and purple for upper. Lots of equipment and a mirror to see your form. Not the worst, not the best! The front desk guy was friendly. read more

Be warned of an annual fee that is charged after 60 days, regardless if the membership is canceled well before those 60 days. The Local staff as well as the "corporate" support staff were unwilling to waive this fee, regardless of the fact that I used the facility for one month and cancelled well before the 60 day mark. These practices are very unfortunate and the lack of empathy on behalf of the local and corporate support team has shown that their priorities lie on increasing their bottom line at the expense of customer satisfaction and loyalty. I'm giving this review for my grandmother who is 89 years old. A little over 2 years ago her Dr said she should get a little walking in. She went in to Youfit and joined. Of course she had full intentions of going however being 87 when she joined it really never happened. So this past weekend she informed me that she has gym membership and has NEVER used it.. ok no problem but now we need to go cancel because she doesn't need a membership. I drive her to your gym and the front desk men were in the middle of a conversation. They finished their convo and my grandma so kindly ask to cancel her account. Your front desk man proceeded to say "oh no, you can just freeze it for 6 months." She says no thank you and then he continues to say it again to her.. I buy in and say she has never used this account I didn't even know about it until today (Sunday) and she needs to cancel not freeze. He replies with an attitude "it's $10" I was throughly confused. And asked what's $10. He says. "Well if you want to cancel it cost $10" my mind was absolutely blown away. I asked to have a print out of her agreement when she signed up, he ignored me. Then he proceeded to ask her is she ok. She said she's almost 90 so a bunch of stuff. He then keeps saying well you never used your account so I hope everything is ok. He's saying all of this with an attitude his tone made her really upset. We left there and she was extremely upset. Because little did this man know she has some serious health issues and yet he was so persistent on getting her to keep her pass. I asked twice more for a print out of the agreement and on the 3rd ask he says "check her email from when she signed up it'll be there." The overall experience was horrible, we searched her email and there was no agreement to be found. She says they never told her there was a $10 fee to cancel. If you plan on getting a gym membership go somewhere else where they don't charge you to cancel. Life happens and for a company to take a fee to no longer be apart of their establishment is flat out wrong. Customer service was also horrible, these people need to be taught to listen to their customers and not try to convince them to freeze for 6 months. read more

Out of all Youfits from Miami up so far this is the best one! I love that there is two squat racks, the layout of the gym is great. You can change up your workout and TVs everywhere so you can catch the game that's in during break. Highly recommended and staff is great! read more

Still charged me during the month of April even though the pandemic has had the business closed since march. A time where many of us are struggling to pay bills/groceries and waiting on stimulus checks to survive. You can't cancel online and must go in person to the still closed gym. This pandemic has showed us the lowly business practices of Youfit. A company that couldn't halt charges for at least one month in a time of crisis. Struggling Americans during this turbulent time like myself who need money for another things to survive and they still charged me; with thousands dying every day across the world. I went to the Silver Sneakers class for the first time and it was great fun. Since I'm not athletic that was a surprise. The instructor's name was Jackie and she was excellent. It wasn't boring at all. The staff at this location are particularly friendly and helpful too. Walking through the gym I saw that it was very clean and well maintained. People were exercising and looked happy. Very pleasant experience altogether. read more

I've had a membership with youfit for 2 years. Been going to the same one for over a year. About 6 months ago they changed their policy and removed the key holder in all facilities. That was an inconvenience but I dealt with it, figuring I could still just give my phone number (since they took my picture for my file). Fast forward to about a month ago and now they know longer take your phone number which is beyond stupid. I hate toting my keys around, and the workers (who have seen me come to this same gym for over a year) act like brats and give full attitude when I ask if I can just give my telephone number since again my picture is on file!!! Ugh. I'm seriously planning to leave youfit altogether. read more

