The fish was fresh, clean-tasting, and beautifully prepared. What stood out was the fish-to-rice ratio--the portions were generous on fish and restrained on rice, allowing the seafood to be the star. I made an online order for a sashimi dinner... it was delicious... best takeout sushi I've had in my hotel room in quite some time. The fish melted in my mouth. The salmon had a nice flavor to it, with a slight smoke flavor.I wish I had more rice, but, that doesn't change my review. I enjoyed my meal so much I had to call the restaurant back to tell them how good it was. I'll definitely be coming back here again the next time I'm in town. When I walked in to pick up my order, the place was very clean. The lady at the register was very nice. I picked up my order around 4:30pm. My first visit here, definitely will not be my last. We walked in, it is a small restaurant, very clean, simple, perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. The kitchen was spotless. The Chef was making our sushi in the front of the restaurant. Which is really important to me. A chef who doesn't hide his kitchen is confident in the quality of their food, and their cleanliness. I ordered 2 sushi rolls. I cannot remember which ones. But they were extremely fresh and tasty. I will think on it while typing and see if I remember. I have "Chemo Brain" so it hard. I know you're not supposed to have Sushi while on Chemo, but I have been craving it for weeks. I decided it was time for treat. My Dr told me yes, as long as I picked a top notch place. My husband is skeptical of sushi, so I ordered him shrimp fried rice, and Hibachi beef with veggies and rice. We ordered online, ahead of time while we were out running errands. We arrived early. We were graciously welcomed by both the Chef, and a very nice woman. We took it to go, and drove home. Super easy, and I think it is a husband and wife team. A very kind woman packed our bags. I was so happy that she put the Sushi In a separate bag, than the hot food. This might sounds simple, but it is a HUGE mistake that many restaurants make. I usually always get my sushi hot or salads wilted by steam when we order to go, so it was a nice treat, that care and common sense was used. The sushi was amazing. Ooh I remember now! lol. 1 of my dishes was a tempura roll, with Tuna on top, Avocado, and spicy sauce. The 2nd dish was similar, but made with real crab meat. It had something in it that gave it nice crunch. May have been tempura chips. My husband liked the shrimp fried rice, they chopped the shrimp up small, so at first he didn't see any. But he liked the flavors. He said it made the flavor more consistent. The Beef Hibachi dish, he said wasn't worth it. Too little beef. There were a lot of squash in the mixed veggies. He is not a squash fan. I helped him eat it and I liked it. But I can see that the portions are not "Big man" sized. Which I knew taking him there. But Japanese food is not usually pig out plates. It's nice healthy food. That's is what I wanted, and since I am sick, I got what I wanted. haha! He actually really enjoyed my Sushi. He didn't finish the shrimp fried rice, so he cooked up some chicken later that evening, and mixed it with the shrimp fried rice. we ate again as a 2nd meal. It was delicious. We both decided they have excellent sushi, one of the best places I've had in Rochester. We will be coming back again. We will probably stick with Sushi and maybe try their noodles. I think next time we will eat there. Even though we had some things we didn't care for. I did want to judge the menu, until we try more of it. It was touted on Google and Yelp as a sushi restaurant, not as a full service Japanese restaurant. As a result I am giving a pass on what we didn't like. Maybe it's been a while since I've been to a sushi restaurant versus pick up at Wegmans, but I was so impressed by the beautiful plating. I was awed and eager to eat it! I ordered the Tuna Flower app and the OMG roll. I tasted more of the different sauces rather than the fish itself but still all good. The OMG is stuffed with various different fish. The Plaza on the outside isn't much, but the inside is clean and the folks are very nice. read more

Wow wow wow, this is the spot for some quality sushi! I was not sure what to expect from the looks of the outside but when you step in, it's super nice, new and clean. To start, I ordered the tuna flower which is basically a tuna roll filling with avocado on the outside. It was simple yet delicious and had a beautiful presentation. I also ordered the honey roll which was packed with sweet flavors like mango and had a nice sweet drizzle over the top. Paired with the tempura shrimp and crab salad, it was a delicious combination. The sushi chef/owner brought the food over to us and you could tell he was very proud of his dishes and you could definitely see the effort he put in to make sure it was a special dish. So happy to have another sushi option in Rochester! Even happier that it checks all the boxes on my restaurant list. I haven't been dining out much, as many haven't, and sushi is something I always prefer eating immediately served so it hasn't made its way into my takeouts- though they seemed to have a steady flow of takeout orders as well. A couple of what looked like regulars came in to dine and the restaurant felt very homey. Parking is easy and accessible, spacious parking lot in a small strip. Very clean and tidy, I couldn't recognize anything from the previous business, Cha Chat Café. They've decorated beautifully. Every table had its own hand sanitizer and there was plenty of seating to sit apart from other diners. Our server was sweet and our chef stopped by to say hello after we ate. Always appreciated, especially when they were so generous with our order. The food! We ordered Shumai that came out quickly and at the perfect temperature (it might sound odd but I'm really picky with temperature when it comes to appetizers and sushi). Followed our sashimi dinner that cane with a side of sushi rice, one Snow White roll, and two orders of Eel sushi. Everything was presented with care and the quality was amazing. The temperature of the sushi rice and the seafood was perfect (again, so important and definitely noticeable). Overall, highly recommend and can't wait to dine here again! read more

My girlfriend and I went there yesterday for lunch. We heard a new restaurant that was replaced by old Asian desserts & bubble tea. I don't remember the name but it was good. They have a private parking lot and very easy to find this place. The employees were very friendly and communicate with us. Their food was very fresh and we did not expect that they gave us the delicious vanilla bean ice cream. We were in heaven and love it!!! They bid bye to us as we left. Yesterday I went again with just me and my husband and I suffer from some health issues and yesterday showed me that not everyone around us only thinks about them selfs . After are meal I had taken my medication and became very lethargic my husband was with me it was very difficult for me as I had suffered a stroke before. The owner and the young lady I am not sure if it's his wife were amazing they gave me water . The gentleman help my husband get me out side safe to get air . Upon pick up we arrived 20 minutes early to find out they did not have our order at all. The owners, Tsae and his lovely wife were professional, warm and welcoming! He took my order again apologetically and we were off and running! We were treated to a cup of delicious warm tea, and pleasant conversation, while Tsae prepared the sushi. He surprised us with an extra maki roll at no charge and put everything on a tray garnished with fresh mint and two gorgeous orchid blossoms. I almost cried when he did that!! It was so so special bc we were celebrating with our family that evening our 50th wedding anniversary and my 73rd birthday! Thank you so very much Tsae and to his lovely wife! We will return for dinner! Can't wait!! A side note that if you want sushi on a tray it must meet $100 minimum and we certainly did not come close to that figure! Ordered take out tonight. The tuna flower and Okinawa Roll just melt in your mouth. The Chicken fried rice and Yukon Soba are full of flavor and the chicken is so tender. The food was ready at scheduled pick up time. The hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. My Thai tea Bubble Tea was made fresh at pick up. The service was prompt and the staff, I think the owners, were very friendly and appreciative. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of the menu. read more

Just a few days before Veteran's day, I inquired about a Military Discount, and the owner, Mr. Sai was very accommodating and I got the feeling he is very supportive of service members.