I guess I should start with, you get what you pay for when it comes to gym memberships. Scott at the front desk is the rudest, most concrete, policy screamer, no customer service person I've ever seen or dealt with. I have never been so humiliated in front of others when it comes to him. Despite the fact that I spoke with the general manager I never got an apology from him nor the manager. I was told he was going to get reprimanded for the way he handled my situation but I highly even doubt it'll happen. There are ways to deliver a policy reminder and the way Scott did it was inappropriate and mean. I have had personal training sessions consistently each month since I started with Adrian whom was super kind but ended up losing my file when he quit. Oh well, I didn't think there was any harm in that because I could start again. But the organization of the files needs an upgrade because if a person who quit can lose files then who knows how safe our financial information is???? But I'm not going to have a grudge on what a past employer did to you. But I will have a grudge on what a current employee does to a customer and the way Scott spoke to me was unforgiving. Being told that my children were not allowed in the gym at all was very wrong. According to your policy children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children must be at least 13 to enter the gym, Scott at no point even bothered to ask how old my children were. They were of age, and he refused to even try to work it out. Scott is not customer service oriented and truly needs help in a thing or two on how to try to resolve customer conflicts. Have an aggressive approach such as him is unreal. I am in customer service and there are ways to speak to people. Even if I am in the wrong, there are ways to try to resolve it. The only person who tried to resolve the issue was my personal trainer. Unfortunately because of Scott, I have transferred my sessions to another Youfit. If I have another issue such as this again, I am going to cancel Youfit in it's entirety because then I'll just assume they don't know how to hire customer service oriented personnel. read more

I wish I could give this 0 stars but since it is not an option I went with one. Don't get me wrong, I had been a Youfit member for several years in other locations. In Colorado the You Fits are clean and tidy. When I moved to Florida, I simple transferred my membership. I was quickly disappointed by how different this location is! There was vomit in the restrooms on several occasions that took hours to clean up. After dealing with this for a while I decided to cancel our membership. They said it was all cancelled (mine and my husbands) but apparently his was not submitted as I was lead to believe. One year later, I am still getting harassed because apparently they never cancelled his membership and they expect me to pay a year worth of membership fees when it was their mistake. I have tried speaking with the manager, contacting his superior, etc to no avail. Needless to say, I will not be returning. read more

They tell you that you are cancelled but they continue to try to process your card and continue to call you with "we're sorry, we cannot process your card call." Be Careful!!! Put in serious thought before beginning a training session with a youfit trainer. When you join the gym they say you have a free personal training session which made me believe they would assess what I wanted out of workouts and a gym membership and then show me how to achieve that for my future workouts. When I took the free assessment, it seemed to just try and sell you their trainers. It didn't look like they did anything to help me when I worked out on my own, only tried and get me to sign up for personal training which is very pricey! I decided to do the personal trainer for the OBLIGATED 3 months when my chronic asthma became a big issue and I found out I had to cancel my membership and could not workout anymore. I called them after my doctor's appointment and one of their employee's told me that it wasn't a problem and that all I needed to do was bring in the doctor's note and I would be refunded for any/all months I was not able to come in due to my health. He said I could come in whenever to do this (He told me he was some sort of health and wellness rep at the company). Seeing as how I was told that I could come in at any time and that I would receive a full refund for each month, I saw no rush in coming to cancel and did not come in until I was in the area again, 2-3 months later. When I did come in last week, I was told that my doctor's note didn't hold up because it was handwritten by the doctor, that just because the note says I have chronic asthma doesn't mean I cannot work out, and that I would not receive a refund for any months or for any training sessions I could not come to. When I told them that I was told by one of their employees something completely different, they found out who it was, and then said he does not have the front desk knowledge and therefore everything he said was invalid. So even though their own employee told me something that was apparently false, they would not do anything about it. I have never felt so disrespected in my life with a business and hope that you truly consider where you are putting your money! Just because it's cheaper than other gyms does not mean you will get the same quality service! I was appalled and will never go back to them again. read more
